Great shop! They had a nice selection of flavors, including Peppermint Stick and a non-dairy Pomegranate Raspberry sorbet that was delicious. They have all the usual toppings - plenty of candy, cereal, nuts, fresh fruit, and mochi. They also had a selection of desserts like brownies, which is pretty unique to yogurt shops. We liked how clean the store was, and the friendly service. And they trust you with getting your own samples - so many self-serve shops treat the sample cups like they are controlled substances. We usually go to Yogurtland for our froyo fix but after a recommendation from my parents, we decided to try this place out and I am so glad that we did! There are so many options from the different froyo flavors to toppings. They have everything from different types of granola, to sprinkles to fruits, to hot fudge (my favorite!) You name it, they have it. Everything is incredibly clean and there are tables with small TVs at them which is great for keeping the little ones entertained! And the best part is that it is very reasonably priced. Our order was cheaper than it is at yogurtland, and that's saying a lot because we load our bowls to the top. Can't wait to go back! read more

Their was a hair in my yogurt and their was really bad customer service. Also their WiFi hasn't been working for over a month so they only accept cash and the dollar bill has to be under $20 dollars. They only have like 3 options of yogurt. read more

Very nice frozen yogurt place in heart of La Quinta, Lots of toppings for your yogurt. Basically you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner all for 43cent /oz. Good selection of fresh fruit, lots of cereals , sauces and etc. My favorite was walnuts. I would gave them 5 stars if I could find coffee or cappuccino flavored yogurt. read more

Well if I would have reviewed this place a year ago, I would have given it 4 stars! I hadn't been here in a long while, as I am not a frequent visitor at another yogurt place. I was really disappointed in the quality of the yogurt. It was very runny, and in fact the kiwi flavor was down right liquid! The place was HOT. If you've hit up the other chain "top it yourself" yougurt shops this won't be that big of a deal, but if you're used to golden spoon or other plain shops this will be different. Their flavors were solid- good chocolate and peanut butter. The pineapple is okay, a bit tart and not as fruity as other yogurt shops. They have all the standard toppings from crushed oreos to sprinkles, and a good selection of fresh fruit, though they could do a bit better on the sauces. They also had whole cookies, brownies, and waffles (like thick breakfast waffles in addition to the thinner waffle bowl cones) I went here once and it was out of chocolate- seriously? Out of chocolate? For shame. Staff is sometimes friendly, decor a kitschy Hawaiian/ island vibe, and the place is always PACKED! Ask for a card for later discounts. read more

I can't imagine there could be a better frozen yogurt shop than Yogurt Island. My family first stumbled across it when we visited here the summer of 2012. We've now moved to the valley and this is ALWAYS our go to location for yogurt. We tried other places in the valley but none even begin to compare. The variety of yogurt is always awesome, the topics are outstanding with a tremendous variety...AND...the CUSTOMER SERVICE is BEYOND COMPARISON! They are warm, friendly, and if there's EVER even a minor issue...they generously extend their apologies with something complementary. One time the line was long...not their fault...just a busy time. But when I got to the counter they manager noticed that my yogurt had begun to melt slightly so after I had paid she came to my table...apologized, gave me a $5 gift card and a "buy one, get one" card. He charged us 25.50 for 2 20 oz. yogurts. He( didn't weigh them, had the total before hand. Some machines were broken and they have health standard violations. I would not recommend and not come here again. read more

This is a small self-serve frozen yogurt spot. I go here for their no sugar added and fat free frozen yogurt. They have it in chocolate or vanilla or swirl. When you go in you get a foam cup or go over to this little cabinet there and you can get a waffle lined foam cup (these smell very good!) They have other flavors that I didn't even look at as I am only after the "can't believe it's no sugar added" flavors. Several variety of nuts and dry toppings, chopped up fresh fruit, and syrups and warm fudge to choose from. There are only a few tables and a couple of TVs. I like to get one side of my cup with vanilla and the other side with chocolate then top it with cordial cherries, bannanas, blueberries, and strawberries. So yummo! This place is located on Washington & Hwy 111 behind the Beer Hunter. Now is the time to go and get a cool treat this summer. Everyone is very casual with flip flops and shorts. Note: They charge by weight. My portion runs about $5. It's a big cup just remember you don't have to fill it up. Don't forget to leave room for the fruit! tip: When you walk in you might go over by the register where there is a newspaper/newsletter that usually has a coupon or they have info on specials. They do have a little card that you can get and get it punched each time. They don't always mention it so take the initiative. read more

Ok gang, so here's the inside SCOOP (no pun intended) on this place.... This place was SPECIAL!!!! It was GREAT!! At first I was a little apprehensive about getting their yogurt. The reason for this was because there was a woman who had the biggest legs I have ever seen and you know what they say "you are what you eat." Being the researcher and food connoisseur that I am however, I looked up the nutritional content of Yogurt Island to find out and make sure I wasn't eating pure crap, and to my pleasant surprise the yogurt that they had overall was rather healthy and light. Relieved by this, I grabbed a sample cup. The workers were very nice as they watched me pull the yogurt levers like a addicted gambler on a slot machine. The workers did not care, since my sample servings were of a reasonable size. (Kids don't try this at home). Lots of flavors were available which was nice and the toppings were plentiful!! The store was very organized, and I found everything quite easily. The music in this store was also great. From hip hop to oldies, I enjoyed my yogurt like a happy go lucky individual without a worry in the world. I especially liked the layout of the store. There are TVs everywhere and the store has a nice wooden floor which reminded me of a cozy cabin in the woods. All in all this place is highly recommended by yours truly. My family came in from Oregon and wanted to frozen yogurt. I've been to Yogurt Island before and it was good, so we looked up the hours to make sure they were open and sure enough they were with time to spare. We loaded up with great expectations. What we found was nothing like my experience before. Half the yogurt machines were empty and an employee was emptying another 2 so we had the option of 4 flavors. Most of the fresh fruit toppings were already put up and all of the hot toppings were gone. We had to pick from the dry toppings. This was an hour before the listed closing time. We had 5 in our party and at least 10 people came in after us. All that came in grumbled. I would say if you want a great experience don't go in the evening. read more

I used to love this place. I went there at least 3 times a week. It has gone downhill in the past 8 months. Dirty counters, dirty signs, dirty walls, dirty tables, dirty floors, dirty machine fronts, dirty bathrooms. It makes me wonder if they clean the yogurt machines any longer. The staff is not personable nor friendly. The yogurt quality was consistent but now I can't count on it. I am so sad to be writing such a negative review but i asked for the owner's phone number so I could talk to him personally but the staff refused me. I hope they make a turn around. One of the best yogurt shops in town. The flavors are tasty. Cookies n Cream is my favorite one. Tons of topping choices and fresh fruit. Prices are good. My only complaint is the place is a little small and it gets very crowded at times. You feel like you're running into people from every direction because of the set up and the cramped quarters. This place is pretty unique. They have like 16 different flavors at any given time, and allow the customers to create their own dessert. The whole thing is assembled by you and you pay by the weight of the finished product. It kinda reminded me of those do it yourself pizza places that were popular in the mid-nineties.
