    a cup of coffee
    Curt J.

I've been here before and had great meals. Tonight was a disappointment. No silverware. Employee: "Oh." Asked for food to be microwaved a minute. Employee: "Is it not warm?" Asked for refill on coffee. Later asked for a shot of Jack and a roll or slice of bread to clean my plate. Employee: "Garlic bread?" No, just a roll or a slice of bread. (Employee discusses with other employee) Other employee: "Garlic bread?" No Jack Daniels. I ask again as the employee walks by. Employee: "Oh." I echo her, "Oh." Other employee: "We gave you the bread, didn't we?" I asked for a roll or a slice of bread. I got two tiny, buttered, nuked, mini things. No loaf of bread in the building? Waited on silverware. Had to ask twice for a shot. Had to ask for a coffee refill. Two employees, one making comments, one forgetting me. Perhaps two employees serving me caused a miscommunication. I left an $8 tip on a $34 tab. I'm not a Karen or a Kevin. That said, I won't be back. I work customer service, too. it costs nothing to be polite. Too many other places to eat.

WOW! The absolute best place for wings in Lancaster County. They are very well prepared and sauced, very moist and full of flavor. They have a great selection of beers too. Our team of the Men's Executive Board which visited 10 different bars and restaurants this summer evaluating each one and after the final qualifying round of the top 3 we voted The Station House the best Wings for 2023 with a final score of 9.97 out of 10. The highest score ever. Try the Key West wings. They are the best. Kayla is a great host for your visit to the Station House. You have to try this place.

Beef empanadas were dry. Chipotle ranch was good

We liked this place before it closed for a few years after Covid. Now that it reopened we were excited to go back, the service was great our waitress was very nice. We ordered beef empanadas for an appetizer, it was super dry inside and didn't come with the chipotle ranch listed on the menu. We had to ask for it, same thing happened to other people we know when they came to check it out. The fries were super good, crispy and a little brown and salted nicely. I got a cheeseburger sub and it was okay, just an average sub. The side Caesar was okay too, not the best not the worst but the lettuce was super dark and got mushy with the dressing after a few minutes

I like this place. Good food, cold beer, friendly bartenders. Love coming to this part or PA on business. End of story.

This was my 2nd time coming to Mad Chef!…read more The first time I came here was about 2 years ago (before doing yelp reviews). I was not very impressed. This time around I cannot complain! Their specials are all revolving around the Masters which was unique! We tried the Pimento, Fried Green Tomato, Chicken Sandwich (The Pimento Birdie). This was a delicious sandwich that just screams Georgia! We also tried the Madfather Chicken Sandwich! Pesto, Vodka Sauce, Mozzarella, this thing was outstanding! The fries are always a highlight here! We got the bucket (had a bigger group) and it came with 3 sauces. 1 tiny little knock on the fry bucket....the entire bucket was not filled with fries. The bottom of the fry bucket had about an inch or 2 of crinkled up paper..... All of the food was outstanding. The beer was good. Tons of space and seating. Very easy ordering process. Go up to the counter, tell them your table number, and your food arrives shortly! Prices are high here! Expect a larger number on your check if consuming both food and alcohol!

Big Sigh... An attempt to create something good, unsual, but…read morenot only falls short in doing so, the inflated prices were enough for you to rethink your groceries for the week. Maybe what I smelled upon walking inside Mad Chef, were hops; I'm unsure. There was a lingering, unpleasant scent (hay/old peanut shells, an earthy staleness). When my food arrived, the scent dissipated. I purposely took a picture of the fish, on my fried fish sandwich, to illustrate what $17 and some change, looks like - very thin. The fish fry was tasty, slightly undercooked, soft crusted and soft bun, fresh condiments and those "pickles" were stellar. They were the best part of my meal. I would seriously purchase a jar of those pickles. Was wary of how hot honey would mesh with a pepperoni pizza, but surprisingly, the sweet heat and the savoriness of the pepperonis, worked well together. The only miss and it's a pretty big "miss," was the paper thin, tasteless crust, acting only as a vehicle to hold the toppings. Suggest you improve the crust and then, you'll have a stellar pie. Loved the peach bread pudding with brown sugar ice cream, but once again, for the price; the portion was skimpy. Liked the touch of homemade whipped cream, but it was overly whipped (stiff and tasteless), making it actually, impalatable.

I wasn't a fan of the coleslaw. Very different from any coleslaw I've ever had before. Not saying it wasn't good. Just wasn't my thing. The sandwich was good. My son ordered a huge sandwich (can't remember what it was called) and it has coleslaw and fries inside. I snatched a fry and they were so good! Three people, three sandwiches and under $40. Good deal! Especially when two of those sandwiches could have served other people. They were huge.

We ordered the New Yorker sandwich this time (had the Don last time). It was good but not great. The spicy mustard was unevenly applied so was missing on my half and was badly needed. The Don sandwich last week had meat spread throughout and the fries in the sandwich were crunchy and not limp like today's sandwich. We also had naked BBQ wings that were good, but again, not as good as we had last week. The wings were bigger, meatier and better sauced last time. Apparently didn't take pics last weekend for comparison, but it was noticeably better then so would suspect that cooking is uneven. Last week was a 5, today was just a 3, so I averaged.

Our waitress was Kylie and she did a great job! Personable, on top of things without being intrusive, explained the specials clearly and concisely without being pushy at all! We started with drinks and the spinach reggiano dip-delicious! My wife had the 6oz filet mignon, and I had the Cajun ribeye. Both arrived in a timely manor but not right on top of the appetizer--timed perfectly! The steaks were tender and cooked exactly to order! The matchstick French fries sided the steaks perfectly! The coleslaw and broccoli rounded things out nicely! We were too full for dessert, perhaps next time! The manager stopped by to check on everything as we were wrapping up-very personable and polite! They are definetly doing it right! Great food, great service and we found it to be very reasonably priced! We look forward to the next visit when we are back in the area!
