I had a late night craving for some FroYo and found this place that was nearby and open pretty late (which is a plus). Parking is a little bit hard to find, since you're mostly looking for street parking. Upon entering, the FroYo place had a nice interior that reminded me of a modern casual design with some contemporary elements that created a playful atmosphere. There were some high chair seatings to the right, and some lounge chairs to the left Unfortunately, by the time I came in, they were not allowing us to sample any of the 6 flavors which was a bummer (New York cheesecake, cappuccino, cable car chocolate, vanilla, pomegranate raspberry or euro tart). The flavors are pretty limited, so if you're looking for a place with a wider assortment of flavors, I might recommend somewhere else. However, the toppings bar was nicely stocked with a bunch of different things to choose from, which was one of its saving graces. Once you're done, you weigh your FroYo at the counter. I would've given a solid 4 stars to this place; however, while we were eating the FroYo, the man who was working decided to go into the back of his shop and listen to his shows rather loudly. I could hear the sounds from the shows over the music they were playing, so it made the ambiance a little awkward since I wasn't able to vibe to the music. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I won't be returning. I've been a loyal customer for years and finally saved enough stamps on an old stamp card for a free yogurt. The card had no expiration date and I was never told they would stop honoring them. When I came in to use it, the owner said they don't use those cards anymore so it's invalid. Pretty disappointing. The whole point of a stamp card is to reward repeat customers, but apparently that doesn't matter here. Really poor customer service and not a great way to treat people who've been supporting your business for years. Also their last health code inspection had three severe violations, for anyone thinking about spending money here. read more

Went here on Friday with some friends from out of town. It was 101 out, so we went to get a frozen treat. There were others to choose from within the 20-foot radius, and we chose froyo. When we got inside, they had small selection of flavors no big deal but when we got to the toppings, it was very clear that they were not fresh. The cheesecake bites were melty, and the banana was turning brown. The strawberries and mangos were mushy and warm. This is not surprising considering we were in the store for 45 mins without seeing them be changed out once. I spent a total of $40 on two normal-sized portions of froyo and 2 water bottles; mind you, Pink Berry runs around $ 15-20 for 2 cups. We chose to eat inside because it was again 101 outside and no one was in the store at this point besides the only worker who was on his phone. We spent time talking, and other customers were sitting inside and outside the store. We were there for less than an hour when the owner came up to us very rudely and told us, "This is my business; you can not stay here, and I need you to leave," and started angrily cleaning the area we made sure not to leave a mess in. Others in the store saw us embarrassingly leave. We all found it incredibly rude, especially since we had all purchased overpriced froyo. When local establishment owners act this way while their quality is mediocre at best, it makes it difficult to support these small local establishments. As a worker/ leader of a locally owned establishment, I've had customers who are loud and leave messes, but due to professionalism and the understanding of how we are seen as a company, I know not to act this way. Overall, the experience was unsettling, and I will be telling my local friends to avoid this place in the future. Upon reading other reviews, it seems like this treatment is not an uncommon occurrence, and that a woman found a roach in her food, which is enough to confirm the toppings are not fresh. read more

Zee is the man, he keeps this business open past closing just for his customers. The yogurt is good and it's centrally located. He also has dog yogurt as you can see. Look at all the good stuff in this bowl. Even cookie dough and brownie bites. Yeah I can't keep this habit up I've gained enough weight since starting back on this site. By the way take the time to look around inside. Don't just come in and get samples. There's really cool artwork and nice thank you notes because this place is so well run. Came here for a nice treat that wasn't far from our hotel. We saw this place driving in, and it looked nice from the outside. When we came inside we were greeted by a nice young lady. They didn't have a lot of different flavors of yogurt to choose from, but the options they had were decent. I got the regular vanilla and chocolate. They are right on the corner of 19th and L Street. Great yogurt option in the neighborhood. I dropped in during a recent weekday midday. It was empty. But so very clean. I liked that. The fella working provided the bare minimal customer service. I asked him what are the ingredients for the non dairy yogurt. He pointed to the sign. But the sign only listed one ingredient that had a chemical sounding name. He said "you can sample" and pointed to empty tiny paper dipping cups on a silver tray near the register. I asked him what is the pricing. He replies "by the weight" and points to the scale near the register. Hmmm...this fella seemed to speaking as less words as possible. Even though he was a man of few words, he was pleasant. At this point, I knew I was not going to get a lot of answers. So I looked around at the toppings. The area was clean and organized. They have a pretty large variety. It looked great. I