I was discussing the various menu options just Wednesday night with the only person in front of me in line and she expressed her strong desire for the Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl. I told her that I had been pleased with everything on the menu but she was going to stay strong and stick with her usual order. Once again, this is in Hodgenville, not a place known for adventuresome eating, and their food is so good that they already have a strong following in an area where Hawaiian cuisine is practically unknown. By the time the truck actually opened for service, there was a significant line of people waiting to order. It also makes me very happy that poke is on the horizon. If you crave Hawaiian style "grinds" and either don't know how to make it or want the quick fix, this should be your go-to. Their rotation of locations each day is smart to extend their reach within Hardin County. What is nice is they rotate within the same day! This is the essence of a food truck, to be on the move and for you to be ready to go after where they may be. In the spirit of some popular trucks in bigger cities giving them #papahaoles will increase their recognition and following. They are also great at rotating their offerings and providing new items to prevent stagnation. It won't be a surprise if they eventually gain enough volume to demand a storefront in the near future.
