ummm yeah this place completely missed the mark for me. I don't know if it was an off day for the kitchen because the yelp photos and reviews are really great :/ The seat was dirty when we got to our table and had to ask them to wipe it, also our server kept forgetting to bring us plates and bowls AB-BA roll - YALL this was $17 DOLLARS.... im not even kidding this was not worth the price and not justified. All that was in there was tuna salmon avaocado cream cheese... AND the sushi rolls were cut so unevenly there were big pieces and super thinly cute pieces. They are straight up freestyling in the kitchen Drunken Noodles + Tofu - this one was my favorite but the were barely any noodles. the tofu was good and crispy. Also there was so much veggies on top, seemed like they were skimping out on the noodles by putting veggies on top to cover it up Red Curry + Chicken - I ain't ever seen a curry this watery LOL the flavor was good though. The rice on the side was so mushy. I will not come back ever literally on the ride back home all we talked about how expensive that single sushi roll was lol and how they skimped out on ingredients.

Sith Roll (top) and Southside Roll

Always good to have yet another great option for sushi on the Southside of town. They're in a great location, with an exceptionally clean and "hip-looking" dining room. We started off with some edamame. It came quickly, piping hot and well seasoned. We then ordered the Sith Roll and the Southside Roll. It came beautifully presented on an elongated plate. Always love the plating (pride); these sushi chefs take great care to make sure it looks just so. The Southside Roll was fresh and bright with shrimp tempura, avocado and cucumber, with the smoked salmon and sauces on top. Quite tasty. The Sith Roll was equally flavorful. The "pile of seafood" on top was truly that - a bountiful representation of shrimp, crawfish, scallops... Some of the seafood seemed a little overcooked but the flavors were definitely there. Service is WAY above par. We were seated, orders taken, and checked on often, all with warm smiles and attention to everything we needed. Prices are on par with several other sushi bars. We look forward to coming back.

Our first time here was extremely pleasant! The ambience was perfect, very clean and our waitress was so sweet and attentive and recommended the Delores roll and it was better than any other still I've chosen myself, she knew the menu well and we enjoyed all the food we tried. The menu has a good variety for families with people that don't like sushi. We will definitely be back!

From the outside, this place didn't look like much but once you step in the door you will be pleasantly surprised. The cuisine is Thai, Chinese, and Sushi. Usually, when places try to do an Asian fusion it doesn't work, this place is an exception to that rule. The sushi was fresh and the pan woonset was delightful.

Staff and customers taking sake bombs on shift while chanting like in a frat house. "When I say sake, you say bomb"
    Jordan M.

I would like to start off by saying the food is delicious. The rolls are large and flavorful. This would become my new favorite sushi place, however the service was awful and the atmosphere was unwelcoming. It seemed like everyone who walked in would talk to the staff, and tables were left unattended. It gave me a weird vibe, kind of like showing up to a party you were clearly not invited too. The level of professionalism in the waitstaff was horrendous. I ordered wine, and never got it. Instead of our server owning up to it she stated "well looks like that other waitress forgot your wine". Only, she was the one that took the order. Waters were slow to be refilled and the seating and server assignment was awkward. I think what threw me over the edge to "I don't care how good the food is, I won't be back" mindset, is when I watched the staff and a few customers take sake bombs in the dining area, in a pretty disruptive fashion to other guests. Literally were yelling "when I say sake you say bomb. SAKE! BOMB!" I wish yelp would allow me to post the video of the experience. Anyway, if you're okay with having dinner in a frat house type environment, cool. But definitely not for everyone, including myself.

New restaurant in town from what we were told. All NEW furnishings & interior. Very open & welcoming. We were travelling for vacation & decided to try it out. The table ordered the edamame beans & stuffed avocadoes for an app, & while the beans were fine, the stuffed avocadoes tasted "off". The table didnt even finish the plate. For dinner my kids had the teriyaki chicken and fries rice, my mother had seared steak hibachi, and my spouse & I split a Wild Bill & a Sith roll. The Wild Bill was quite good, but the Sith roll was hardly edible. The seafood had a very fishy taste and about 15 minutes after eating I felt sick. It was a shame too, because the presentation was awesome (see photos) The server we had was so great and even after my youngest spilled his drink she was SO helpful to help us clean up and get him a new drink. All in All, it was a cool little place, still think they are working out the kinks. For all 5 of us to eat, it was $111.56 before tip, so average per person is $22.31. In my opinion, a little steep for the quality, but we've had worse sushi for much more expense. Do try the Wild Bill. Steer clear of the Sith Roll(no likey)

Chicken Teriyaki with Fried Rice & Vegetables

Ordered chicken Teriyaki. The chicken was very dry. The vegetables were over cooked. The fried rice was good. Ordered from here previously, I enjoyed it then. Today was not a great meal.

This place says it closes at 930pm and I go inside and the girl tells me they stop taking orders at 830. Why say 930 then?

On the occasions I've gone in, the restaurant has always appeared clean and well kept. Customer service can be a little hit or miss, which matches what some other reviewers have mentioned. I've had visits where the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and others where I was simply stared at while waiting to order without so much as a greeting. It hasn't been bad enough to keep me away, but it's noticeable. The food is why I keep coming back. The bánh mì sandwiches are excellent, especially the short rib version. My wife is obsessed with the green onion pancake, and I wish I knew the recipe for the dipping sauce they serve with it. The pork belly steamed buns are absolutely worth ordering, and the crispy pork belly rice is still my favorite dish on the menu. The rich pork belly, fried rice, fresh salad, and vinaigrette all work really well together. If you haven't been, it's worth a visit. Try a few different dishes and you'll probably find a favorite of your own.

This our go to sushi restaurant in Corpus…read more I'm a huge critic when it comes to tempura, but theirs is perfect and even when we order for takeout, by the time we get home it still has a crunch. I usually get the Chirashi and it's the perfect amount and for the price I think it's justified. I will say though... they seem to get my husband's order wrong almost always. It's very rare they get it right and when they do, we have no problem, but when they don't... it gets kind of annoying especially when the waiter(s) repeat the order to us. He usually orders two rolls which are the Crazy Texan (spicy tuna, avocado, pickled burdock root, cucumber topped with tuna, with tuna, jalapeños, fried onions, and hot oil) and the Spicy Tuna Rainbow (spicy tuna topped with various fish). For some reason when our food gets to our table, the Crazy Texan is correct, but he always gets the Rainbow Roll instead of the Spicy Tuna Rainbow... or one time he was given just a Spicy Tuna Roll. Then we have to go through a whole debacle or calling our waiter over and having them fix this mistake. Not sure if it's a miscommunication between the waiters and the sushi chefs, but I think maybe having a paper trail would help with this problem since we noticed they almost never write down our order and just try to memorize it. Although the minor mishaps, we still return because it's one of the better places for sushi in this town full of chain restaurants.

We sat down and ordered tea, which was served in the cutest little jug and tea cups on the side. Along with some edamame, which was normal. The spicy mayo was great here, but I will say the eel sauce needs some work! It tasted too sweet, not a good add on for sushi. We both got the cc crunch and that was GREAT! Sushi had a great crunch and tasted really fresh. I love the deep fried cream cheese rolls. Our server was awesome. She overheard it was my friend's birthday and she brought us mochi dessert with a happy birthday label on it and even grabbed a candle for her. It was really thoughtful. The food and service was great here. We'd return again!