sampled the non dairy vanilla yogurt, it tasted good. Despite the chemical non diary ingredient and not knowing the pricing, I decided to go for it. I grab the only size cup they have. A bit of caution, the cups are huge suckers. Don't go loading them up because my creation which was about 1/4 full of yogurt and toppings came in at $3.80. Is this a go to destination yogurt shop? Probably not. Your total is priced per pound so watch out if you put too many items on your yogurt. I ended up getting the chocolate and vanilla swirl with candy toppings. She purposely did not let us samples the flavors unless we asked for cups, and there is a glaring sign that says "samples are for customers who purchase" or something like that. I was in the area when my gf and I decided to stop by to get some yogurt. I had been to this place a few years back and I liked it so I suggested to my gf who hasn't been that we should go. The place was empty and we were the only customers. We were not greeted or acknowledged but that wasnt the issue. The issue was after we had poured the yogurt into the cups and proceeded to the toppings the owner goes up to the flavor i had gotten and poured himself an entire cup of the raspberry pomegranate, i didnt think much of it. When we were checking out I tried to break the silence by asking how he was doing. He firmly said "im good" before going silent and hovering over the ipad where I was deciding if I should tip. I decided to tip $2 since the place was empty. As soon as The transaction went through he asks me "was there anything wrong with the machine or flavor you got?" I was caught off guard because there was not anything wrong so I replied "no". He was referring to the little bit of yogurt that I had spilled and proceeded to tell me that "its a waste and that if the machine is broken to let him know so he can fix it" i told him there wasnt anything wrong and that it was simply to check if the yogurt wasnt coming out watery as Ive had it happen in the past. He interrupted midway through my sentence to tell me that Im wrong and that theres nothing wrong with the machine and not to do that again because its a waste for the owners and that people will dislike me if I continue to do that. HE WAS THE ONE WHO POURED AN ENTIRE CUP OF THE RASPBERRY POMEGRANATE TO PROVE A POINT. If anything IT WAS HIM WHO wasted a bunch of yogurt trying to prove that there was nothing wrong with it. My cousin and I needed something sweet after our dinner at a nearby restaurant. All of the frozen yogurt flavors seemed to be nonfat which I kind of was disappointed because I normally like my frozen yogurt with fat. I ended up with the nonfat chocolate frozen yogurt. I suggested my friend and I visit this place today. Today, while checking out the man running the shop proceeded to question my method for pouring my peanut butter sauce. He cloaked it with, "is there something wrong with the sauce?" To which I responded with, no - just that the hot water runs down the side of the bottle and into my bowl if I pour it as soon as I pull it out. (Which is gross when you think about not knowing if that warming water is clean) To which he responded,"I'm asking because you spilled everywhere and I want to make sure everything was ok." I said I dropped 2 dime sized drops while testing to make sure the water wouldn't pour into my cup. But I cleaned it up with the [dirty] rag next to the heated water pot. I didn't spill it everywhere." To which he said "you did." And walked me over to where one drop I missed was still there." He told me this was costing him money and he wanted to know if it was broken, but was clearly trying to educate me on how to not make a mess. We started to go back and forth and my friend then said this was not going anywhere so we left. This felt like treatment that no one should receive, but the energy when we walked in was not inviting or welcoming. More like we are two black women who are there to cause an issue and "waste" less than 1/20 of an oz of product. Spilled product is a common expense, that is not the customers responsibility. And this was less than the amount of what is left after scrapping out sauce when refilling the bottle. I chose to bring my friend and I here. It is wild to chastise a customer for the cost of such a negligible spill. I came to purchase frozen yogurt not receive a lesson on the P&L of peanut butter for a small business. We won't be visiting this place again. We decided on our walk home that Gunther's or salt and straw would have treated us with more respect and appreciation. We have been coming to this place for four years - but no longer. If you arrive on a bicycle (or e-bike), be prepared to be accosted by the owner - who is clearly unstable. At first, I was thinking perhaps it was just us, but after reading through other reviews, it seems like it's the norm. My 7-year old and I arrived and I began to secure our e-bicycle to the iron fence surrounding the outside seating area. The owner (I know this because he told me he's owned the place for six years) told me to not lock my bike to his fence, and when I responded that we were going to be customers to the shop, he said he did not care, and to take the bicycle away. I decided to go elsewhere, but having been a customer for four years, I went inside to ask the owner why he was so aggressive and rude to my 7-year old and me. He told me that the bicycle scared others and to get out of his shop. The whole situation was so extremely bizarre. Considering so many businesses have suffered immensely from the pandemic and periodic shutdowns, it's really disheartening to come across a place with a proprietor who is confrontational and aggressive with the neighbors who actively support local businesses. read more
