We stopped by YOLO Rolled Ice Cream while visiting Branson, Missouri. The ice cream itself was really good and we enjoyed getting to watch it being made. We also really enjoyed reading their story that was displayed inside the business--it was interesting to learn more about how they got started. Unfortunately, the employees did not have the best attitudes during our visit, which took away from the overall experience. That said, the ice cream was good, and we would more than likely give YOLO another try the next time we're in Branson. Hopefully, our next visit will be a better experience! read more

I happen to LOVE rolled ice cream. And it's challenging to find these types of ice cream places. My hubby and I discovered this hidden gem in a small strip mall after yelping for something sweet. I tried the pretzel caramel and husband had strawberry cheesecake. I was glad they let me order the kid size as I don't need a large portion. Clever concept and unique product. Taste was good. You HAVE to try this!!! We waited 45 minutes, but it was worth it. It is very expensive though ($9.99 for a regular size)! Just watching them make it is amazing. Fresh cream is poured onto a frozen slab, and mixed with your choice of toppings. It is then flattened into a very thin rectangle and then rolled up in 5-6 rolls, stuffed in a cup, and then more toppings on top. The base flavor is the house flavor, and I mixed it with strawberries and chocolate chips (they were actually chocolate chip cookies, which I didn't like and wish I'd known). But it was so good! Really great ice cream and an equally great experience! The owner was rolling ice cream and shared with us that he and his fiancé opened YOLO in January of 2023, so only open a few months now! It can be a wait, for sure, so maybe don't come when your kids are exhausted (and if they are, do the gelato instead!). the mascot is scary af. other than that, I really, really, like my stay. the entire place was decked out in street-style art? like graffiti except more abstract and organized and I liked it!! they also serve gelato but I never got to try that. the management of the place was real cool and amusing in a good way, professionaly entertaining if that makes sense. I got the Cookie Monster, and 2 mint chocolate chips. In which my pop did not like, but I did. I will admit though, after 2 bites it was so cold I couldn't taste anythin anymore but I liked the taste and texture.
