A fun froyo spot on UCSD campus! It honestly has more diversity of flavors and also toppings than some of the local froyo spots nearby, so definitely worth walking onto campus for this spot. It gets pretty crowded on nice days so definitely plan for a wait. They post their schedule of flavors for the week, and they have a good mix of dairy free, no sugar added, etc. flavors. I really loved the pomegranate cranberry flavor that I got. They keep their toppings station nice and clean too. You can ask for 2 sample cups per person. Current price is 72 cents an ounce.

I love Yogurt World. They have different flavors every week and the yogurt has just the right amount of sweetness. There are many toppings to choose from as well, and it is self serve. They charge you on how much your yogurt weighs. At yogurt world they have an honor system where if you try samples you should buy something. So if you are wanting to try a flavor you should buy something as well even if you may not like the samples. There are like two tables inside so not much seating at all. Additionally, it is kind of small so not many people can go in at the same time. There is a lot of outdoor seating though and a lot of people just grab and eat on the go. Beware though because Yogurt World does a lot of promotions with clubs. And when there is a club discount it will be super busy.

This is definitely one of the best places to get dessert on campus with so many different flavors and many free samples! The flavors change almost everyday so it's nice to have different options and there's so many toppings offered. Although there's sometimes a really long line, the line goes by very quickly and there is inside/outside seating. Overall has a very nice vibe!

Flavors - about 14 total on Sunday

Absolutely amazing - the flavors are so unique and good. Vietnamese coffee, Thai tea, matcha, pomegranate, strawberry custard, etc. the man who runs the place is so sweet and cheerful, you can tell he loves the place! The vibes are so good and the establishment is really impeccably clean as well! 11/10!

Amazing frozen yogurt!! I can't believe I've only come here twice... I work near here and decided to come here yesterday on a Wednesday. I fell in love with their black sesame flavor and went back today, however the flavors rotate each day (which is great I love all the flavors). I didn't know there was a schedule and asked the owner and he let me know! He then told me he had some black sesame left from yesterday and gave me some extra Amazing service... I will continue to come here until I don't work here anymore!!

If Yogurt World has thousands of fans, I am one of them. If Yogurt World has one fan, I am that fan. If Yogurt World has no fans, then I am no longer in this world. Anyways, YW is probably one of my favorite places on campus. They rotate their flavors daily, so there's always something to try; chances are, you'll find something you like. They usually have flavors other places don't have; my personal favorites are saffron rose, passion orange guava, and Thai tea! And as always, the owner is very welcoming and friendly. If you are thinking about trying Yogurt World, this is your sign!!

Rainbow + polka dot cups!! Cute marine life cups as well :)

I'm so glad I found a solid froyo place with Asian toppings and flavors! This Yogurt World is on UCSD's campus near Price center. It's self serve and you pay by the ounce (65 cents/oz). The shop is small but clean, no gross drips near the froyo dispensers or spills near the toppings. They have super cute cups and spoons!! There are a wide variety of colors and patterns for all your IG and other aesthetic needs. I really like that they offer little sample cups, since they had many flavors I've never seen in froyo. Things like cake taro (might have been ube), milk tea. And Vietnamese coffee! I sampled a ton and ultimately decided to go with honey greek (my favorite froyo flavor PERIOD), cake taro, and milk tea. The flavors were all delicious and so so creamy!! No ice chunks or syrupy, artificial taste here. I will say that my friends tried the strawberry custard and thought it was kinda gross, but I did not have it and will not factor it into my review. Special shout out to the honey Greek, it's almost as tasty here as it is in my favorite froyo shop of all time (the bigg chill in LA). Now onto toppings. WOW. They had three sections of toppings and many more jars, tubs, and dispenser bottles next to each section. Think acai bar meets froyo shop meets boba shop. They had EVERYTHING: a variety of popping boba, 5 types of fruit jelly, Mochi, regular boba, flaxseed, granola, nuts, marshmallows, chocolate chips, nuts, cookie dough, I could go on (and on, and on..). I got some jelly, Mochi, and granola (for the honey Greek). I could come back every day and not exhaust my options here!! I dropped by Yogurt World on an absolutely freezing day and ate my froyo with shaking hands, but i enjoyed every spoonful. After all, colder weather means it stays frozen longer! I look forward to getting this again next time I'm in the area :)

An upscale gelato shop, Bacio Di Latte, is now the current tenant despite the fact that a popular ice cream shop was just around the bend in the same part of the plaza. The chain has become a rapidly expanding business with two locations in SD County and several more throughout the Southern California region. For a frozen dessert place, they did have quite a bit of seating with about a dozen small round tables scattered across the room. Nearly two dozen gelato flavors were on display next to the service counter. You could request taste samples as I did during my visit. Some cookies and other baked goods were also displayed in a case next to the register. Three gelato serving sizes were available along with three different kinds of vessels (cup, waffle cone, sugar cone). You could request split flavors within each serving size which was what I did. The Blueberry & Ricotta was a new flavor so I chose that and the Strawberry Cheesecake for my small (piccolo) cup. Both fruits were quite sweet as expected while the gelato base was smooth and creamy. The prices were a bit higher and the portions were smaller than what you can get from local ice cream shops. I guess at the end of the day, you're paying a premium for a premium product.

I liked how many varieties were available to mix and match, especially since this was my first time trying this brand. There are also plenty of gift sets, choco spreads and what appeared to be a fudge/brittles case in this section as well. The bacio di dama, panna cotta, and tiramisu flavors were my favorite. All were super creamy, and had distinct layers of rich flavor. In the case of the tiramisu, the espresso and marscapone notes really shone through, culminating in a very well composed chocolate treat. Hats off again to the good service - I was offered additional samples during my visit, and while I declined, this generosity truly added to the experience and is a favorable note that will linger in my memory of this first Venchi experience.

I've been to other Venchi locations before, so I knew what to expect -- and like all of them, it delivered. The space is glamorous inside: bright colors and what feels like a million displays of fake ice cream everywhere. But what really made the experience was the guy working the front -- an Italian gentleman with an accent who brought so much authenticity to the whole thing. He was nice, accommodating, super efficient (making cones in between taking orders), and genuinely friendly. Now onto the gelato. My husband usually gets the dark chocolate, which is always a winner. We've had the pistachio before too -- rich, slightly sweet, and earthy. This time I tried the white coffee, which was nutty, sweet, and herbaceous with virtually no bitterness. We also got the coffee crunch: sweet, buttery, with slightly bitter espresso or mocha notes, layered with a satisfying, brittle crunch. The coffee bits weren't overpowering and were small enough to chew easily. And of course, we love getting the waffles coated in chocolate and sprinkles. Highly recommend if you're at UTC and want a little taste of Italy.

The coffee jelly added a bit of different texture to the dessert and the coffee flavor wasn't too strong, which surprisingly I preferred for this. I couldn't help but finish the whole thing on my own, and super quick at that too! Another one I was really excited to try was the Jasmine Coconut, which comes in a smaller jar, but it turned out to be a little underwhelming for me. You can barely taste the jasmine tea jelly. Don't get me wrong, it was still good--I just hoped you could taste the jasmine more. The shop was charming with a few tables and chairs, but it was a little hot inside.
