Been eyeing this place tucked in behind Mickey Ds Right on the side of the road. Small and cozy not exactly for big parties but for a small family or coupled. It's the ol' school form bed and breakfast style. Music flowing through the air as you walk in. The proprietor asked us to find a seat and someone will be with you. Now I noticed some reviews complaining no prices on the menu, well on Yelp the run down of the menu has the prices. The wait staff was friendly spoke Spanish at first but completely bi lingual the chips and salsa good chips Okay not stale salsa taste made in house nice kick. My wife ordered tosada cevieche and hard shell potato tacos I got wet Verde carnitas burrito and a carne asada taco. Potato tacos were good my side taco bigger then a street taco size meat dices but cooked well with pico with it. Cevieche barely passed tmy wifes test it was my wife is picky she said it's a little blan not a usual comment from my wife, unfortunately my wife doesnt recommended this. I did love the Plating. My burrito was well plated and a good size well covered in sauce. Well packed and flavorful good amount of meat. Satisfying. Establishment is clean and has anemiities like high chairs and Sanitizer on the wall. A air unit above the door to keeps unwanted friends away. Wall is brick decor. Wickered chairs Nice cozy mom and pop Atmosphere = 8 Plating = 8 Price to product = 7 Customer service = 8 Menu = 8 Will return to have other things on the menu

If you live in Downey or surrounding areas and have not been to Yoli's, you are surely missing out. The authenticity is why I continue to come back. Their cafe de olla is a great way to start the day!

Started walking recently and walked by Yoli's and decided to try this little place out. It's a small building in the Ralph's parking lot. First time we were there, I decided to try the chilaquiles. When I saw they had mole chilaquiles, I had to have them. Mole is so good-- little on the sweet side but chocolaty and well seasoned. Husband had Huevos Divorciados and the sauces were tasty. Came back a few weeks later and he had for ham and eggs breakfast and I had the huevos a la Mexicana breakfast trying to be healthy, ya know? The potatos were not greasy at all well seasoned in a red sauce that was a pleasant surprise. Today, husband had the chilaquiles divorciados and I ordered from the More Healthy Breakfast and got the egg whites, frijoles de la olla, and chicken for a high protein breakfast and it was good. The salsa is so good, too. What is underrated is the coffee. It's got cinnamon in it adds that touch of nostalgia and warmth. I ask for it over ice because I do walk to Yoli and is still so good! The food is flavorful and hits the spot every time. The service is superb! Yoli's is a secret gem that has amazing food. Highly recommend.

We have driven by this place for a while. It is a very small spot. The food was ok. The service was good. I didn't like the salsa. The chips were not fresh.

They don't cheap out on drinks or food, and the quality is consistently great. Portions are generous, and you get far more sides and extras here than at most Mexican restaurants in the area. The staff of ladies who work here are phenomenal--warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. There is only one older gentleman I've seen be rude to customers, but aside from that single exception, the service is excellent across the board. I judge Mexican restaurants heavily based on how they make a Cadillac margarita, and this place absolutely delivers. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is perfectly cooked, plentiful, and clearly made with care. For me, this restaurant is a solid five out of five. It's one of those spots that deserves far more credit than it gets. If you're looking for quality, authenticity, and great value, it's worth a visit.

The meal started with complimentary chips served alongside both a sweet mole and a savory, tangy mole sauce. It was something I'd never experienced before, and it was incredibly delicious. I ordered the chicken enmoladas, and they were generously stuffed with chicken and smothered in rich, flavorful mole. Every bite tasted authentic, comforting, and incredibly satisfying. For dessert, our waiter recommended the plantains in tequila sauce paired with a café de olla. They were so amazing that we completely devoured the dessert before I even remembered to take a picture! As first-time visitors, my guests and I were genuinely impressed by the quality of the food, the authentic flavors, and the warm service. We'll definitely be back, and I highly recommend giving this place a try if you're craving authentic Mexican cuisine.

Service is attentive, the food has its charm with in-house made tortillas. It really was a hard review to write because all the elements of a great restaurant is embodied in this hidden gem. I chalk it up to ordering the wrong items. The flavors did not pop for me. Hubby opted for the chorizo and he said it was decent and he described it as "diet chorizo"--that he'd probably needed to go back to Sinaloa to capture the true essence of "real" chorizo, the way it's meant to be. The star of his meal was the in-house made flour tortillas-now that's authentic! This is/was the reason that it leaned towards a 4 star. These looked and tasted phenomenal. The aroma took me back to the times when we visited Rosarito's Puerto Nuevo, as the lady made the tortillas by hand & pressed them in the comal, ahh, good times. I ordered the vegetarian omelette with beans & potatoes. The omelette was decent with fresh bell peppers & onions but the seasoning was so mild that I requested for salt & pepper. The potatoes appeared well seasoned in color but lacked that oomph that salt & pepper couldn't fix. My apple pancakes were average. While I appreciated the strawberry compote, there was no apple or apple taste in them. To wash everything down, I had cafe de olla, that was good. The aroma of the brown sugar & cinnamon was ever present. Estrella, our server was very welcoming, attentive and friendly, she gets 5 stars for her service with a smile & hospitality. Their lunch & dinner menu looked very appealing but we wanted breakfast items. We wish we were both molé enthusiasts then perhaps we would've better appreciated & enjoyed those offerings. Both indoor & outdoor seating (front & rear), parking is free & shared with their liquor store at this corner small plaza. Beware, no restrooms available. I'm glad we gave this little shop a try.
