Recently had to change insurances. After 20 years of having a PPO, and now having a HMO, I was concerned about the level of services. I am very much happy with this office, especially having to switch during Covid. Calls are answered and followed up promptly, and so far, I think they are outstanding. Not sure what has happened in the last few years but my last two experiences with Dr. Grady's office have been sub-par. On my last visit, the PA who saw me referred to the eczema I was describing as "possibly dandruff" and suggested essential oils for stress relief. I was so unhappy with being dismissed like that but didn't say anything because I figured it wasn't her expertise. So I went to see a dermatologist after this and he told me I was definitely flaring up and prescribed an oral as well as two topical steroids. The PA at Dr. Grady's didn't even carefully examine my skin, or suggest I go see a dermatologist if it's out of her wheelhouse. Then yesterday I was in for a nurse visit to get a vaccine. I've had a really sore throat for two days now, with my tonsils swollen and painful, so I asked the medical assistant if it was okay to get my vaccine. She stepped out to ask the doctor, and came back and said "She said it's fine as long as you don't have a fever." Then she vaccinated me without taking my temperature or even asking me to see if I have a fever or not. This morning, I called because my throat is worse, and they have no appointments of course. So I go to urgent care and test positive for strep throat, which is super contagious. I'm just wondering why, these medically trained providers didn't think "Hmm, what this patient is describing sounds like strep. Let me go take a quick look." The rapid strep test takes literally 5 minutes to result. It would have taken one minute to look and 5 minutes to diagnose. Another dismissive encounter with them. Oh, but got forbid you miss an appointment or need to cancel last minute, they are up your butt about that $20 missed appointment fee. I think I'll start looking for another provider. read more

The reason for 2 stars and not 1 is Dr. Grady is a wonderful doctor and always has been. Her PAs however are constantly rushing and you kind of get the sense that you aren't even being fully listened to. I came in on 7/11 with viral symptoms and the PA (can't remember her name that's how quick she was) quickly concluded I had a respiratory infection and prescribed me antibiotics that did literally nothing for my case. As my condition worsened, I went to two other doctors and neither one of them said it was a respiratory infection. Not impressed whatsoever with my experience, and they don't seem to work on improving either. I wasted $75 on my co pay and $40 on antibiotics I didn't even need. All they can manage to do is respond to this review with a generic response saying sorry. Very very disappointed- will not be returning. read more

Dr Grady as well as Mercy are EXCELLENT people. Such a great experience / visit with both of them. The only issue I've had is with their receptionist Adriana. She was very very rude and unprofessional. I'm not sure if she was just in a mood that day but she spoke to me as if I was a child when she's the one doing a pre teens job. Dr. Grady is a gem of a doctor, quite personable, respectful as well as competent, with great communication skills. Alternatively, patients needing care right away can often be seen sooner by Physician's assistant Jenna, remarkably helpful, easy to talk to and knowledgeable. I was first referred here by a friend. Then I recommended this office to my daughter and my mom. We'd surely all be patients here to this day if not for insurance plan changes. I do still take my mom to appointments here, and I remain quite pleased. Clearly, many physicians I've had to deal with elsewhere could use some "people-skills" training from Dr. Grady. In fact, compared to many other Medical offices, The entire staff here is refreshingly helpful and pleasant. read more

There's a front desk person in the name of Victoria answering the phone with the negative IQ of a lizard. Uncooperative and utter incompetence are two words that come to mind when describing Victoria. Then you think of more words like hopeless, lame, mentally challenged and just not someone that ought to be answering the phone for a physician. I had cancer two years ago so I'm a bit paranoid about things that happen to my body. Sometimes Jenna and Dr. Grady take a lot of time because they are both really good. Many of the times, it's just them asking me questions and answering them. This is the second time I've spoken to Karina and had a bad experience. One time months ago when I made an appt, she told me I can't take very long with them, and make sure I make it quick. That was a bit sad but I got over it and figured I was just being sensitive. Today I called back because I have an urgent issue, which is why I would be willing to drive from Irvine to see her, and they were going to squeeze me in and then when she saw who I was, she said she couldn't put me in. When I asked why she said there are just patients that take too long and I'm one of them. I told her I found her comment very rude and she just said well we can't squeeze you in and I'm sorry you feel that way. I loved seeing this office, but Karina just really made me not want to go back again. I understand if this is something they take into account in their own mind but you don't tell that to a patient. Dr. Grady and Jenna are amazing though. read more

