Super disappointed in the yogurt places I go with no samples. I'm a fan of trying ones to know what I want. The kids in front of me were having to put it on the side so that way we could try to lick it out and taste it. Thankfully, the caramel apple was hanging down a little bit, so I was able to taste some of that which was so delicious but with it be the holiday season? I would've never known that I liked it otherwise. I wanted to try the peppermint mocha I was not able to and one other One of my favorite yogurt places remains the place that lets us get samples. I don't overdo it. I just like to taste one that I may not have tasted before to add to my yogurt. The other thing is, I don't like having somebody else put my hot fudge or anything else on my yogurt. I am very big on hygiene. I don't know this area. I'm here from out of town. I don't know if they've had troubles with the teens or anything like that but from the last few days of being here in the area seems nice enough that I don't understand why you can't have a sample or put on your own toppings, meaning the hot fudge caramel, etc. read more

Froyo cravings on 4th of July. My little brother was craving froyo with the popping strawberry boba and gummy sharks. Sad there wasn't any pineapple mango because that was so delicious and a big hit the last time I had went. The service is good considering there's only one person working. Props to the lady for running back and forth adding toppings and ringing up the froyo on the scale at the cashier. There were a good amount of people both indoor and outdoor, sitting on the tables enjoying their yogurt. The inside of the store is pretty clean and neat. Tidy. read more

My kids love this place. There are always fun new flavors. I am only docking one star because of cleaning routines. They kept the hand sanitizer up front. But on our last visit we sat and ate our yogurt and watched people walk right by it. With everyone using the handles it would be nice to see the employees wiping them down periodically. I'm hoping to not catch a cold while eating my probiotic yogurt lol read more

Two nights in a row this place just decided to close early because of weather. It's literally raining, and California. So obviously the weather isn't that bad. So annoying to drive here last night at 7:31 and they closed early at 7:30. So tonight I came at 6pm and they closed at 5:30pm. The reason why this isn't a 5 star is because the toppings bar is limited (or maybe it's because I'm spoiled since I'm from San Jose and I never had to wonder if x toppings will be offered or not). When I walked in, I was greeted right away by the girl at the counter despite the long line which is excellent. I love it when people pay attention to detail and are customer service-oriented. A very small store however, it was very clean and orderly. The cups were well stocked and the yogurt stations were all clean of spills. As always, I make my selections accordingly. Mine: - Dutch chocolate - cake batter - chocolate twilight - chocolate milkshake - chocolate syrup - Oreo crumbles - PB cups - brownie bites I forgot what my daughter got but it was definitely healthier, I can tell you that. As we were making our way through the toppings bar, my daughter said that they didn't have such and such and they don't have *whatever it was that she said* so more and more, I came to the realization that nothing beats San Jose and its surrounding area. My Yogurtland go-to location is the one in Milpitas which is roughly 4 minutes from the place where I was living at. Albeit a great treat after nearly 4 miles walked. read more

Loveeeeeeeeeee Yogurtland! It's 33 cents an ounce and yes they do minus the weight of the cup. My favorite flavors to sample are: Pistachio, Root beer, and Green Tea. If I get a cup, I usually always stick with Plain Tart topped with Strawberries, Kiwi, Bananas, and Mango.. sometimes I throw on some mochi too! Delicious! You also can't beat the strawberry infused water. So refreshing and great to quench my thirst after a sweet and satisfying snack/dessert. Yogurtland was delicious at first but now most of the flavors for offer are fat-free or sugarless. The one's that do have sugar taste super artificial, not in a delicious way like you might have experienced from the ice cream man's Ninja Turtle or Pink Panther popsicles. Brought my toddler who is 2 here for some frozen yogurt. Everything was good, until I had to use the restroom because 1. My son wanted to wash his sticky hands after eating the frozen yogurt and 2. Because I had to use the restroom and I am currently 8 months pregnant, so I have to go often. They refused to give me the code to use the restroom due to "vandalism" even though I had just bought some frozen yogurt. I am a pregnant female customer with a toddler and they refused to let me use the restroom and said to go next door to chipotle to use theirs. This really upset me, they should have made an exception considering my situation. read more

