One quarter plus one quarter equals a half, right?

I thought I'd try the Greek Chicken to compare to Squab's Gyros on Mannheim. At Yorky's, they serve a 1/4 chicken on a bigger platter to include their roasted potatoes in addition to the usual yellow rice and side salad. Actually, they give you two chicken quarters (2 leg-thigh combos) which was good but I prefer Squab 1/2 chicken for the breast and wing. Yorky's was tasty but a little dry. Next time, I'm gonna try some gyros.

The Yorky steak sandwich was tough and full of gristle. The grilled chicken was dry. It was such a shame because the food looked good.

I don't return bad food for fear of retribution, so restaurants have one opportunity to make a good first impression. My husband and I ate here on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the Yorky Steak Sandwich combo. When it came out, it looked delicious. However, the steak was so tough and full of gristle, it was almost entirely inedible. My husband ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and it was dry. We won't be back. It's that simple.

My dad and I were picking something up in the area and very hungry. We decided to check out Yorky's. The building is on the corner of 83 and St. Charles Road and very hard to miss. Upon entering, you are welcomed with a very clean set up and nice, cool air (it was 90 degrees that day). You place your order at the counter and then wait for your number to be called. My dad ordered the jumbo shrimp dinner. Deep breaded shrimp served with greek potatoes, rice, salad, and garlic bread. The platter so much larger than we had anticipated. It could feed two to three people! The greek potatoes were very tasty, but we felt the rest of the food fell short of flavor. I ordered a chicken caesar salad. The amount of chicken in the salad was very generous, but again, the salad itself lacked flavor - and I feel it is hard to mess up a pretty "basic" salad. Yorky's is definitely not terrible, but I probably will not visit again.

I grew up eating Gyro's when I lived in Chicago. I'm currently living in Florida, but I came up to visit. I normally don't stay in this side of the town, so I didn't know any of the places here. I tried this restaurant. I had to order the bureau with everything on it. And it was by far the best tasting gyro I've ever had. If anyone has any other places they believe is The best gyro, please let me know. I grew up on Mickey's when it wasn't its original location back in the 80s in Tinley Park.

I don't eat out much but when I do you better believe I'm getting yorkys! The best gyro salad. Love the polish. Don't think iv tried something I have not liked!

Still the best pork chop dinner and great service as well! Pork chop is tender and very well seasoned. My husband said his italian beef is good too.

I love this place. The food was so good and tried to eat all of it but couldn't. They give you so much. The service was good. We ordered it online and picked it up at the drive through.

YORKY steak sammy was literally half fat, but the pizza puff was fire...quit being skimpy with the pita!

However, since this Lombard location opened, I think at least a decade ago we've definitely been coming here consistently. Even though I don't put a review of every single time I visit. However, my last review of this place was over four years ago, so I thought it was about time to update this. I still give it a solid four stars because this place is key and king on consistency. If there's one thing you can rely on here is that that same recipe from 10 years ago or 30 years ago is still the same good recipe today. And that is absolutely fantastic. I do believe the portions have gotten slightly smaller over the years and obviously prices have gone up, but this is to be expected. The only downfall of this location is that they never take reservations that if you come during peak hours, you better expect to wait even over and up to an hour. Something else that I've seen really evolved at this place is that when they originally first opened, including the Greektown location, all servers, including bus, boys, etc., were all Greek that has definitely changed now over the years The parking lot here is still very generous however during peak times beware it will be hard to find the parking space and there is no valet. Well, consistency is fantastic. I do wish they had expanded the menu to make lokoumades dessert. It's one of my favorites and they still don't offer it.

We were picking up a to-go order, but the woman at the front seemed distracted and came across as somewhat rude. I understand they were busy, but we still had to wait an additional 20 minutes. While waiting, we went to the bar for cocktails. After she finally handed us a bag, she came back and took it from us because she had given us the wrong order. The bartenders also seemed overwhelmed, and it took a while before someone noticed us and took our drink order. The cocktails were fine, but the overall experience felt disorganized and unwelcoming. Despite enjoying the food and décor, I probably would not return.

Naxos has a pretty big menu but is still limited in some things. A lot of it is meaty including fish. There's few choices for vegetarians but they have salad at least. Coming in here it looks a lot fancier than the places around it. It's actually still pretty casual and there's okay prices. There's a bar at the front and that's where we sat. Good stuff as far as alcohol. It's about $7 for the House Red Wine. A good one. It's about $11 for the Athenian Salad. This is pretty much like a Greek Salad. Okay but basic. The rest of the menu has classics like moussaka and spanakopita among lots of things you can get. Good enough that maybe we could go here again. It's located on Irving Park at Rohlwing. The Fried Eggplant is among the few things for vegetarians.

No time to cook for my dinner after I left. In regards to the food the salad was fresh and healthy. Gyros was okay good. I ordered the dinner because I was that hungry. This is more of a hole in the wall ambience but sometimes hole in the wall places serve good food and I took a chance. According to Yelp this was four stars. That's why the three stars because I didn't like how they stacked French fries on top of pita bread and gyros. They gave more fries than they did of gyros meat which made the plate look so big. French Fries was just ok. They were the thin cut ones not the steak fries that I usually serve with Gyros. I also ordered chocolate cake for dessert and a fountain drink. The Chocolate cake was delicious too. Similar to Portillo Chocolate cake on the frosting or icing and cake texture. Not too dry and flaky. Will come back for either the New York strip steak dinner or there are famous roasted chicken but I'd like to try to stick dinner for $25 since it's a hole in the wall and that's some bougie steak restaurant.
