I was in town for Business staying overnight at a local hotel. I went for a walk and wanted to bring something back to the hotel for dinner. I've been wanting to try this restaurant so I stopped in to get an order to go. I was greeted immediately and was given a choice of two menus to look at. I wanted a Greek salad and the only one I saw came with the lettuce grilled. I asked to get it without the grilled Romain just regular Romain and added shrimp. I also ordered a bowl of soup. When I got back to the hotel, the salad came with spring mix. This is my absolute least favorite lettuce, and when you put something hot on it like the shrimp, the lettuce wilt. I spent a good amount of time picking out the wilted pieces. The dressing was absolutely fantastic and they gave me plenty. The shrimp or cooked nicely and I enjoyed the soup. The downstairs is more casual than the upstairs from what I hear, but it looked like a fun place to grab a quick dinner and sit at the bar and have a few drinks. read more

Went into Yorgos - 1st time Ordered two Jamison on the rocks. Never once said doubles. First problem bartender grabs an unmarked shot glass says it's Jamison pours it over my ice and dribbles a few drops to top it off- $39!!! For 2 "doubles" which I NEVER ORDERED What a RIP OFF!!! Great food at an affordable price with a nice atmosphere. The place was decorated lovely for the holidays which is what drew us in at first. My cheeseburger with fries was $14+ tax and tip which felt pretty good to me, especially with a full half pound of meat! I was a little taken aback by how the cheddar cheese was cooked (see photo?) but I didn't taste a difference. It was a very good burger. Service was good and attentive- came and refilled our waters without us needing to ask. We picked our own table as well which I always appreciate. Def stop in! read more

We dined on the second floor of Yorgos, which has a more "greek" inspired menu. The first floor is definitely more casual- wings, burgers, etc. We had an 8:15 reservation for a party of 4 on a Saturday night and were seated right away. Our waiter was nice, although appeared very rushed throughout everything. Everyone enjoyed their cocktail- I recommend the grassy greek! It was refreshing, fruity, and was a nice contrast to my meal. We shared the appetizer platter, which had delicious three of each appetizer. As a party of 4, we made it work, but we wish there was more of each so we could all try everything! For my meal, I picked the grilled gyro platter. The meat was flavorful and warm, and the pita portion was huge! I was very happy with my meal. read more

From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted with a smile and an abundance of great customer service. We were escorted to the second floor dining area that had such a beautiful and elegant look to it. Our server was Judy, who advised us that she was very new to the establishment but in no way would we have ever guessed that because she fit so well and she was perfect for the position. Judee advised us of the specials and attended to us frequently to make sure that our experience was amazing. We ordered soup, and I can honestly say that the seafood corn chowder was to heavenly. I also ordered for my entrée, the Chilean Seabass. It was well prepared so light with a bit of a a crispiness around the edges that just melted in my mouth. Everything was so delicious. One of our sides was the sweet potato casserole, which I tried for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it is. For my first experience at your goals, I will definitely say I will be a repeat customer. It was definitely the highlight of my Friday night and the best way to end my work week. read more

While the outside of this place looked festive and Greek- food absolutely disappointing. I cannot believe this is a Greek restaurant. Inside is more like a dive bar. My boyfriend's whole order was a mess. The Caesar salad seemed ok to begin with but then there was a hair in the salad so that stopped being edible. I brought it to the waitress and complained. You'd think the manager or owner would check on us after complaining about a hair in the salad, apologize and check on our table and rest of order, but NOTHING. They did bring another one to the table (but we didn't want it). What horrible restaurant customer service. Crab topped burger was edible but nothing to rave about at all. then the gyro platter was delivered, supposed to have no tomatoes, no lettuce and no leaves- but it came with one side covered in all of what was specifically asked NOT to have, which then made that side of the pita drenched and inedible- but look at the gyro meat. Looked like store bought thin sausage. Where do you get gyro meat that looks like this? Again, Not great food, hair in salad, and nothing seemed Greek here. I had my 25th birthday at Yorgos with a party for 20+ people. Lauren, Guy, the owner, the entire staffed who helped me celebrate were amazing! The atmosphere was fun, servers and bartenders were fast and efficient, and the owner even came by to make sure everything was running smoothly. Because I rented out the third floor I had private access to the rooftop patio and the bar. The experience was great, the people were amazing. I'll definitely book again. First order in a new Greek restaurant, (takeout) I always order a Greek salad. Okay, no feta chunks, just fairy dust. No anchovies (is it just me?), a few ribs of red onion.....and no stuffed grape leaves. Or green pepper. And they charged me an extra 3 bucks for a toasted pita. When did we start paying for bread? Kvetching aside, fresh greens, tomato and calamatta olives were very nice. I will not be deterred from ordering it again, but I will make it a point to run down all the ingredients. After calling to make a reservation, and being told I didn't need one, we were rejected by the host and an older gentleman, I believe the owner, immediately at the front door. When I told him that I spoke to a young woman on the phone, he said that no women work there. That should be a problem by itself if it was believable. We were anxious to get there seeing the menu and reading the good reviews. We looked past the overflowing trash cans on the side of the building and piles of empty boxes crowding the sidewalk. The food was really good for some authentic Greek, they also had some American bar food on the menu as well but we did not try this. We tried the mezedes to start which was your typical Greek smorgasbord of hummus, gyro meat, tzatziki, etc then had the spanakopita and pastitsio and a baklava for desert. We really enjoyed everything and would give the food five stars, but after receiving the check it was a little pricey (we also each got a beer) hence the four stars. read more