Oh my goodness, I have been here way too much last summer to collect their spoons, but with no regrets at all! This summer, not so much but it's a great place to come to for a cheap and simple dessert fix. The usual cycle for me: sample the other unique flavors such as red velvet or carrot cake, and if taste buds give the green light, I get a little bit but then overload on the plain tart and top it off with popping boba, cheesecake bites, mochi and fruits. They offer a wide variety of toppings as well such as gummy bears, coconut, some syrups, and lots of fruit. I never paid more than $5 for a cup of yogurt and each one leaves me pretty full. I usually need a few cups of water afterwards so my stomach doesn't feel all gross, so they offer self-serve strawberry-infused water on the side. Oh watch out for the ripeness of the mangoes and probably the other fruit too. It isn't always consistent so keep an eye on that. (if you're an avid fruit topper, you probably know already) Plenty of seating, some outdoors. Clean. Friendly staff. Self-serve. Cheap. Can't complain much about this place. read more

SUPER CHEAP YOGURT HERE!!!!! AND GOOD!!!!! The perfect place to come to eat yogurt after you eat a good meal at Chipotle or Asian Express and after yogurt you can go shopping! Very cute date spot ;) I was so happy when I heard a Yogurtland was in Capitola. Everything is self serve also! You get your own yogurt with the exact amount you desire with the exact amount of toppings you desire!!!!! They have sample cups up front so you can try all the flavors before you get them! They have about 8 flavors at a time and it's definitely hard to choose if you haven't tried them all yet :) Tart will always have my heart but the pistachio and the fruity tart flavors are always so good as well. Watch out for blueberry and mango because those are super amazing!! Parking is super easy also with a HUGE parking lot shared with a lot of their other restaurants around the area! read more

Closing time is a moment of truth for an establishment like YL, and tonight, they failed. The store's posted hours said they close at 8, and there was a handwritten note on the door saying that they were closing at 7 tonight. I was at the door at 6:58pm, just as the girl was closing the door. I asked her nicely if I could just run in and get a quick one...there was one customer there getting yogurt, the machines were obviously still working and I promised to be fast, right behind the existing customer. I got a soft ehhhh no, we close at 7. I pointed out that it wasn't 7 yet, and got "but it will be by the time you're at the register. A passerby heard us and said c'mon, let him in. I told her I had driven 15 minutes, and would be in and out so fast...she asked if I was getting toppings, and I said "no, I can skip toppings if I can just get the yogurt." She looked at her co clerk and said, no, I don't think so, and closed the door in my face. I was nice. There was no other customer coming in, it wouldn't have added more than a minute. I got sent away. I used to go to Yogurtland every month or so. No more. I left and went to Top A Lot, they were very nice and I got a great yogurt. To the manager....every employee should be trained about how to handle closing time. This one was really botched. read more

Last night I came in worth my family and at 8:01 the male employee came up to my table and told us that obviously they are closing insinuating it was time for us to leave. We finished up and as we were leaving I asked him if it was normal to tell customers to leave before they were finished eating. He proceded to get confrontational and started throwing some kind of hamd gestures up. If there is security footage you can see this. So I told him I would be in contact with his manager. On our way out my 8 year old daughter was saying bye to him and he shut the door on her face and threw up the same hand gesture. We have been frequenting yogurtland for years. It's become a tradition of ours. I've never experienced anything like this. I demand a face to face apology from him. read more

I understand we have hyperinflation but this yogurt is far more expensive than premium ice cream. You are prompted to tip when paying. An average cup of frozen yogurt was over $10 with no toppings. You can get two pints of Ben and Jerrys or Häagen-Dazs for that. I've always found it to be clean and cashiers friendly. read more

The yogurt is tasty, but I was told by the staff that it's not organic or even natural! I asked the staff what was in the yogurt, they told me I could find the ingredients on there website, so here they are from yogurt-land.com website: Vegetable Mono & Diglycerides, Guar Gum, Carrageenan, Blue 1, Red 40, Yellow 6, Caramel Coloring, Dextrose, Corn Syrup, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Microcrystalline Cellulose(refined wood pulp), Partially Hydrogenated Coconut Oil, Polydextrose, Aspartame, Acesulfame Potassium, Artificial Flavors...Yummy! These are not chemicals and food like substances that I want in my body, how about you? With so many other healthier options available for yogurt and/or ice cream that are organic and natural, like Penney Ice, Mission Hill Creamery, or Yogizmo, why would you eat this fake yogurt? This place is straight baller! They have all the normal flavors of froyo you expect like tart, vanilla and such. But their unique flavors are also just as good. I especially enjoy their red velvet cake batter flavor because it tastes just like a red velvet cake in yogurt. I especially enjoy the fact that for the summer it is all hello kitty themed. I just like keropi because hes green and that's my favorite color. You can get a big cup with all the toppings you desire for around $3. They have the biggest selection of toppings you can find in the area and the employees there are super nice. If you go there and a Felix is working there (tall Asian dude) give him a big tip because he makes it rain toppings! read more

