After having been a Menchie's loyalist forever, I have to say this place beats Menchie's hands down! Wow, taro cake flavor? Thai tea? Matcha gelato? Oh heck yeah! And the toppings ... grass jelly, varieties of boba, varieties of mochi, along with all the usual goodies at any froyo place. Wow wow wow. The flavors change DAILY too! The owner is also a super nice guy who opened up Yogurt World almost 20 years ago bc there was a lack of Asian flavors in regular froyo places. He remembers my daughter every time she visits and always asks her how her research is going lol I think most people aren't going to be trying Yogurt World unless they happen to be on the UCSD campus but dang, this place is impressive. I wish it was a chain and we had these in LA...Oh and try the strawberry custard - omg so smooth and creamy, I could eat a gallon of that! read more

I'm not the biggest frozen yogurt fan, but I do have two spots I actually like and this is one of them! I wish I could come here more often, but it's rare if I'm on campus. If I am it's usually for Believers Club events or visiting a friend. Thankfully, I've been here more than a few times lol. My two favorite flavors are cake batter gelato and sweet cream gelato. There are sooo many toppings to choose from! I add peanuts, almonds, coconut, gummi bears, two gummy worms, and my FAVEEE the mochi. I pack it to the top with that one! Toppings all taste fresh and the spot is clean. It can get a little crowded inside since the space is small, but I go right before closing and the line is never busy. 10/10 read more

This is a great place for a sweet treat on campus! Some of my favorite flavors are the Dole Pineapple, Salted Caramel Pretzel, and Thai Tea. A fun froyo spot on UCSD campus! It honestly has more diversity of flavors and also toppings than some of the local froyo spots nearby, so definitely worth walking onto campus for this spot. It gets pretty crowded on nice days so definitely plan for a wait. They post their schedule of flavors for the week, and they have a good mix of dairy free, no sugar added, etc. flavors. I really loved the pomegranate cranberry flavor that I got. They keep their toppings station nice and clean too. You can ask for 2 sample cups per person. I love Yogurt World. They have different flavors every week and the yogurt has just the right amount of sweetness. There are many toppings to choose from as well, and it is self serve. They charge you on how much your yogurt weighs. At yogurt world they have an honor system where if you try samples you should buy something. So if you are wanting to try a flavor you should buy something as well even if you may not like the samples. There are like two tables inside so not much seating at all. Additionally, it is kind of small so not many people can go in at the same time. There is a lot of outdoor seating though and a lot of people just grab and eat on the go. The flavors change almost everyday so it's nice to have different options and there's so many toppings offered. Okay yogurt but terrible management. I was a regular at this spot and used to enjoy the yogurt, however that has changed. Due to the constantly changing flavors, I wanted to get a sample to try something new, so I politely asked the man at the front for a sample, and he gave me 2 sample cups. I didn't like what I tried and did not like the flavor line up that day, so I decided to leave. Before I could this old guy, who I assume is the owner, stops me at the door and verbally accosts me for about 80 cents worth of yogurt. This experience made me very uncomfortable. I will never be spending my money here again as that was a very unplesent experience. As someone who use to work at Yogurtland, that was an outlandish way to treat a customer. I went here after going to the UCSD bookstore for their book crawl and was not disappointed. Seeing as it was a weekend, it wasn't crowded at all. I loved the variety of flavors they had and the colorful yogurt cups you can choose from. They had a lot of different toppings to choose from and they had mochi, fresh strawberries and peanut butter cups, which are my favorite. The place was really clean and the gentleman ringing me up, who I believe is the owner, couldn't have been nicer. The yogurt was really good too. I'm so glad I found a solid froyo place with Asian toppings and flavors! This Yogurt World is on UCSD's campus near Price center. It's self serve and you pay by the ounce (65 cents/oz). The shop is small but clean, no gross drips near the froyo dispensers or spills near the toppings. They have super cute cups and spoons!! There are a wide variety of colors and patterns for all your IG and other aesthetic needs. I really like that they offer little sample cups, since they had many flavors I've never seen in froyo. Things like cake taro (might have been ube), milk tea. And Vietnamese coffee! I sampled a ton and ultimately decided to go with honey greek (my favorite froyo flavor PERIOD), cake taro, and milk tea. The flavors were all delicious and so so creamy!! No ice chunks or syrupy, artificial taste here. I will say that my friends tried the strawberry custard and thought it was kinda gross, but I did not have it and will not factor it into my review. Special shout out to the honey Greek, it's almost as tasty here as it is in my favorite froyo shop of all time (the bigg chill in LA). Now onto toppings. WOW. They had three sections of toppings and many more jars, tubs, and dispenser bottles next to each section. Think acai bar meets froyo shop meets boba shop. They had EVERYTHING: a variety of popping boba, 5 types of fruit jelly, Mochi, regular boba, flaxseed, granola, nuts, marshmallows, chocolate chips, nuts, cookie dough, I could go on (and on, and on..). I got some jelly, Mochi, and granola (for the honey Greek). I could come back every day and not exhaust my options here!! I dropped by Yogurt World on an absolutely freezing day and ate my froyo with shaking hands, but i enjoyed every spoonful. After all, colder weather means it stays frozen longer! i been walking past this place for the past like 2-3 years i've been at ucsd n i just tried it for the first time n it's pretty good man. i just got a lil bit of that hazelnut gelato and it was incredible. not too sweet either which i fw. a bunch of toppings to choose from also so i fw the variety man. i didn't get that much froyo but it came out to like 3 bucks n some change, which is ight. staff were very nice too when i checked out. overall p good read more

The owner is the sweetest! I would go pretty often during spring that he remembered me and some of my friends. He asks if you're a first timer so he can explain the process (I think because of COVID). All cups are the same size, but they have really cute designs. I believe they change the flavors every day or two, so that's exciting. And a wide variety of toppings! Service The customer service is really good (especially now). The owner is very sweet and rings you up with a smile. I've seen him chatting with college students, prospective students, and swarms of middle schoolers who come to tour. Price The price has gone up a few times, but is still very reasonable. I usually come out with more than enough for $3-4. Flavors There are a set number of fixed flavors available every day or rotating ones that are available 1-2x a week. The schedule is listed on the door! A go-to combo of mine is chocolate froyo with coffee grounds on top. I love the matcha, which is a fixed flavor, and jasmine milk tea, which is a rotating 1x a week flavor. Note: the jasmine milk tea is a little too green, but still tastes spot on. (Cookie butter was one of the rotating flavors last quarter, and it was so good.) Toppings Wide variety of toppings. Smth for everyone. There are Asian options (e.g. red bean, popping pearls, mochis, rainbow/grass jellies) in addition to traditional toppings. Cups/Spoons There are a few different spoon and cup offerings. My favorite is the cow pattern cups! There are color changing spoons and wooden spoons. Given the above plus convenience, it's definitely a 5-star froyo place for me. The only thing I'd wish to add are those fruit infused water things that some froyo shops have. I highly recommend Yogurt world. Come eat here when you tour campus!! read more
