Starbucks is such a well known coffee shop, it hardly needs reviews on the quality of its coffee. However, the quality of the Partners is something I truly believe needs to happen more! This Starbucks in Dayton is amazing for so many reasons, but there is one employee who shines above and ALWAYS takes such good care of his customers. Antonio! I love being able to order, and a few minutes later, my custom drink is sitting on their counter. I've been working in the area for a little while now, and with my days being a little longer, I've been skipping out on home keurig brews and have been straight to work after dropping off my kids. Their app is very user-friendly , and I will use it and order with Starbucks over other competetors for their convenience factor. Super clean restrooms and dining area. Always a plus for me! One thing about chains is that they usually all look the same. I love that I can pre-order a breakfast sandwich with my morning lattes or pick up a protein box and eat on the go. No greeting when you come in. Wait 15 minutes for a coffee when there's only two people inside. Thank you very much Wait 20 minutes for a breakfast sandwich because they forgot to make it. And then you get one excuse after another for the mishap. It seems like the workers there are devolving instead of evolving as humans used to do in the little poster in grade school.. Christmas. Waited 40 minutes through thrive-thru. There was quite a few cars in front of me because the inside was closed, okay reasonable, but you can't spare ONE worker, to go outside and let us know that if we get to the window AT 2 or AFTER 2 , you cannot order????? We were headed westbound on the 50 through the little town of Dayton, and "someone" in my vehicle says they really really need to use the restroom (me eye roll and sigh) ... so I spot a Starbucks right off the highway and whip it into their parking lot. There's other fast food places that have restrooms, but Starbucks are usually more pleasant, if you know what I mean. So, we all go in anyways. Some use the restroom others skip it. I get a coffee, cause why not? We debate if we should stop for food, but all we see is fast food and one of my guys says he knows a place on Reno as we'll be heading that way that way better. This is the only location that charges me .75 more to switch out a tea bag. I make the switch because a heart conditions prevents me from having caffeine. I've gone from being a $10 a day customer to avoiding this location altogether. They are often slow as well. read more

I had a good experience at this location in Dayton. My wife and spent the prior couple hours exploring the Christmas lights in Virginia City and wanted a little pick-me-up for the drive home, so we stopped here. We were greeted immediately by the barista as soon as we walked in. She took our order and got to work whipping up our drinks. She was very friendly and conversational. Our drinks were also spot on and tasted how they should. We would definitely stop by here again in the future. read more

First of all, I think it's terrible that most Starbucks do not have decaf coffee on hand. Most offer a pour over and some will suggest a decaf Americano. I suggest if they offer the decaf Americano, to offer it as the same price as regular coffee. It is not the customer's fault that you offer decaf. Secondly at this location, we waited approx 10 minutes for 2 lukewarm pour over decaf coffees. A bit disappointing! Probably won't be back here. read more

Employees are nice, but can never get the order right! Simple DEmocha , almond milk no whip and it's fully caffeinated every time!l I ask for that specific one due to a health condition and this allows me to enjoy what I sometimes like to treat myself to. I tell them every time emphasis on decaf, and even after they explain that the decaf has a little caffeine in it, I'm ok with it, the last three times have been full caffeine and trust me I can feel it. They do not do what other Starbucks do and display what you ordered on the side of the cup, apparently they don't understand what's being asked for, it's not like I don't tip good. It is Dayton, so I am grateful to have a place to go with free wifi. This is Starbucks and there really are no surprises here. The baristas are a bit more casual (shall we say small town friendly?) than city Starbucks and somewhat uncertain on the process - it was a bit of a group effort. I have been here a few times and I have always been satisfied with my purchase so no complaints. I also try to time my visit when it is not crowded. The last time I went I got the Cinnamon Chia latte on ice. Wow. It was really good. I also got the Thai-Style Peanut Chicken Wrap. It comes in a little bistro box with is great for a to-go lunch. The spicy, fresh wrap comes with a very piquant peanut dipping sauce and a small bunch of grapes. Very tasty. And even though the portion was small, I found it very satisfying. It is a bit pricy - $10 in all for the drink and sandwich - but not outrageous for the quality of the ingredients. It is a nice alternative to the usual fast food. read more

I have been a patron here for YEARS on end. When Starbucks separated out their frappachino recipe I no longer liked the drink, but Megan helped me for hours until we got my drink JUST right until I liked it again. Now over the years I've tweaked it here and there and about two years ago I fell in love with the salted Carmel mocha frappachino. Then guess what? They DISCONTINUED it! I almost died. I mean not that I REALLY need the calories but umm ya it's yummy! So they still have toffee nut syrup so I can get close but the roasted salt on the top was bomb and it's GONE! Now......if I could just get the staff to be consistent at the Dayton Starbucks so my drink wouldn't suck 50-60% of the time lol, we'd be good. But to be fair when I tell almost ANY Other Starbucks the recipe I might as well grind up my money in that blender and flush it because it doesn't matter if I explain it they are just NOT going to get it right. Very clean, friendly staff quick service. Alway happy with my coffee. I prefer the chai tea which is my favorite, and the breakfast sandwiches. I have never had a bad experience at this restaurant and during Covid they have been great for us at risk and have worn their masks to help keep us protected. Ordered a drink through the app (the same drink I ordered the day before, which they got correct) they gave me a hot version of the drink when I ordered a Frappuccino version. Then they came out with an iced coffee version which was still wrong and belittled me and told me that's how they make the drink I ordered. They said that I need to order the drink correctly on the online order next time. I did order the same drink as I did the day before and they made it perfectly. I don't normally review places like this because chains are usually just the same thing in a different location. That being said, this Starbucks is one of the best ones I have ever been to. I couldn't even count how many I have been to. When it comes to places like these customer service is top priority, and I feel that the staff here really has it down. When I come to Starbucks it is usually me alone with my three little ones, and even in the drive thru they always make it a point to notice the kids. Which as a stressed out mom of three, that really makes me feel good. I've never had any side eye or complaints when I ask for cups of water, and I've never had to complain about my drink. I've gotten pretty mediocre service from here previously but today really took the cake. I had to repeat my drink to the guy at least 4 times, had a pretty substantial wait and then my latte was served to me COLD. Over 4 dollars for a latte that feels like it had been left out for an hour. I don't know how they even made it that way! Dayton needs a better coffee place. This Starbucks is awful. I am a huge fan of chai tea lattes and every time I go in to get one I pay 5 dollars for watered down milk with cinnamon. It's horrid.
