Brunch today was at Land & Lake at the London House Chicago. We were lucky enough to get a table by the window and had a wonderful city view to enjoy while eating. My husband had the tomato and goat cheese scramble, and I had avocado toast with poached eggs. My husband thought his breakfast was tasty, although the scramble wasn't a large portion. My avocado toast was good with perfectly poached eggs. The breakfast potatoes on both our dishes were a good-sized portion. We also ordered a fruit cup to share. I felt $7 was a lot for a small cup of bananas, blueberries strawberries. he also ordered a chocolate croissant to share. Unfortunately, it was very dry. Maybe if they had heated the pastry it would've tasted better. I was disappointed the restaurant did not offer a cappuccino or latte, only regular black coffee. I'd go back for the avocado toast.

Land & Lake is next door the the hotel I stayed at and me and my friend loved it! We ordered the American Breakfast and we split the plate! The food tasted great! Our server, Charlie, was the best! He fun, on top of it, and always came to our table to ask us how we are doing! The vibe was also amazing! Chill. Open. A good place to have brunch! We went to breakfast there about three times and ordered the same thing because it was that good! I would definitely come here again!

This is a great spot with a great location. Had a couple great drinks and good food. The service was great and easy to go to the boat tour afterwards.

I had the tomato soup (yum), it was super creamy and great for a cold day. The caesar salad was okay, could have been better but was still pretty good. The service was great and I loved the view! I went right at sunset so we got to see that with the city views while still sitting inside!

2nd time & year coming here with my coworkers prior to an outing on the river. Upon arriving our host was very interesting - she immediately told us that we needed to get our breakfast order in or we won't have any. We said okay as we were seated. The waiters came (with one in training) and took our bottomless mimosa orders. They dropped off the drinks and said they'd be back to take our orders and are that we didn't see them for 30+ min. We were worried cause at this point we were going to miss breakfast! They finally came and took our order and then the hostess came over to tell us she's going to let us pass. Like it was our fault that our waiter didn't come to take our breakfast order in a timely manner especially after her initial warning. That's why 2 stars are taken away. Anyway after that debacle we kept drinking and finally got our food and that's where the 3 stars come into play because the steak and potatoes were great. Steak was cooked really well! We did leave feeling good as well from the mimosas so that's a plus.

We came inside for a quick Father's Day breakfast. It was pretty packed but I didn't have to wait to be seated. It was clean and very organized on the inside! Server came out in a timely manner. I ordered the Chicago hash. It was okay. The sauce wasn't my favorite nor was the corned beef. It's not the canned corned beef. It was good I just think I'd do no sauce next time. I stuck with water because I prefer fresh squeezed orange juice. It was a quick bite to eat! Probably in and out in 40 minutes

So cute little sidewalk restaurant. They were very busy. Our poor waiter was run ragged. The food was very tasty. I loved the chocolate croissant. At one point the waiters tray became off balanced and a can of beer fell at our feet spraying me with beer. The waiter was so sorry he didn't charge us for our drinks. Also he mentioned they were a breakfast restaurant and they ran out of Eggs and bacon. I think the weekend before Memorial Day caught them off guard. It was very busy in the city. At any rate I would recommend this restaurant- staff nice and food delicious

Nice spot to check out while on vacation. I was wanting Bottomless Mimosas and the hotel I was staying at had just stopped serving breakfast but informed us about going to the hotel next door which we did. Service was great and mimosas were hitting. Food was good as well!

Nice place for a hearty, delicious breakfast, brunch, or lunch near the riverwalk. They're attached to Londonhouse hotel. Sit outside, sit inside sit on the raised bench and table, sit at the bar, just have a seat and quit whining. I love the simplicity of the menu. A large, all day breakfast/brunch menu is the highlight. They do have salads, burgers, bowls, entrees, you know, Midwestern comfort food, slightly leveled up. Many come for the mimosa brunch and happy hour. The atmosphere is loud and casual, which feels appropriate. Try the smoked salmon omelet, its delicious but very hearty and filling. Full bar, friendly staff, prompt service for us too! A great place to slip into for a bite.

Located on E. Wacker Dr. between 'The River Hotel' and 'Ocean Prime'. We walked in here on this busy Saturday morning and were seated immediately. They have outside and inside seating with a full sized bar. We tried their 'Croissant Sandwich' and 'Land Benedict' with a side of toast and coffee. Food tasted amazing, and coffee was fresh, such a satisfying breakfast. We were very impressed with the staff here. Everyone we encountered was super friendly and attentive. The manager, 'Tim', was working just as hard as the servers. He made sure to check up on us and keep our coffee cups filled. Shout out to our server, 'Montrell', who was extremely attentive and often checked on us also. Although it was very busy, they seemed to be super organized. This is a sign of excellent management. Overall, we had an awesome breakfast experience here and will definitely return while in town.

Their coffee is almost undrinkable. Service a tad slow. Highlight was my omelette. I asked for cheddar vs. Swiss in my omelette. It was served with fried potatoes and Bernie's sauce. A slice of tomato would have been a nice accompaniment. The setting is lovely. By far the best part.

A convenient location for us as we were staying next door at Club Quarters. Typical breakfast fare, hubby had the 2-egg breakfast, I had the smoked salmon Benedict. Good portions, good service. The server who waited on us was disgruntled about the work flow the previous day of the river dying festivities. Think that conversation should have taken place elsewhere, not in front of customers.

Decent spot for breakfast! I came here when my family was staying at London House since the hotel has breakfast vouchers. The menu isn't huge for a breakfast place but there are still plenty of options. Definitely feels like a hotel restaurant. Veggie omelette was a little weird. It had a lot of creamy things in it and I would have liked some actual vegetables. It was more like avocado mash, goat cheese, and marinara sauce all together. Potatoes were well seasoned. My second visit I got the yogurt and granola. Decent portion but I wish it came with more fruit than just a few bananas! I also got the fruit cup and added that on top Good spot if you are staying at the hotel and want something easy and low key but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

What you don't see unless you're looking closely - It's in a medium end Marriott - not mad at that but it's not a stand alone restaurant. The menu looked absolutely nothing like they show on the restaurant website. It was cheap looking. Same food options as website. The ambiance was well designed but - hotel restaurant vibes. Ordered the tuna crudo. Nothing to write home about. The mussels - I'm maybe gonna wake up with food poisoning tomorrow. The bucatini pesto pasta looked like regurgitated peas baby food and overcooked pasta. I sent it back kindly. And the chicken thighs were cooked. Like, that's all I can say. So I paid, still hungry. Cause the chicken thighs had basically no meat. Crudo is naturally so small and the mussels equally. Left and am now at Hampton Social eating a delicious lobster roll and tomato bisque. The highlight! The people sitting next to me asked me if o was a good critic! Haha - best compliment ever! But disappointment of a restaurant.

That said, this place just completely disappointed. The food was just not good. I had the burger sliders and for $9 a piece you expect them to be something special. They were not. Overcooked with a little sauce and two pickles slapped on the bun with a tiny little dab of fake cheese - it was like a bad and way more expensive version of McDonald's. The onion rings were the frozen crumbly kind not the fresh beer battered kind and so that's a big "no!" for me. The dipping sauce was okay. Service was friendly and I think the guy was new but it wasn't good enough for a place like that at the top of the building. There were two servers so I'm guessing one was training maybe. They didn't make it to my table to check to see if everything was okay while I was eating and it even took them a while to notice that I was done eating. It's was slow so I don't think they were stressing with too many tables. That kind of place should knock your socks off - but it was on the low end of mediocre. I wouldn't go there again for food.
