I learned about this place after going to their first salon in Reston called Shape of Nails. As soon as I found out they were opening a spot closer to my home I was ecstatic! This place is a total GEM! I've never had this level of thoroughness, detail, care taken on each single one of my nails. The technique they use for a gel manicure is not what you normally find when going to a salon, they tell me it's a Russian technique unlike anyone else which literally can last anywhere from 4-5 weeks!!! Ever since coming here my nails have grown so long and strong and never have any chipping issues! My nail artist was Julia and our appointment took approximately 2 hours where she so carefully went through each single nail, no missing any spots, completely removed my cuticle, and filed them exactly how I wanted! 100% recommend this spot read more

Gorgeous girls be mindful of the damage that your natural nail will have. I went to one of the top masters. Not adding her name. But your nails will be so weak after almost paper thin... they tell you that your nails will be strong and healthy but it is far from the truth. With how much they file every time you go each time your nail is thinner. To the point where mine started breaking after two and a half weeks not from the side but from where it is still attached to skin... once I removed the gel I saw how fragile my nails were.. yes they will look beautiful but also will be extremely damaged the day you choose to remove the gel. Would've been a new customer however they failed to even have a conversation with me when i walked in.... I'd been to Yolo for manicure when my regular lady who also does Russian manicure was on vacation. The service was ok, the person that did my nails made them rather bulky. So I didn't return Fast forward today, I go for a pedicure because the last time I was there I observed and it seemed very different. It's a dry pedicure with tool for smoothing callus. The service again, was OK. I noticed the technician wasn't really cutting/cleaning the cuticle buildup. I know I needed them worked because I hadn't had a pedicure in a month or so. When I got home I take a closer look and sure enough they weren't don't. I had to do them myself. The paint job was splotchy and on my skin, so I had to clean that up as well. She provides really good service and she does a really good Job. My nails last me for more than a month. Excellent customer service. I just left after getting my first pedicure at YOLO. I brought my daughter for a mani/pedi for prom, and she loved it. But I had to leave a review right away, because this was the most relaxing pedicure I've ever had! I had a wonderful experience and manicure with Freshta! My friend had been encouraging me to try a Russian manicure for some time and I'm so glad I did. Freshta took the time to explain the process to me and even explained that with my short nails the hard gel overlay I'd requested was a waste of money and the regular gel manicure would be perfect to strengthen my weak nails and grow them out. Best.Pedicure.Ever! I walked into my first appointment at Yolo with feet that were...very rough looking. They have been neglected this summer and it showed on this day. The nail tech spent A LOT of time cleaning up the cuticles, calluses and overall dry feet In fact most of the appointment was spent on this and I appreciate that effort. Polish was applied with perfection. My feet have not looked this good in forever. In fact, I didn't realize they could look this nice anymore. I love that they use the hygienic single use pedicure in a box foot products. The beauty studio inside is pretty and very clean. I'm not sure what star to give really. Based on the initial reaction it would be 0. And I haven't even been to the place. So why the poor rating you ask? I emailed to ask about pricing because I was interested in making an appointment. The response was to call to make an appointment because they do not accept appointments by email. Well, I wasn't asking for an appointment was I? I was initially asking for price of services. It would've been respectful to address the specifics to my email before being so curt. This may indicate that whoever read my email, didn't. Regardless, customer service was nonexistent. If I had called instead, it sounded like they would ask me when I would want the appointment instead of answering my initial questions. It's so frustrating to encounter a potential great business and then experience such bad service from the get-go. It left a bad taste in my mouth and the more I think about it, the more angry I get. They were blunt and rude. No smiley or thank you emoji makes up for the curt response. They just lost two clients. There are plenty of competitors nearby.
