    Cheesy Egg Sandwich
    J E.

While staying at the Hotel Chicago Downtown, I came here for breakfast one morning, as this restaurant is connected to the hotel. The staff was friendly, but it did take a few mins for someone to approach me at the counter once I sat down. Menu had several nice options for breakfast and brunch, so I asked what was good and popular and they suggested their Cheesy Egg Sandwich, which I ordered. I also asked for peppers and onions to be added to my hashbrowns. The food came out pretty quick. It looked great, but the egg sandwich lacked flavor, I hardly noticed the pesto on it. The bagel itself was bland too. The hashbrowns were flavored nicely though, even though there were some overcooked pieces in it that tainted the occasional bite. Coffee was great. Overall, I'd return, just try something different.

The food, drinks, and service were amazing. I was staying at the hotel and came down for breakfast every morning. I ate at the bar, and the seating was comfortable. It's very blue and yellow in there. The vibe for me was a very bright welcoming ambience.

A nice breakfast spot, and true to their name, their eggs were very good! I ordered the eggs benedict, and the yolks on those eggs were very runny. Good quality eggs here and solid items to pair with it. We also ordered the avocado toast with some smoked salmon added to it. Good overall, but they really dumped a lot of tomatoes on there.

Sit down or take out, Yolk delivers a tasty breakfast. I loved the benedict and felt the egg bagel sandwich was solid. I've only been hear during the week and on the earlier side, so my experience on wait time (basically no wait) might not hold true for everyone. Service is friendly and quite frankly amazing. Strawberry orange juice, yes please!

This place delivers the perfect start to the day. Breakfast was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared -- the kind of meal that feels both comforting and satisfying. The coffee was just as impressive: rich, smooth, and expertly crafted. Whether you're easing into the morning or fueling up for a busy day, the combination of wonderful food, great coffee, and a welcoming atmosphere makes this spot a winner.

This brunch spot was a 12 minute walk from my hotel and it was worth it. I really love a good savory breakfast and this spot was perfect for it. I got the bacon eggs and waffles. It's really a simple meal but good. They have coffee here which I did not get to try but I'd recommend others to try it! I also ordered an omelet and you can customize it which is really nice, it tasted really good. There's inside seating and also outside patio seating. Which the outside was full so I'd recommend calling ahead of time or coming in early if you'd like to sit outside!

Yolk. is one of my go to breakfast stops when in Chicago. Their service is friendly & speedy, the portions are massive & everything is incredibly fair priced! The vibes are the perfect start to your morning in the city Everything I've had here has been great! The California Omelet is very well balanced & tastes delicious! The fact that it comes with their yummy pancakes as well is such a game changer; you get a bit of everything when you order here! Definitely add them to your list!

Cool diner feel and location. Food was fantastic and servings were huge, flavorful and well presented. The staff were super fun, engaging and made the whole experience a lot of fun.

Had good time dining here for breakfast! We arrived here on a Monday morning around 8:30 am and were sat immediately. It's a great space with lots of table seating and booths. I loved the staff shirts since they're fun with personality like "Dinner Revival." Service was friendly, fun, and smooth. I ordered the breakfast Mac and cheese! It arrives on a hot skillet with a sunny side up egg and lots of Mac and cheese with green onion and ham. Very filling and lightly sauced so it wasn't too heavy for my first meal of the day!

Breakfast place that does it well. Comforting menu with all of the necessities. Breakfast burritos, pancakes, and French coast. Syrup was perfection. Coffee solid. All around good spot to snag a morning meal before walking about the city. It was very busy so expect a wait!

Great breakfast/brunch stop right on the river. Definitely pricey, but food and service made it worth it. Here's what we ordered: Iced chai (my go-to coffee drink, very well done) Breakfast burrito w/ chorizo (comes with salsa) Skillet with bacon, onion, and cheddar cheese A lot of the meals come with pancakes, which is a sweet side to an already large portion. We ended up taking at least a quarter of the meal home, which made for great leftovers. Our server (I forgot his name -- sorry!!) was super sweet and attentive. If I wasn't on a budget, I'd eat here all the time.

We came for Valentines brunch yesterday. Food looks good but it's actually not that great. The bacon and pork sausage was good but Smoked Salmon Benny wasn't that great. Salmon didn't seem like it was smoked salmon, more like mini pieces of baked salmon. And the sauce had no taste. My man got the Cinnamon Roll French Toast and it wasn't that good either. It felt undercooked. All this for $70 is disappointing. Wouldn't come back.

Very solid, although not cheap, breakfast experience. Our server was definitely in a rush, but was friendly and attentive. I ordered their version of a BLT, which was tasty. I substituted out the hash browns for fresh fruit, which was a great decision - their fruit was wonderful. Nice breakfast spot in a nice area of town, but you do pay for it - the menu isn't cheap.

We happened to already be in the city that day and somehow got lucky finding a reservation close to the time we were already nearby, so we knew we had to take our chance! The staff was also super friendly and really helpful with recommendations throughout the night. We started with the warm Parker House rolls, which were so soft, fluffy, buttery, and delicious. Then we shared the vodka rigatoni, and the portion was definitely big enough for two people to split. So creamy, comforting, and really good. Of course we had to end with one of their classics, the sticky date cake, and OMG. Soooo good. Warm, rich, sweet, and the perfect way to finish dinner. He never came back to the table to check on us. I got the steak frites (medium rare) and the steak was cold to the touch and raw inside. It was so gross that I couldn't eat any of it and told the bus boy to take it off my bill when he came to take our plates. He asked me if I wanted it wrapped up as it was completely untouched and I was like no, thanks. The frites were some dehydrated potato shoe string thing that was extremely over salted and inconsistent texture. Some were crispy and some were soggy.
