Salmon don and sushi roll
Adam H.

Good spot for sushi in corpus! Staff is very attentive and friendly as well. This spot has a cozy ambiance and good tasting sushi/sashimi with an emphasis on the dish presentation. It is however on the pricier side. The salmon don in the photo below was 23-26 dollars and likely wouldn't fill majority of people up. Aside from that- it's a great place!

Oolong tea

Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: Clean, cool AC, japanese furniture, and they play old slow music from 1930. Very romantic. Came here for 2nd anniversary Overall 10/10

If you are curious about Yoshi, then you must stop by. It's definitely a hidden gem in Corpus. It's well-known to the locals as having some of the best sushi in town and i must say, I agree. This wasn't my first trip here so I'll try to include my past experiences. The staff has always been very friendly and generous, even during Covid times. They provide sanitizer when you enter, take your temperature, and are limited capacity; which is comforting with recent government changes. I've had their chicken teriyaki, yakisoba noddles and chicken, various rolls, fried and stemmed rice and it's all been very fresh and savory. There are times you go eater other restaurants and the meat is chewy or tastes old, but not here. It's always been very tender and fresh. It's seasoned very well. Even the veggies are a must try because they are well cooked and makes you wanting more. Lol! All their rolls are exceptional, from raw to cooked, I can't complain. Even when co-workers order a roll from here they know they are so delicious, they always share. The offer Chinese and Japanese entrees and both selections are amazing. Well you are at it, don't forget to try the their Saki, it's also a nice refresher. This place already has stellar reviews so take our word for it and check them out. Enjoy an amazing pallet experience!

I visited this incredible restaurant a few times and each time they have been amazingly consistent. We have tried a variety of Asian dishes and sushi rolls. The service is outstanding. The sushi chefs and the back kitchen staff make food within a reasonable timeframe and the presentation is perfection. The restaurant itself doesn't appear to be much by the outside and location but it is very clean and the devote is welcoming. They have a full bar to the left side of the restaurant and a sushi bar on the right part of the dining space. Do not miss this!!! Delicious gem.

On my short visit to Corpus I checked out this place, I wasn't sure what to expect tbh. This is one of my friends recommended sushi places, plus it's really close to her home. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go inside with everything that's going on so I ordered carry out. Spicy Calamari: I loved the flavor! The onions and jalapeños gave it a nice kick. If you like spicy food this calamari is highly recommended. The sauce came in it's own container which I thought was great idea! I wouldn't like my calamari to be soggy. The reason I gave it 4 stars was because the calamari was really chewy. The flavor was there but the calamari wasn't soft or tender. Sushi Roll: Holy cows! Talk about flavor! This roll had a ton of flavor with all the sauces on top. It wasn't overly cooked and it's so filling. Smoked salmon and eel sauce are a great combo!

Great place, lots and lots of options for sushi and cuisine. Great staff with good recommendations. Def pay attention to spice level, things can get out of hand fast... seriously if it says spicy, it means spicy... real spicy. Flavors are great place will def be back!

Stopped in for lunch. Really dark in entryway when you walk in. Not really bright inside but adds to the ambience. No one to seat me initially but was seated and drink order taken. Metal utensils, paper napkins. White ceramic plates. No music playing inside but there is a TV but I sat on a side where I could not see it. Ordered Mongolian Beef. Would have liked a Bento Box but did not see it on the menu. Food came out quickly. I'm not a big fan of Miso Soup but theirs is quite good. Mongolian Beef was OK, not the best I have had but ok. P F Changs has much better Mongolian Beef. Overall an ok place . Did not try the rolls or Sushi so can't comment on them.

We popped in at lunch time and were sat straight away and provided both the lunch specials as well as the regular menu, both of which you can order from. We opted for the shin ramen and pork belly, both of which came out in a flash! The shin ramen is marketed as spicy, and while it was, I could have enjoyed it with even more heat. That did not take away from the flavor though, and the generous portion of dumplings, chicken, and an egg ensured I remained full to even beyond dinner time! The broth had a good depth to it and the noodles were cooked just right. As for the pork belly, wow! I highly recommend trying it out. Somewhat "light" it feels fresh yet filling all at once. The portion is huge, so sharing between two would be a full meal for each. The menu has such a wide variety to appease any flavor palette - from sushi to filet mignon, vegetarian to gluten free, there is something for everyone. I would love to return during dinner to try out even more options, as well as the craft cocktails, all of which look delicious!

We went on a Friday night without reservations, which felt like a gamble, but the off season timing and bad weather worked in our favor. We ended up grabbing two open seats at the sushi bar, which turned out to be the best spot in the house. Our waitress, Kaylee, was great. Friendly, attentive, and she knew the menu well. Drinks stayed full, food came out at a good pace, and she never interrupted the flow of our conversation. We started with a couple of hot apps. The pork gyoza, steamed and pan seared, was solid. But the torched wagyu stole the show. That's the kind of dish you think about later and fantasize about having again. Sitting at the bar made the experience. CJ was the sushi chef working in front of us and he brought a lot of positive energy to the night. He checked in with us, shared a few samples of rolls he was working on, and clearly enjoys what he does. It added a lot to the experience. We ordered the Stevie Ray, Rainbow Roll, Don't Fear the Reaper, and the Prodigy. Every roll was excellent. The Rainbow Roll is one of my favorite classic rolls. It's always been my go to at any sushi spot as it's simple and clean, which makes it a good test of quality, and this was one of the best I've had. The space looks great inside and has a solid atmosphere. The menu has a lot of great options, the rock and roll theme to the menu is fun, and the service continues to stand out. We'll be back. If you can grab a seat at the sushi bar when CJ is working, do it.
