I was convinced after he nailed a 6 penny nail into a piece of wood, or at least tried to, that this product was nearly bulletproof. The glass appears to be just short of Armorlite. The windows were installed Friday 4/10 and it was a pleasant experience, if that's possible with contractors coming to the house. They were very fussy about their work and patient with my watching and questions etc. I've had many contractors come to the house from painting and landscape, carpenters etc. The window installers are now at the top of my list. I will live with these windows for awhile and post another review after the summer heat and evaluate their energy efficiency. By the way they are nearly soundproof as I live on a busy road and that was another issue that sold me as well.

It wasn't a hard decision to make when I compared the other options I've seen during that time. I also looked up the reviews/ratings for the windows/door brand and the company. Richard also provided references of satisfied customers in my area, which I found it very helpful and transparent. The window depot has great Google reviews, as a Yelpie, I wanted to spread the word and be their first review on Yelp because I highly recommend them! They offered financing options which was a plus to proceed with the home improvement project. The cost was also reasonable. They replaced /installed my front windows and patio door. I was highly impressed with how efficient and phenomenally professional the installation was. Dave also came to do an inspection as the final step of the installation process. He brought me this thank you gift box with some goodies inside. Dave also assisted with registering my windows/ patio door for the warranty. The communication was excellent with Richard from day one, he was very responsive with phone calls /text messages/ emails. I'm more than pleased with the service, final product and strongly believe I made the right decision and will definitely consider them in the future for additional window replacements or door installation. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Window Nation…read more I had a representative come to my home to provide a quote for 8 windows. After the appointment, I decided to take a few days to do my due diligence and gather a couple of additional quotes before making a decision. Three days later, I received an email from the Sales Manager, Richard Hansen, with a revised quote. Surprisingly, the new price was significantly lower than the original quote, but it was for 11 windows instead of the 8 I actually needed. Since the pricing was much more competitive, I reached back out and simply asked for the same pricing to be adjusted for the 8 windows I wanted to purchase. Richard responded that the lower price had been sent in error due to a "system glitch" and that Window Nation would not honor it. Mistakes can happen, but what was most disappointing was the company's unwillingness to stand behind the quote they sent or make any effort to find a reasonable solution. As a customer who was genuinely interested in moving forward, it left me feeling that the pricing was inconsistent and that customer satisfaction wasn't a priority. I expected better communication and better customer service from a company of this size. Unfortunately, this experience has caused me to take my business elsewhere.

I was pleasantly surprised by the low-pressure sales approach, which differed from other reviews…read moreI'd seen. The pre-installation process was straightforward and very helpful, giving me a clear understanding of what to expect. Unfortunately, installation day brought several complications. A team of three began installing 16 windows, but just 15 minutes in, one technician badly twisted an ankle and had to leave. The remaining two proceeded to remove all windows on a scorching 90+ degree day before starting replacements, turning my home into an uncomfortably hot and humid environment. While they finished the installation that day, it was an incredibly long shift, from just before 10 AM until 9 PM, requiring my continuous supervision. I noted that a drop cloth was only used for the very first window, which helped with the mess initially but wasn't continued. Another issue was the window color. I had specified a tan/wicker exterior with a white interior, but received entirely white windows. To avoid a 6-8 week delay and a $350 rescheduling fee, I accepted them. They do look good, and the white exterior matches my previous windows, so I'm not overly concerned about this. My primary outstanding concern is a gutter downspout that was removed during installation and never reinstalled. Despite multiple calls (three to the install team, two to the service team), I haven't received any communication or action to rectify this. This lack of follow-up so soon after installation makes me question the reliability of their warranty service.
