The place smells of over use of bleach or some kind of cleaning products. Only had 1 option of dairy free. Asked the lady worked here and she questioned me like I was crazy. She goes to check only to open the lid and see it was empty. Looks like someone forgot to do their job. Hilarious that they have a tip jar and ask for a tip when there is two employees working, on their phones the entire time and when my kid tripped and fell they snapped at me because she was crying. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. The yogurt shop and bathroom were very clean. My family was very pleased with the selection of topping and different types of yogurt. The prices are pretty standard to other yogurt places. We would definitely come back if we're in the area again. read more

My granddaughter and I were greeted by a very friendly young man named Jonothan at the Yogurt Beach off Hwy 50. As I sat there enjoying my delicious yogurt, I wittnessed him greet every customer with the same upbeat personality. It took my granddaughter 2 years old some time to finish. As customers left Jonothan would leave the counter and constantly clean up the place. It was so refreshing to have that kind of service and smiles in this day in age. read more

Walked in early evening, no one behind counter. Two young teen boys getting a yogurt so assumed they were customers. No one greeted us so assumed employee was just in back. Finally walked to the counter with yogurt and one of the teen boys, with pants low enough to fall off, slowly walked over. I asked "do you work here"? "Yeah" he answered. "Great, I guess were ready to pay then". No customer service whatsoever. The floors and under tables were unbelievably dirty. There was a pile of floor sweepings next to a broom just outside the back room (kitchen?). There was dirt and debris under the tables and under the dirty front windows. This place needs some serious TLC. The yogurt is always excellent as are the variety of toppings. No problem there. read more

We have been going here 2-3 times a month for a year. This place has gone downhill! There needs to be an adult that knows what the hell is going on working there at all times. The machines and trays are disgusting, the floors and bathroom are gross, the squeeze bottles are sticky and when the yogurt machine won't dispense (like today) the employees don't know what to do. No service is provided so why is there a tip jar or why does the cash register ask for a tip % when using a credit card? If the health department walked in there, this place would get an F. read more

Definitely not the same as it used to be!!! Very sloppy and messy. Trays where yogurt drips into had not been emptied in awhile, areas needed a wipe down and attendants jacket was just tossed on the counter. So sad. read more

Came into town to pick up some plants from Greenhouse garden,. Of course I stop at the first gas station in sight, and as I was filling up, there was the sign for my favorite frozen yogurt! I'm a big fan of Yogurt Beach, and have turned in many reward punch cards ( frequent rewards)! Amazing, new and clean store! I hope this review reaches the owners of Yogurt Beach in Carson. Yesterday (Monday 9/16) I checked your website for your open hours. It said 11AM-9PM. I arrived at 11:30AM (I only had 30 minutes for lunch, and I was on a time crunch with the drive to and from work). The OPEN sign is lit up, the lights are on, but the door is locked. I double check the hours on the door (11AM-9PM). I don't see anyone inside. So, I go back to my car to look up a number to call. As I was doing this, I see an employee walking around inside. I get out to go to the door, but again, the doors are locked, and she doesn't see me and walks to back of the store. I waited a few minutes. Finally, at 11:40AM she comes and unlocks the door. I asked her what time they open. "We open at 11AM, but I forgot to unlock the doors." I quickly grab my yogurt and she's gone in the back AGAIN! I have to yell to her that I need to check out! I really like this yogurt shop. The selections/flavors are great (when the machines are working) and so are the hours when the doors are unlocked. BUT the employees are TERRIBLE. This was NOT my first time experiencing this. The employees I have encountered just DON'T CARE. The counter is rarely managed because they are ALWAYS in "the back" and you have to yell for help. read more

This is our favorite ice cream stop ever BUT today we had Myra at the register, she was talking and flirting with a boy our entire stay, loud and annoyingly. When I asked for hot fudge she was severely annoyed that she had to stop her conversation to help a customer. We love this place and will continue being weekly customers but this is our first and only bad experience. Thanks for ruining our mother son day Myra. The decorations in this place are excellent and they usually are happy to have a movie running for the kids but when my Son went to ask Myra to put a movie on she just said "I can't." I came in today at 5:05 p.m. I was welcomed cheerfully by the person at the register. I have a free 8 ounce coupon that I previously verified was saved to my five star account and has not expired. When I gave my phone number, she barked, NO YOU DON'T! I had to show her the confirmation on my phone to convince her. She looked really mad. When I first weighed my yogurt, it was 7 ounces, so I added some cookie dough topping. It came to a total of 8.1 ounces, so I knew I owed a little money. She rudely demanded 85 cents. I was previously planning to tip her since she was so nice when I arrived, but then she turned rude and she whined that she can't control what the machine tells her. I explained that it didn't make sense that she's charging me for more than one ounce when the total I owe is for 0.1 ounce. She rudely glared at me and said sternly, "There's nothing I can do." I took the yogurt off the scale, placed it on the counter, left the yogurt for her to throw away, and I told her to have a nice day. I left without yogurt and I was happy to take my business elsewhere. Was losing a customer FOR LIFE worth it? Apparently, the rude person working thought it was. read more

Update: I had called the Gardnerville store and spoke with the assistant manager, who was wonderful! She apologized for my experience and stated she would advise the Manger or owner. The owner did reach out to me and and stated how sorry he was and that never should have happened. He made amends with a gift card and said he would speak to the staff, which he apparently did. Charging my rating from one star to four. I drove from the south end of town and arrived at 8:50pm, ten minutes before closing. There were other cars in the parking lot and as I got out then people next to me said they they locked the doors. They were there before 8:45pm and they were locking the doors. I knocked and asked the girl to come to the door. She told me they closed the register. I advised this is not ok as there was 10 minutes before they are supposed to close and who was going to pay for my gas, she just shrugged, she could care less. I asked who the manager or owner was and she said "Jeff" so I asked her to get me a number so I could call tomorrow and she told me to hold on. She then re-locked the door, walked into the back, came back out talking on her phone and proceeded to ignore me. The other couple waited with me to also get the number. I knocked again and she just looked at me and smirked. This is a horrible way to run a business. With gas over $4.50 a gallon, this is not acceptable. read more

The times I have been in this yogurt beach, it hasn't been good. It is a hit or miss. The most recent time I went to this yogurt beach, I was getting yogurt for my daughter and her friends. The topping bars were a complete mess. Toppings mixing with each other and toppings all over the floor. My daughters friend went to use the restroom and there was bugs in there! I went in to look for myself and the bathroom was a mess, the toilet paper holder was even broken. I don't mind paying 17$ for 2 yogurts, I would just appreciate more cleanliness. read more
