A burger joint in a strip mall doesn't inspire confidence, but you walk into this cozy place, with attractive wall murals, and somehow you get the feeling that you're in the right place. We were in a rush, so came here for a quick lunch - ordered the following: double cheeseburgers, peri peri burgers, veggie samosa burger (off menu) and mango habañero wings....and EVERYTHING was fantastic!!! The double cheeseburgers were juicy, and succulent, the peri peri grilled chicken burger was tender and saucy, the wings were absolutely delicious, crisp despite the mango habañeeo sauce which had the perfect level of sweet heat. Lastly, the veggie burger - so the menu has FANTASTIC samosas, so when we asked if they had a veggie burger, they told us they can prepare a delicious burger using their veggie samosa. Imagine our skepticism, and then our utter shock, when it turned out to be the most delicious spicy, saucy samosa burger we have ever sunk our teeth in! The other day I had plans to meet a cousin. Earlier in the day, she was texting with me about this food joint which offers casual fast food staples as well as some Indian-enthused food items & pizzas. The menu was interesting and she thought why not grab some carryout for us to share. She texted photos of their menu. I was apprehensive and rightfully so, just look at their reviews which are all over. I asked that she consider them before placing an order. I'm all for trying places but if others have tried it within a short scope of your visit and their orders similar, best to have a look and consider whether to spend the $$. She ended up ordering chicken tikka and chili chicken wraps as well as a chicken tikka pizza. She was quoted a wait time of about forty-five minutes but later complained to me that it took over 70 minutes for the order. She wishes the employees would have been clearer, more transparent when quoting a "ready" time. After waiting such a long time, they decided to taste-test on the spot. Soon after sampling they decided to carry it back home. Later that day I realized why.. I had one look and one bite and that was enough. Their pizza is on par with stuff people make at home except that I couldn't detect what is "chicken tikka" about their pizza. The chicken was in tiny chunks or squares. I couldn't get a sense of flavor from the sauce which hadn't any semblance to tikka. The wraps.. I've had better on Devon. Maybe it was an off day or maybe they should stick to making Halal American fast food since it seems that is what most (of their) customers are most appreciative of. read more

We ordered phili cheese steak.. very small amount of meat and peppers were there. Their onions dint taste fresh. We also ordered wings and their hot sauce dint taste right. My husband ordered the chicken Philli cheese steak.. and there was small amount of chicken in the French roll. The food upsetted my stomach. We also ordered their pizza and rice. LOVE the burgers here, good halal burgers are such gems. The actual place is very casual, obviously not meant to be fine dining, limited but decent amount of laidback seating. What's key is that the service is always nice and friendly, and the food is what really matters, and it's great. I love that the food always tastes fresh, whether it's the fish burger or the cheeseburger or the Arabian platter, I've tried so many things on their menu and their quality is very dependable. This place is so, so reasonably priced, and I always go for the lunch special on weekdays which is amazing for the price. The wrap was okay, great flavor but definitely not chicken tikka! I would compare it more to chicken tikka masala because it was in a sauce. However the sauce was not masala. Regardless, the flavor was great and the portion was great. Expected it to be smaller based to reviews but I guess that's also relative. Shredded lettuce and onions were also in the wrap. Paratha was great too. Perfect consistency, not to oily. It held together while I devoured yet you could still see the layers! So yesterday we ordered their chicken tikka pizza and I have to give it a 5/10. They give you huge chunks of chicken which is good but it was overwhelming in terms of flavour. I would recommend they use the same amount but break it into smaller sizes and use better cheese and thicker sauce. It tasted more like chicken tikka on pita bread with thin layer of melted cheese. Attention to detail could make this a decent pizza. Otherwise I would not recommend the pizza. Based on some of the reviews I was reading, it feels like customers are coming in expecting something that this restaurant is not. It's basically your average hot dog shop with a very large menu and handful of specialty items. People shouldn't go in here expecting gourmet or top of the line cuisine. Compare it to a regular corner hot dog/hamburger shop and you'll be golden. That said, it had it's highs and lows. I was impressed by all the different things on the menu. I was hooked by the $5.50 lunch special. Couldn't beat it. Fries and and a drink come with any of the sandwich selections. I went with a spicy gyro-cheesesteak sandwich. It took about 10 minutes. Longer than I'd hoped, but it meant everything was fresh made. The fries were typical curly fries. Nothing special about them, but they were cooked well and crispy. The sandwich was smaller than I'd expected, but absolutely packed with meat, cheese, onions, mushrooms and peppers. The bun was about the size of a hot dog bun. I was expecting something about the size of a 6" sub sandwich, but this ended up being more than enough to fill me due to the density of it all. I think they could up the cleanliness factor a bit. The tables and chairs were all a bit dingy, and my tray was brought out to me extremely sticky. The food was hot, fresh and good. Nothing above average about it, but I wouldn't hesitate to come back. Just finished eating here with my mom and it was a nice surprise! I randomly found this place on google while looking for something nearby. Coming from Indiana we're not familiar with the area. It was not easy to find! Hidden almost directly behind the mobile gas station on the corner, easy to miss but glad I didn't! The guy who took our order I believe is the same one who cooked our food and everything was delicious! I ordered a spicy gyro and my mom got the chicken tikka paratha wrap that was super flavorful. The gyro was nice and meaty, no small scraps. We also got a chicken biryani to go and their portions are very generous! Chicken is clean cut, not fatty with bones, and FRESH!! As far as looks go it could use a little cleaning up -(Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because it was a little hard to find, perhaps a bigger sign would help and the inside could be a little more tidy. ) But talk about a hole in the wall with awesome authentic flavors! Location: Small strip mall behind Citgo. Small restaurant that's clean. Pizza: Pizza is awesome! I've tried the cheese pizza (good), chicken tikka pizza (great), and the gryo pizza (awesome). Rolls: Tried the grilled and chilli chicken rolls and both were good but be warned- this is a deis-owned place but the rolls are purely American style (other than the masala on the chilli chicken/chicken tikka itself). I went searching for East N West but realized they were replaced with these guys. This was my first time here and I was extremely impressed with their quality. I had the gyro cheeseburger w/fries meal. The burger meat was extremely tender and juicy, sandwiched inside a pretzel bun. This is honestly the best burger i've had in the Lombard/Villa Park area (better than the old East n west burger, dare I say). The fries were crispy and moderately seasoned with a masala taste. Everything they make here is fresh (meaning doesn't taste old) and the prices are very reasonable. Well where can I start. Well on a positive note I KNOW that the owners are trying to make this a success so I hope they take this advise 1. This is not a place where they specialize in one type of food. The cook many things mediocre instead of focusing one one type of food and doing it well. 2. They make a lot of their business from catering 3. Their competition has them beat. Mr. Broast from down the street is very slightly more expensive but specializes in fast food only and does it if say about 5X better for the price. I've had far better halal burgers before. Just because a lot of the customers are Muslim like me doesn't mean we don't know what good proper American burger meat should tastes like. I really think they could still do better for the price they charge My biggest advise to the owner: shrink the menu focus one one type of food and do it well, focus on customer service, cook everything fresh make everything in house. That might cost you money at first but will be worth it. Lastly, please hire better, more educated employees, the current staff aren't kind and can't really communicate properly. read more
