SHORT ANSWER: Even if you're a local or just visiting, this is a great property to visit for a coffee at The Marketplace or at one of the restaurants. LOCATION: Incredible, you need to be here to see how special it is. Lots of parking. FACILITY: More historic but it is modern is all aspects. Great resort history if you have time to You Tube it. MENU: At The Marketplace, there is a full menu to small items, coffee, pastries, and groceries available. FOOD PREP: Nothing special but well above average for snacks. FOOD QUALITY: Just okay, espresso was not great and I did not expect it to be, I would recommend just drip coffee. Pasties were very good. WAITSTAFF: People here were very nice, welcoming, and seemed happy to see us, yes it was off season but made us feel very welcome even though was just live a couple of miles away. OVERALL VALUE: Not really sure, but not overly expensive. We shared a latte and a croissant and did not need to mortgage our home. TIP: You can visit and enjoy the grounds, the shops, sit outside and take in the mountain views, and just chill out. We stopped at La Quinta resort for some fresh air, decor, and food. This is a nice pit stop for a quick meal vs eating at the onsite restaurants. There is an option to preorder your meal or order on the kiosk located inside. The amount of customers comes and goes. Most people grab coffee to go here. We came late afternoon and my daughter wanted a snack. We walked in and pursued the various bites. Limited food items but you can order fresh sandwiches and flatbread pizza. There is a cute little gelato area for $6 a scoop. As we walked around the refrigerated items, we came across some cold cuts and my daughter opted for a charcuterie sampler for $22. It was a nice sided portion vs the prepackaged items. There was salami, prosciutto, dried fruit, nuts, and a jam. We shared the sampler and it was enough to tie the 5 of us over for a couple hours for dinner. You cannot miss the marketplace. The coffee is just not great here anywhere at the hotel. It's very weak. Regular coffee and lattes weak. They advertise Lavazza coffee. We tried coffee at Twenty 6 and it was weak. Bought coffee at The Marketplace today and it was just as bad. Line quite long on a Saturday morning for coffee, of course. If you order from the computer screen by the door your order will come faster. First day here I bought their chicken salad in a container and it was delicious. Two days in a row now I've tried coffee from this place and it's been horrible. No amount of knowing how to make a coffee will turn crappy coffee into a good latte... and to add to that, I paid $11 for the coffee that I wanted. Convenient for grab and go. My daughter and I were checking into the La Quinta Resort at around 3:00 pm and wanted an in between (lunch and dinner) snack. We stumbled upon this marketplace located on the property near the front desk. It was a decently size and had prepackaged items (salads, sandwiches, wraps, fruit cups, veggies, chips and other snack items), bottled drinks and order at the counter food and drinks. Being vegetarian, we split a veggie wrap with chips. The wrap was reasonably priced (for the resort), decently sized, tasty and filling. I recently had the pleasure of trying their coffee, and I must say, their Spanish latte and house coffee were great. For anyone looking to bypass the hassle of waiting, I highly recommend ordering online as they can be very BUSY in the morning hours. We ordered online from our room, and within just 10 minutes, our drinks were ready for pickup. This efficient service added to the overall enjoyment of our coffee experience. Cute little market but kind of sad in the food portion. They've been closed for months due to covid and finally opened back up just a couple of days ago when the hotel opened too. There's not much places that was open for food and room service was taking on average an hour to an hour and half. We happened to be at the pool and someone where they got their pizza from. Well, first off. It's a little market concessions stand feel. They did have a good variety of drinks and snacks. Overpriced alcohol of course. Menu for food was basic. Not a lot to choose from. But when there's nothing open, you make due. Went with the pizza, believe there's was only 3 option available. And a chicken panini. It didn't take long for the food. Well, the pizza and panini looked really sad to say. Pizza looked basically like the box kind from the market. The panini was basic. Not grilled or pressed. Only thing they did was toast the bread slightly. Kind of sad when your hungry and the only place with food really was a downfall. We are staying at the resort for a week and The Marketplace has been our go to for breakfast and quick lunches by the pool. It has a good assortment of prepackaged and made to order food, including healthier/lighter options like salads and yogurt parfaits that are perfect in the heat. You can order ahead using the resort's app and they will have everything packed up when you arrive. Coffee is excellent and I really like the chia pudding. Downside is that the hours are super hard to keep track of. They are open later on weekends but I believe they close at 5:45 pm during the week when the resort is less crowded. Last night we were really craving ice cream after dinner but that wasn't option since the store had already closed. I wish they had hours posted at the entrance and perhaps on the website. Prices are a bit high (for example, a bottled herbal tonic that I'm really loving apparently costs about $5 elsewhere, $7 in The Marketplace). But for the convenience and relative quality it's very much worth it. read more

If you get a breakfast sandwiches prepare to wait 25 mins or longer. Place is horribly slow as there was only one person in front of me in line Normal sandwich fare so not sure why it took such a long time but this is one of the few options at the La Quinta so you are stuck. Got breakfast here 3 times. Prices and quality were actually quite reasonable for a resort! You MUST order ahead online. Sure, you can order in person like we did the first day, but you'll be waiting for 40 minutes along with dozens of other annoyed, angry guests. Another issue is that the website used to order is apparently a secret. We searched online in vain for it before calling the front desk. You can also scan the QR code at The Marketplace itself, but that kind of defeats the purpose of ordering ahead. The second and third times we ordered online and our orders were ready within the (lengthy) window given. It should be noted that I witnessed multiple people complaining that their orders were wrong or even lost. We didn't get cream cheese for a bagel on the first day, but other than that our orders were correct. read more
