I've been here before and had great meals. Tonight was a disappointment. No silverware. Employee: "Oh." Asked for food to be microwaved a minute. Employee: "Is it not warm?" Asked for refill on coffee. Later asked for a shot of Jack and a roll or slice of bread to clean my plate. Employee: "Garlic bread?" No, just a roll or a slice of bread. (Employee discusses with other employee) Other employee: "Garlic bread?" No Jack Daniels. I ask again as the employee walks by. Employee: "Oh." I echo her, "Oh." Other employee: "We gave you the bread, didn't we?" I asked for a roll or a slice of bread. I got two tiny, buttered, nuked, mini things. No loaf of bread in the building? Waited on silverware. Had to ask twice for a shot. Had to ask for a coffee refill. Two employees, one making comments, one forgetting me. Perhaps two employees serving me caused a miscommunication. I left an $8 tip on a $34 tab. I'm not a Karen or a Kevin. That said, I won't be back. I work customer service, too. it costs nothing to be polite. Too many other places to eat. read more

I have been really impressed with this place for a local sports bar! Bar food, yes...but some of the specialty and weekend menus are AWESOME. Especially during football season. It's certainly not a "fast food" restaurant. Grab a beer, sit back, watch any game you want...sometimes even games you don't know you want to see. We stopped in in a Saturday night to watch the Celtics game as my boyfriend is a huge fan and as we sat at the bar the young woman asked if I would like the Phillies game on the other tv. Heck yeah , I didn't even ask but somehow she guessed I was a Phillies fan lol . Service was great and our server was very friendly and attentive . Beers were cold and the Station House Fries did not disappoint ! Huge plate of hot fries with beer cheese , shredded cheese and lots of bacon , we would have liked more of the Cajun spice but they were still pretty amazing. Friendly atmosphere and the hot sub was to die for. We ordered the cold one too, but it was pretty average. Service was a bit slow and the bill for a couple subs, a side of onion rings, and one soda was around $40 with tax. We liked the thick wood tables and the small group feel with lots of screens and sports fans. That night we were looking for a chill atmosphere, and that's just what we got. We hadn't been Station House for over six months and I now can remember why. The food is not appealing at all. We order wings and they arrived COLD! The Chili and Tomato Bis was just OK. My tenderloin wrap was greasy and the fries were limp. McDs would have been a better choice. Granted, they were understaffed and perhaps they were understaffed in the kitchen too. WOW! The absolute best place for wings in Lancaster County. They are very well prepared and sauced, very moist and full of flavor. They have a great selection of beers too. Our team of the Men's Executive Board which visited 10 different bars and restaurants this summer evaluating each one and after the final qualifying round of the top 3 we voted The Station House the best Wings for 2023 with a final score of 9.97 out of 10. The highest score ever. Try the Key West wings. They are the best. Kayla is a great host for your visit to the Station House. You have to try this place. read more

We liked this place before it closed for a few years after Covid. Now that it reopened we were excited to go back, the service was great our waitress was very nice. We ordered beef empanadas for an appetizer, it was super dry inside and didn't come with the chipotle ranch listed on the menu. We had to ask for it, same thing happened to other people we know when they came to check it out. The fries were super good, crispy and a little brown and salted nicely. I got a cheeseburger sub and it was okay, just an average sub. The side Caesar was okay too, not the best not the worst but the lettuce was super dark and got mushy with the dressing after a few minutes read more

We started coming to this restaurant and bar about 4 months ago. The drinks are great. They have many draft beers including my Smithwicks and husband's Guinness. We tried almost all the appetizers. Today I had crabcakes and asparagus. Very tasty and with lump crabmeat. read more

I can always count on this place for decent food and good service. The server was friendly, prompt and checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. The chicken cheese steak was good, I just prefer my chicken finely chopped like a regular cheese steak instead of cubed. Bread was better toasted and the onion rings tasted fresh. What made the taco salad was the in house shell. It wasn't a store bought, low quality shell. Overall you won't be disappointed. Consistency is key. Just tried it again a few days ago with my wife since in re-opened under new management. The decor is still similar with a few updates. They were a little short staffed that day but the owner came in and helped serve because his waitress was swamped working the bar plus three sections. I ordered the quesadilla and a serving of the buffalo chicken cheese fries which is huge! My wife got a burger and all of it was delicious. Service was a bit slow but other guests and the staff made it worth the wait. Our waitress went the extra mile to make sure we had all we needed. read more

I am absolutely impressed with this place. I'm currently pregnant and really struggling to find things that I enjoy to eat. Meat has been one of the things that I've been struggling with. I saw the balsamic glaze chicken on the menu and decided to ask the waiter if it was good and to describe to me what it tasted like since I worried about it being dry and me possibly wasting my money. The waiter mentioned my situation to the chef, Nestor, and the chef proceeded to come out, and asked me exactly how I would like it. He made a glaze and came out with it to let me try it which shocked me. It tasted AMAZING!!!! When they brought out my meal, it was the most I've enjoyed meat in weeks, it was so tender and full of flavor!! Thank you Nestor for you're attention to detail. We stumbled upon The Station House when we took a wrong turn on our way to the Christmas Light show. It turns out its under new ownership. The staff here are doing an incredible job at providing a fine dining experience while keeping a home town/ comfortable atmosphere. I had the Station House Burger and it was honestly one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. They serve fresh cut fries here which I was impressed with for a bar and grill. I WISH they were in Mechanicsburg so I could go back as a regular! You won't regret stopping in here. read more

