I've visited so many different salons and normally salon hop. But after my first visit here, I haven't been able to go elsewhere because I'm pretty sure I might be disappointed. Very nice staff and great work. I needed to find a new nail salon near me after moving to the area- this is almost in walking distance. I made an appointment online and I didn't wait even a minute. I hate waiting when I book a time. Doesn't make much sense to book if it's not honored, right? I recently found out I have a gel allergy so I had to go the acrylic route. I asked for a milky white acrylic - I prefer full color acrylic sets than painting them after. Vee finished my nails in almost exactly an hour. I usually go in every 2 weeks for an infill but I am traveling for work soon, so I won't be getting in for almost 3 weeks. I plan on updating this review after a couple follow up visits. read more

It took a long time to find an affordable nail spa with good technicians and an array of colors. I do dip polish on my natural nails and she does a great job making my nails maintain a natural look, where the polish does not look thick. My friend and I both got gel x extensions and both of our nails turned out so so so gorgeous. I saw Wendy and my friend saw Dee. I just got a red but my friend got snowflakes and the art work was so good. Some of the best nails I'd ever seen. You'd use them as your inspiration picture type of good. We live in DC so it's a bit of a hike, but we won't go anywhere else now. Love this nail salon. I have been a client of Deedee's for a couple of years and followed her here to her new studio. Deedee is crazy talented, seriously, but she is also warm and kind and hospitable. Her studio is bright and airy and full of the latest and greatest colors and accessories. Parking is great and has never been an issue. She is hands down the best nail tech I have ever had- even better than any artist I've had in NYC, Miami or LA. Wendy, another nail tech here, is also incredible. I'm writing this review after giving this salon 4 tries. Not going back. Im particularly upset after my most recent visit. I get acrylics with gel and haven't asked for anything complicated; either classic french manicures or solid color. It's been less than a week and multiple spots on my nails have chipped and look tacky. I work a desk job and am careful with my nails. Apart from the chipping, I have walked away with bumpy nails, nails falling off, I had to ask for my nails to be filled to the cuticle because there are gaps, I've had to ask for nails to fixed because they're clearly completely different shapes, and slanted nails that aren't straight. With the exception of this most recent visit, I has to file down the tips each time because they were so sharp, they ripped a hole in my pants. I could go on, but I think this gives you a pretty good idea. I'll be looking elsewhere. read more

Very disappointed! I went there to give it a try and ask for a acrylic full set where no acrylic was needed to be removed, I don't like using LED lamp so I put no polish on top of my acrylic. But when I had to pay the charged me $70 dollars even when online said it's $42 dollar regular set (even if I had no tip coat or anything else) Maybe this is the reason why they were not busy at all!! I've been coming for over a year, unfortunately they still don't know my name and call me Jess after multiple corrections. I kept going out of convenience. I was booking standing appointments until I came in a few weeks ago my usual service cost $200 with my nails and the pedicure I was squeezed into the end pedicure chair where I had to climb over implements and my appointment was rushed like I was a walk in, the tech seemed surprised when I mentioned having an appointment, that's when I felt there was no value in making an appointment because there's no consideration for a repeat client. This was my appointment right before Christmas so instead I've giving a $50 tip as I gave my other service providers I only gave 15%. Today I was a walk in at 11am, I needed a fill in and pedicure (what I always get). The shop was busy so at first I was told no and I understood and started to leave but then I was asked to wait 15 min, I waited 30 which was fine. During my appointment at least 4 walk-in pedicures were taken. When my nails were done I asked what pedicure chair I should sit in. There was a look of surprise "Oh you want a pedicure too?! We don't have anybody" I asked "you didn't hear me ask for a Fill in and Pedi (again my usual but when a shop doesn't bother to remember your name why would they remember my service that I'm there every three weeks for.) No response,I was told to come back later in an HOUR or so, it's now 1:30. If there was no time to do both my services I would not have stayed. No apology for the miscommunication. I asked if it's possible to just do a polish change a the owner threw her hands up and said everyone is busy. No care or accommodation for a good client. Just a lack of care and bad customer service. Come here for the base level of service and have no expectations of kindness. I will look for service providers that make sure each client they have is satisfied first instead of prioritizing how many numbers can fill the seats. read more

This is my spot! I almost always schedule an appointment but when I do just a walk-in they are easily able to fit me in with a minimal wait. I always get dip and it'll easily last me 2-3 weeks. Dee Dee and Wendy are my go-to but everyone is so welcoming. Great salon! read more

I am SO sad but I definitely feel like I have to leave this review. I have been going here for many months now and have always left very happy with what I have gotten. Today, I got gel mani/pedi. The pedicure went well, but I was left with bleeding on my big toe. However, I was happy with the color/shaping. When it was time for nails, I had some residual gray cat eye chrome on 5 nails. During the removal process, the chrome like dyed all my nails this nasty gray color. I was skeptical, but figured the milky white would cover it in a couple coats. The outer parts of my nails were gray and sparkly even with 3 coats. I told her I really wasn't happy because it looked so dirty. She said she could take it off and put on another color, but I didn't really want anything else because she had mentioned my nails were really weak. She began the removal process and left gel polish on the entire outside of each nail and told me she couldn't remove anymore bc my nails were weak and to try scrubbing them myself to remove the polish. Obviously that was not successful, so they then told me that next time I could get that design and expected me to leave with my nails still gray and the outer edges covered in the milky white. I was SO upset and told them I simply cannot leave with my nails looking like this. They then did an acetone soak and were able to remove the gray from the cat eye and the milky white. I was expecting the ENTIRE manicure service to be removed from my bill, but they still made me pay for it. This makes me SO sad because I loved this place, but this experience was so disappointing I don't think I will be back:( read more

I have been to Kissme twice now and while I am quite satisfied with the quality pedicures, I am somewhat disappointed by the relative lack of professionalism of some of the employees. This nail salon calls itself a spa, and one would expect the staff to behave with that setting in mind. The young lady who did my nails chatted in her native language (it was more of a monologue than an actual conversation) during the whole pedicure with another nail technician. I found this behavior to be very irritating: I was not able to relax in peace and quiet, and furthermore, thought it was disrespectful to the clients. I love Kissme Nail Spa! I followed the owner Deedee to Kissme Nail Spa after my amazing experiences with her at her former salon. She is so committed to her craft and business, and committed to teaching her staff new skills as well. I've seen this firsthand. I go there every 3-4 weeks with complicated or super simple design ideas and Deedee slays them every single time. She is unbelievably talented and compassionate. I've also had great experiences with Wendy! They're the type of technicians that pride themselves on their work and I've never gotten cleaner, longer lasting manicures than before I started going to them. I've recommended this place to others & now they're hooked as well. Deedee is a great listener and my advice for anyone who is unsatisfied with their service(s) is to kindly let them know there and then. They want their customers to be happy and this helps the staff learn and grow as a business and as a team. For reference, I always get dip powder and they last without any chipping on my natural nails until I go to get them removed.