I use this doctor because it's the one my mom chose since I have her benefits. Customer service is great here and they usually give me a call the day before to remind me of my appointments. Minus one star because at times you'll have to wait a month for an appointment depending on why you're going in. If it's for a regular check up, definitely expect to wait a while. But they did take me in when I called with an urgent matter. They told me they'd have to send me to urgent care instead if they couldn't take me in. Dr. Grady is a good doctor and easy to talk to about any issues or questions you have. Unlike most doctors who just check in and out, she does seem to be invested in why you're visiting her. Her office used to have a physicians assistant that I didn't really like, but I heard she was gone so that makes me feel a little bit more comfortable. read more

Told my girl friend to drive back home when she was 15 minutes late. Nobody was in the office. She is having serious issues that needed to be discussed (I'm a paramedic so believe me when I say serious issues). I'm taking her to the hospital. Yolanda should treat patients that have been coming to her for over 10 years with more respect than that. She also normally makes you wait 15 minutes in the room before she comes anyway. read more

I LOVE Jenna which is why I will stay with this office! she is really nice and patient with you to address any questions you have. I also loved one of the nurses I had today, I wish I got her name because she was the nicest person in the office and made me feel comfortable since I get really nervous being in Doctor's offices! We had a nice conversation about my shoes LOL my only complaint is the people in the front office are a little rude and impatient. I've been to several offices where I've been asked how I am and everything. When I enter this office I feel like I'm bothering them when I ask questions. Never met her, I always see her PA's because she is always fully booked and you have to wait a couple of weeks before you can have a schedule! So if you really want to see her you have to wait. Her PA's are okay but you know and feel that they are in a hurry all the time! You come in because your having cough/cold for a couple of days in a flu season and it's in your profile that you have asthma and she listens to your lungs in just two spots and she's done! That says a lot of things!!! To make matters worse is you wait 10 - 15 minutes and her PA sees you for less than 5 minutes, that's quality! Her office staff are top quality as well!!! I came in to my "SUPPOSED" to be scheduled annual physical with Dr. Grady herself and this lady tells me that I'm not on the schedule. Well, lady I wouldn't be there at the allotted time if I didn't confirm it when to the person from your office who called ME. It's not my fault that that person who called does not know how to do her job! I spoke and confirmed both appointments with that person before we finished our phone conversation! And all you can say is "Sorry" in a nonchalant way. Then you offer to schedule me at a later date 3 WEEKS AWAY!? I had to ask my supervisor a week ahead of time to leave work early for this appointment and youre going to tell me I didn't make an appointment? Thanks for wasting my time. read more

Every time I need to go in they either squeeze me in same day or schedule me for another day. The new system I love you are able to see your lab results on line pretty cool . Horrible experience at this office. I rarely Yelp, but due to my experience I decided I would advise others of this location. This office treats you like a number and not a patient. The staff seems over worked since they can't answer the phone without placing you on hold first, the billing department doesn't return phone calls and the "physician" does not follow up as told during consultation. Overall, I went to this location 3 times hoping it would get better. My last visit they wouldn't see me because I was late. The funny thing is that even if your on time they never see you on your scheduled appt time. They run late ALL the time. I understand the importance of being on time, but there was road construction and traffic was backed-up. I tried to explain since I only went over by the 3 minute grace period, but they wouldn't hear me out. I hope this review helps others to avoid this location. read more