Let's just say this place isn't what it used to be. You used to be able to walk in here and maybe get a seat, enjoy just about every game that was on, grab some awesome beer specials during the game, and enjoy some great food. This used to be one of the best sports bars in the area before all the big chains rolled in. We were pretty bummed when they closed but were excited when we heard they were reopening. Nothing about the current state of this place would bring us back. During peak football time the place was dead, they had one tv on, staff was sitting on the bar top chit chatting, etc. it was not a welcoming experience when you're trying to hang out and watch some football games. The environment didn't really make us want to hang out for a while and relax. For that reason we skipped the food and just had a few beers and went elsewhere. I would have gave it 1 star but the staff was actually friendly and attentive. I don't see this place making it without the intervention of Robert Irvine or Jon Taffer. read more

Where do I begin...ordered a cup of french onion soup, 2 tender tip subs 1 with banana peppers and 1 order of fries and 1 order of onion rings. Waited a really long time for the food and when it came out, we just received the sandwiches. Meat very dry, rolls very hard on the ends so we left them, cheese not melted. Onion rings and fries were good. Had to ask twice for my soup and when it came out, WOW and not in a good way. French onion soup with the cheese on top was NOT golden, NOT bubbly, NOT totally melted. I thought uh oh it is going to be cold. Good news, it was hot, bad news it was so salty it was not edible. You could taste so much beef bouillon, it was bad. Said something to the waitress and she said the convection oven isn't working I had to stick it in the oven, hence no bubbly golden brown cheese. A little honesty from her and I would have ordered something else. She did take it off the check. Received the check and they charged us fifty cents for banana peppers and we never got them so another check readjustment. I heard a gentleman at another table complain and she said sorry we messed up, and on your first visit. Well, same here and it will be our last. I have a sneaking suspicion they won't be around long. read more

I've been to Station House a handful of times to watch Steelers and Pens games and also for their great wings. Don't worry Philly fans, they seem to be split 50/50 and have all the games on. Their food is solid bar food. Nothing fancy but done right. The servers and bar tenders are always extra friendly. The beer prices are fair. My wife loves the orange crush which must be their specialty. I like it too. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for good wings or to watch sports. read more

We went on a Saturday night and had a party of 6. Just us in the waiting area. Another party of 6 comes in after us and gets seated in the bar area. We ask the hostess what is up and she says, "I didn't think you would want to sit in the bar area with kids." Mmmhhh, thanks for asking. Then a booth opens up. We ask to sit there and she says, " I don't think my manager will let 6 people sit there." We said..."Bye". First things first: the blonde hostess at the Station House is a miserable excuse for a person. I've eaten here probably 2 dozen times, and not once has she been the least bit pleasant. I have no idea how she manages to stay employed there. Now that that's taken care of: nearly everything else about this place is wonderful. The food is always delicious, the rest of the staff is considerate and attentive, and the location is great-- just outside the city. Do yourself a favor and visit for a game or dinner! Whilst traveling for work some coworkers and I dined here. The tables were clean, the service was great and the food was good. I had the bbq burger and we shared some buffalo wings, buffalo shrimp and loaded buffalo chicken fries. The buffalo chicken fries in the full order size was a tremendously large portion. The 1/2 serving is sure to be able to satisfy most nearly any 2 wanting to split this appetizer. Our group of had a hard time finishing off the full serving. read more

Only giving 3 stars due to service. We've been in numerous times and while the food is 4 star, the service barely rates a 2. My husband was in a few weeks ago and got the wrong sandwich. On our most recent visit, I ordered a ham and cheese grilled. What I got was a cheese no ham. Not really that big of a deal, was just going to mention it to the bartender so I wasnt charged for the ham. Unfortunately, with 5 people including us at the bar he was too busy to even check on us once! In contrast, a few weeks ago we were at a competitor. The bartender had a full(at least 15 people) bar AND 5 tables, and managed to check on our group TWICE!!! Station House, you need to step it up in the service department! read more

Great place for football. Get there early for a spot at the bar in front of your favorite teams tv. Yep, they label the TVs so you know which game is where. Pretty great idea. Bar staff is attentive and friendly, basic bar banter comes naturally to these folks. Wings are delicious here as well, none of that gross spittsburgh style where you have to chew the fat before you get to business. All around solid joint for pretty much anything. I got the House Nachos with blackened chicken during a Saturday evening visit, they were the best with the freshest toppings. There's a great selection of approximately 20 regular and seasonal brews on tap. Plenty of TV screens for watching a game, the interior is modern with nice decor, and lots of free parking available in a clean and well lit parking. read more
