I already had double eyelids but my eyes were hooded so my crease barely showed. I decided on getting the noninvasive eyelid procedure since i'm too scared to do actual eyelid surgery so it was a great option for me. Booking -- you can make an appointment online, it is very easy and convenient. I believe i DMed them on instagram and received a reply within the next few hours. Procedure -- the entire consultation (day of) and procedure was about 3 hours but actual procedure took about 15-20 minutes? I'm not sure but it felt quick and painless, just some pressure and a bit uncomfy but nothing you can't handle. I was awake but on laughing gas, the dr. applies local anesthetic (i believe) by a shot. That part probably stung/hurt the most. Post care -- my eyes were puffy and felt tight but nothing too uncomfortable. I didn't have any bruising and i was able to go to work the next day. They provided me with eyedrops and pain medication. I bought arnica pills for extra $ which is probably why i didn't bruise. Promo -- i booked during a promo and i also got model pricing since i allowed them to take photos and a video testimony. I would recommend this if possible. Results -- 100% satisfied! My eyelids have more space and it looks really natural. I can't remember what i looked like before honestly. I don't feel anything in my eye and when i close it, you can't see any sutures. I've gotten so many compliments when I tell people I got it done. I got the QCW with Dr. Suzuki about a month and a half ago. I found out about her from Tiktok in March of 2020 but was hesitated to make the trip to Irvine as I'm from NYC. After a few years of waiting and seeing other testimonial videos on both Instagram and Tiktok...I decided to do the BFF deal with my friend to get it done! I couldn't be happier in my decision to finally do it. I had a remote consultation with the doctor who was very accommodating and sweet. Her staff was just as easy to work with and schedule my surgery date. The recovery and pain was really nonexistent. They give you laughing gas/nitrous and apply 4 shots to each eye to numb it. The most painful part was the shots to the eye area. Besides that you just felt pulling and pressure. The whole eyelid procedure took 20-30 mins. They give you a mask, pills, & eye drops with the recovery! The pills and mask are an extra cost but def is worth paying. I feel much more confident and happy about my results! I spent over $4,000 at this clinic last year, and all I got was regret, uneven eyelids, and endless waiting. I went in for the QC triple procedure hoping to get a more defined eyelid crease since I naturally don't have one. I told Dr. Shonan I wanted a bigger crease -- but as a doctor, her job isn't to just blindly follow instructions. It's to advise and guide patients toward what will actually look good. She didn't do that. She just did what I said. I understand that it was my fault for thinking that bigger eyelids would look good on me, but as a doctor, she didn't say anything to stop me from doing it. Her employees said I look great after every procedure. I'll leave it to you guys to see if I look great. My left eyelid came out way bigger than my right. When I complained, she blamed it on ptosis -- instead of taking responsibility for her work. Didn't she know it before the procedure? She did. So we redid the right eyelid, and I STILL looked awful. Zero improvement, zero accountability. They didn't charge me for the redone. But it gets worse: every single time I had an appointment -- especially on procedure days -- I was forced to wait 30 to 60 minutes past my scheduled time. When I finally asked why, her staff admitted that "she has a busy schedule and can't be on time." Seriously? I'm spending thousands of dollars and I can't even be treated with basic respect or punctuality? Eventually, I paid another $500 out of my own pocket to have the stitches removed and went to a new surgeon for blepharoplasty. That doctor actually listened to me, gave honest advice about what would look good, and the results were night and day. Dr. Shonan should not be offering cosmetic procedures if she can't deliver results, can't manage time, and can't be honest with patients. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Save your face, your time, and your money. I paid for the QC TRIPLE option, which is significantly more expensive than QCW, because it's supposed to use three sutures for better, longer-lasting results. While they didn't explicitly promise permanent sutures, the fact that my eyelids were already drooping in just four months is unacceptable. On top of that, the shape of my eyes ended up looking drastically different from each other. PLEASE don't spend your time replying my review. It already happened. You can't fix. I had an overall good experience! I was able to do my virtual consultation which Dr. Yoko was able to give me a recommendation on which procedure would best fit! On day of my procedure, the assistant did a really good job at explaining the pre and post procedure! I did the QCW3 which is three stitches and more long lasting. The actual procedure was honestly not as painful as I thought it would be. I was given some laughing gas which helped a lot. I believe I was done in maybe less than 30 minutes. It will feel weird because your eyes will be half way open and you will feel the tugging of the thread! However, I had swelling the day of the procedure and the rest of the week I had zero pain, no bruising and the teeny tiniest bit of swelling (not even on second day which would be the most swelling). My healing process was VERY smooth. I loved my results and it was most natural to my face. I would had given it five stars, however communication can be seen as last minute changes which is not mindful of the client. I had my day of procedure scheduled which I had made driving accommodations to have my friend to drive me since it is not recommended to drive after. They asked to change it to a different time which did not work for either of us. They were able to honor the initial time scheduled. My post one month follow up for being a model was set on a date and time. I was again, last minute told less than a week that it needed to be changed because the office was closed (for whatever reason). I had made staying accommodations already since I do not live in the LA area. That was quite annoying as I had to reschedule for another day and time. i waited a few years to write this review as i just ended up forgetting. i got the qcw procedure done and honestly i regret it. my eyelids were a little uneven before(one eye would sometimes go monolidded) and i wanted to fix it with this procedure but ended up making it a whole lot worse. the concern about the uneven eyelids were brought up at the one month check-in but i ended up being gaslit with various excuses saying it's just swelling or that my eye shape is uneven to begin with so symmetrical eyelids were not possible(this had not been brought up during consultation. had it been, i would have opted for traditional blepharoplasty as my goal was even eyelids). overall, it's not too terrible of a result since i didn't want a large crease, but it's still a noticeable difference that i will eventually still have to spend money correcting via other means. i had stated my goal in the initial consultation and were that not possible, i should have been informed of such. book at your own risk. read more

