It felt like it was really lacking in flavor and was not the thick noodle you'd normally see with drunken noodle or pad key mao. I've had drunken noodle at many places both in Texas and at least 2 other states. I can honestly say that this is the worst drunken noodle I've had. Love a mom & pop thai place. My coworker LOVED his meal (spicy basil beef), however I kept with the classic drunken noodle. However, I was not personally very fond of them. I'm a bit picky with noodle dishes so it's just my opinion! Locals love this place. I would reccomend for a quick to-go dinner. read more

Wife ordered sweet and sour chicken, I ordered Teriyaki steak and we both thought our dishes were OK. Not great, certainly not bad. For her, the smaller pieces of chicken were very hard to bite through the fried batter and for me, the smaller pieces of beef became quite chewy though for both, the larger pieces were tender and juicy. But what was even better was the customer service that will bring me back, the two guy employees and I didn't get their names were so sweet. Customer service means a lot and they were just so kind. Service was great here. I sat at the bar and if the bartender was busy, a server would ensure I was not waiting for a refill. The staff is friendly and warm. Food was very good too. I came here for lunch. Plates are about $9 during lunch but are decent servings and come with soup. If you're a garlic lover then I suggest the garlic basil stir fry. I had it with chicken and it was not incredibly heavy but left me feeling perfectly filled and satisfied. There are a few reasons why this place is not getting a higher rating. First, the menu is limited and does not offer an incredibly large variety of dishes like I would expect. Second, I had to pay an extra $1.95 for steamed brown rice--I think that was not only a little excessive but really just unnecessary. Third, I'm sitting at the bar and the bar is a mess--incredibly cluttered bar top and the back bar looks like a war zone; not what I wanna see when eating. Fourth and last, if you're going to charge be almost two bucks for brown rice and subject substitutions to ridiculous surcharges, put the money to some damn wifi in here; it's the 21st century! While enjoying one of our favorite restaurants in the Coastal Bend, Rock and Rolls Sushi, we had the opportunity to speak with the chef and owner, David Lee. The guy LOVES to talk food and shared with us that we had to go check out Drunkn'Noodlez. He explained that "Mama K" would hook us up with something spicy hot and delicious. Well, you can't get a more solid referral than from a chef, right? There are heat options when selecting your food and we went with "native" for our Chicken Panang Red Curry. HOT! Not enough to kill the flavor, but enough to give you hiccups and a drippy nose. The coconut conveys in each bite and the spices combine to give the dish a depth and richness you don't often find. If you're accustomed to soft veggies, open your mind - veggies are cooked al dente. Fresh flavors and a delight to the senses. But really, the sauce is what makes this dish epic! This might be the only place in town actually using kafiri lime leaves and true galanga root. You just don't get more authentic than that! While we would love to keep the blog about the dish (because really, the dish was amazing!), we were surprised by what we found when we stumbled inside the restaurant. The ambiance was not what you expect - it had a more upscale feel than the kitschy font and name would lead you to believe.