Damn they got some good froyo! Been here a bunch of times now since I discovered the Pho place next door! They've got a variey of flavors which you can sample by grabbing a little cup by the cashier when you enter. My favorites are Strawberry, Chocolate Milkshake, and plain tart. A lot of toppings to fulfill your froyo needs as well! Also, they charge less per lbs than other froyo places! What would be a medium cup would usually cost me ~$8, but here it's about $3-4! For that price, you really can't beat this place. Also, when they ask you whether you want to eat here or to go, say to go because they charge you a sitting fee or something. Just cheaper to say to go then sit outside or sit down inside. Will probably be visiting this place today actually! read more

YO-FRO! I'm a fan of the tart/fruity fro-yo. I've tried their cheesecake, pretty bomb too. So much to choose from....I GET OVERWHELMED! Consistency of the fro-yo is really good. Creamy but not heavy. I love their fresh fruit. The strawberries and kiwis...divine with some blueberry tart. Ugh and mochi and cheesecake toppings. BOMB BOMB BOMB. If only this could exist in my own kitchen! read more

I first reviewed Yogurtland in August of 2011, giving them 5 stars - a completely great experience. I updated my review in October 2011 due to a couple of not-so-great experiences, one in particular. I had a good talk with someone from the store recently and got a sense that they have high standards and strive to serve great product at a good price in a clean environment. Because of that conversation, and because I believe they will continue to work to keep those inital high standards, I am updating this review. Just to recap ... So, first I must say that this review only gets 3 out of 5 stars not because of the Yogurtland product itself, but specifically for this particular franchise location... As always, the Yogurtland fr-yo did not disappoint in flavor and quality...however, this particular location seemed a bit run-down and lacking in both flavors of fr-yo and toppings. They did not have hand sanitizer like all the other shops I have been too, they ran out of small cups for the yogurt and their machines were quite messy (they don't seem to wipe them down very frequently), many of the toppings needed to be refilled/refreshed, and they didn't have any of the Ghiradelli chocolate sauces like all the other locations have. :-( All in all, this location needs a little more loving...but the fro-yo is still delish! read more

My mom and I went last Saturday evening. We were the only ones in there and there were two younger girls working. I felt like we were on a hidden camera show! The girls were beyond rude. We were not greeted, rushed to pick out our toppings. My mom went to put her card in the machine and one on the girls reached out her hand and sternly said "I'll take that." It was the most uncomfortable interaction I've ever had at a frozen yogurt establishment! I think the other girl working felt bad at the end when we were walking out and yelled "have a great night!" Good place for a cold refreshing treat. I love frozen yogurt and love the whole idea of it being self serve. They have a ton of toppings, but I wish the employees weren't so reluctant to take some time to cut up bananas. It can be a bit disappointing when my favorite flavors aren't there, but it's fun trying new stuff. My only complaints are other rude people in line who totally cut and don't have the curtesy to even say excuse me, and when people reuse their sample cups. I understand that's not their fault though. Whats not to like about being in control about how much yogurt and how many flavors you want in your cup, as well as endless amounts of toppings to choice through?!. I am huge frozen yogurt fan and being able to DYI my own yogurt makes me happy. Staff is friendly and price is fair and really up to you and how much you put in your cup. Not a lot of seating, so my husband and I usually take it to go. They staff tries to keep up with the cleaning, but they're are usually toppings everywhere and table and counter tops are sticky. read more

Before Yogurtland arrived in Santa Cruz County, I had enjoyed it many times over in San Jose & Sunnyvale. I was blown away and I could hardly wait for Capitola to get one. I actually screamed when I saw the Capitola location being built as well as Chipotle. No one knew how delicious Yogurtland was and swore they would never abandon Yogurt Delite. I guaranteed that within months of Yogurtland opening, Yogurt Delite would be gone. And I was right because the VALUE & TASTE of Yogurtland is so good! You can sample all the flavors before you purchase the amount of frozen YOU want. The price is based on weight so you can get a little yogurt and a ton of toppings or vice versa. I love Yogurtland; this location can be a hectic adventure with the line and the parking but worth it! read more
