I've always known about Everest Yogurt, but because of the location, I usually end up at Heavenly Yogurt in the Pocket. That all changed after I saw a post on the Nextdoor app from the owner, Rejina Rai. In her post, she mentioned they serve Gunther's ice cream -- and if you know me, you know I live for that 50/50 freeze with coconut ice cream and double pineapple. Once she confirmed they had it, I was in. I told her, "See you this weekend." And listen, I'm a man of my word (especially when ice cream is involved). I pulled up right when they opened, and there was Rejina -- incredibly sweet, welcoming, and clearly running the kind of shop that cares. She made my 50/50 freeze perfectly and even threw in a scoop of mint chip for the wife. We took it home and enjoyed it by the pool during a little swim. Zero regrets. The only downside? I love that I can go around the corner for some fro-yo AND a Gunther's freeze, without having to actually go to Gunther's and stand in line! It's also opened til 9:30pm, perfect hours for summertime after-dinner dessert. There's a small lot of shared parking with other businesses, but since most of those businesses were closed at the time we went, parking was not a problem. There was a homeless guy posted by the garbage bin, so just be aware of your surroundings. The older lady who was working was so sweet and friendly. She didn't offer us tasting cups, but I'm sure if we asked, she would have given us some. I ordered a small strawberry freeze with vanilla ice cream, got a small serving of vanilla soft serve and whipped cream for the pup, and whatever concoction my husband filled his cup with. Price for the fro-yo is by weight and the ice cream and freezes have set prices depending on size. We paid a total of $20, I'm guessing half of that was my husband's fro-yo cup! Customer Service is also 5 Stars. The lady who helped us is super nice, and her 4 year old helper is the cutest! Parking is super easy. The shop is located in a small shopping plaza with ample parking. The shop has indoor seating and is super clean. If you like toppings, this is the place for you. They have about 60 toppings, including the syrups and chocolate. The 8 year old also liked her yogurt, and was nice to share it with me:) my 8 year old gives it two thumbs up! This is our go-to for Gunther's Freeze whenever I'm visiting the in-laws. Friendly and local spot with lots of cold dessert options when the weather is ultra hot. They have fro-yo and ice cream as well. We ordered 7 large cups of orange, lemon, and raspberry for takeout. The cups were overflowing and the freezes were nicely frozen and tasty as usual. Sometimes our family tries to find the "best" of something in our area. We've hunted for the best burger, best EBC breakfast sandwich, and the best shave ice (hint: it doesn't exist on the mainland). Everest Yogurt is our favorite. The flavors don't seem watered down, nor do they have that chemically "fake" flavor that other places have. The consistency of the yogurt is great, much like the best soft serve, silky smooth but cold.