Service is unfriendly and unaccomodating. Security told us that an unresponsive unconscious man lying on the second floor landing was "fine" and refused to call EMS, but did a stellar job at yelling at whoever got close to check on him. Establishment leaves much to be desired with drinks that are made well but overpriced and bartenders that unapologeticly don't know how to split checks or ring drinks or give good service. This place is an episode of Kitchen Nightmares waiting to happen. The staff were unprofessional and impolite. The owner was incredibly rude not only to customers but also to his employees, in front of the customers. The drinks were flat, watered down, and expensive. The meat tasted like it came from a Sam's Club frozen section and the vegetables like they came from Walmart. Everything was far more expensive than it was worth and the employees did not know how to work their own point of sale system. Highly recommend that you never eat here. read more

Had dinner here on 9/15/22 aka last night. I ordered the Gyro platter, which came with a house salad too. The salad was fine (I mean it was a side salad). But the gyro slices were thicker than I'm accustomed to but still was mid level at best The tzatziki sauce was nothing but sour cream and some Greek spices. I'm between 4-5 stars but I can't give you 4.4 and say "get more interesting side dishes". And that "plate presentation could use some work" but those are just me being fussy. I've been patiently waiting for the reopening. Before I would stay away from Yorgos, the food was mediocre at best and the crowd on the weekends was not the most desirable. Both the dining/bar and basement were dirty. I attempted to go for lunch last week, but due to holiday hours they were not open until 4 p.m. Tonight we stopped in for drinks only to see the finished renovation. The first floor is casual dining, second floor is fine dinning, third floor is a cocktail lounge and finally the roof top. Overall the redesign is beautiful. It will be interesting to see if this place can maintain its newly refinished facelift. The bartenders were very nice, almost too talkative, but we were the only two people at the bar. Very disappointed in the selection of beer. For being a "fine dining" spot you'd think the beer selection would be elevated, not the case. Four beers on tap, all domestic and one craft beer, Victory Brewing. You can fancy up the space, but if you don't change your menu and offerings, the cosmetic changes don't matter. During the summer brunch and dinner will be served on the rooftop. There will be a DJ on the third floor on Friday's and Saturday's. I look forward to coming back and seeing if the food has improved. read more

Bouncers would not let group in as a couple people did not have ID. That is fine, but upon leaving, the owner and a bouncer followed the group down the entire block and shoved a few people onto the ground. I personally attempted to video after it escalated but my phone was ripped from my hand by one of the bouncers and the video was deleted. I've never experienced something so sketchy, disrespectful, and illegal but given I have no proof they will continue doing business this way. I spoke with another gentleman in my hotel nearby who also videoed the situation and was also afraid to take video due to the hostility of the bouncers. I would never recommend going somewhere with such an abrasive, power hungry, disgusting group of staff.. which is led by an erratic, unprofessional and disrespectful owner. They should work in a prison or zoo if they want to treat people like animals. read more

Found this place on a humble after an evening of shopping at the outlets!! By God..... did we find a gold mine!!!! And by far the BEST authentic Greek food I've tasted in America.