I saw the ads on Facebook and was intrigued by Dr. Suzuki. I always wanted double eye lid surgery but was always afraid of scarring and how long the recovery process took. But my eyes were looking tired, droopy, and the tape method I had been using since middle school just wasn't cutting it anymore! I decided to book a consultation just to see what it was about. I did the QCW and like many, was nervous before the procedure but the office staff and Dr. Yoko took their time answering my questions and making me feel comfortable. I opted to do the procedure the same day as my consultation so my friend drove me and picked me up, took a little over an hour for everything. The actual procedure itself was fast, about 20 min after consultation with the doctor as she shows you different options for your eyes. Through her expertise, I decided on taper method. In the OR, she injects numbing medication on your eyelid and that's probable the most painful part. Initially afterwards my left eyelid felt very scratchy and doctor flipped my eyelid back over to ensure there was nothing sticking out. I would say the first day was the most uncomfortable with blinking, I had mild bruising and moderate swelling for a week and then mild swelling for two weeks and after that, everything looked normal. I've been complimented by how natural it looks and my mom and aunt are now both interested in the same procedure. Found out about this place through IG and my friends actually convinced me to get the QCW procedure done! We booked the same day procedure appointment and we were in and out of the operation room within 20-40 minutes. They do require you to have a driver or Uber driver back because your eyes will be swollen and sensitive to the light. You will also be awake during the procedure, but you will be given NOS/laughing gas to subside your anxiety and local anesthesia to your eyelids. I didn't really have a good time with the laughing gas due to my sensitivity, but my friend wanted more. So it really varies on the individual. Recovery: You are given an antibiotic eye-drop to use for a week, three times a day. Super easy recovery time. Keep in mind there will be bruising, but you are able to wear makeup right after! Three days for contact wearers! It took about two weeks for my bruising to go away and it takes about 1-3 months to see fully heal (I think) I've already recommended this place to two of my friends who are also very satisfied with their results!! I also inquired about the removal process and was told it would be best to remove within 4 months if you want to go back to your eyes before. However, the removal warranty is 1 year Adjustment warranty is up to 3 years if you notice any asymmetry. Dr Yoko would need to re-examine before the adjustment! She took the time to make me feel comfortable and let me take time to decide on the look that I wanted. 3 weeks later, my eyes are pretty healed and the result looks natural and how I wanted. Review of staff: The office staff was super nice when I came for my consultation a month prior. When I returned for my procedure, I felt so uncomfortable. I am an OR nurse (which they didn't know) and I had a bad overall experience with the staff and was very disappointed. The nurse or scrub tech (she didn't even tell me what she was) assisting Dr. Suzuki, Sethi, made me feel so uncomfortable and she did not talk me through anything. She didn't tell me her name until AFTER the procedure when I asked her what her name was. I was anxious since this was my first procedure ever. I couldn't wait to get out of there after because she was so unempathetic. As an OR nurse you need to let your patient know everything you're doing because surgery is a scary thing and make them feel as comfortable as possible. I didn't feel that way at all. After the procedure, she told me I could not leave without her escorting me out. Then when it came time to leave she was NOWHERE to be found so I had to wait for her in the waiting area for 15 minutes. Then, when I finally found her, all she did was open the door for me, say goodbye, and that's it. So basically I waited for her for no reason. After a procedure (even after receiving moderate sedation), staff is supposed to escort you out of the door, down to the lobby and to the car to ensure patient safety. I'm giving this place 4 stars because of Dr. Suzuki's amazing skills but beware of the care that you will receive here, it's not that good if you have Sethi as your nurse. I have an uneven eyelid and one eye is more droopy/monolid which actually causes peripheral vision issues. I went to Shonan Beauty Clinic and had the QCW instant double eye lid surgery. Dr. Yoko Suzuki is a wonderful doctor. She is patient, very professional, experienced, and really listened to me. The staff is also very nice, professional, and was very responsive to all my questions. This is my first time getting any cosmetic procedure done and I was very nervous. The procedure was not painful but it was uncomfortable. After the procedure I had a lot of swelling, but little bruising (took the meds they recommended for bruising) and it looked like I cried. My eyelids were so swollen even after icing everyday and I was worried that my eyelids were too big. The staff and Dr. Suzuki reassured me constantly that the swelling will go down. I had to be patient and after two months, the swelling has gone down significantly and my eyelids look very natural. The only thing is that I noticed that the shape of each eye is a slightly different from each other (one eye is a bit more rounder and the other slightly more tapered) but not significantly noticeable to other people especially with makeup. I informed Dr. Suzuki about this and I had follow up appointments to discuss my options and she really worked with me. She told me to wait to let my eyelids heal more. I'm glad I listened to her and waited two months because the swelling has gone down very much that we both agree that it looks good and I decided not to go forward with any revision. I am also able to see better peripherally on my left eye since I have an eyelid now. I am happy with my final result. Dr. Suzuki made me feel at ease and she really gave me options and worked with me with my situation. The great thing about QCW is it's not permanent and it's reversible!
