Nice massage, convenient location. I was in this plaza to get a dental filling repaired a few weeks ago. Not my favorite thing to go to the dentist so after my appointment, I sat in my car and thought, "It'd be nice to get a massage right now." Called Yotsuba but it turns out they were closed that day. A few days later, got a text from Yotsuba apologizing that they weren't able to answer my call and that if I was still interested in a massage, I could contact them. Turns out I was able to schedule an appointment just texting back and forth, which was very convenient. Massages are done by a married couple, Teo and Tina. Facility is quiet though it does make me nervous when I hear the phone ringing. If the only masseuses are giving massages, who will answer the phones? I'm guessing it will just go to voicemail and they can call back later but it would be more relaxing if they would just turn off the ringer completely so our massage isn't interrupted. I was also kind of concerned if someone walked in to inquire about a massage. Guess I'm a little more comfortable with massages where they have a receptionist up front who will greet customers, instead of masseuses having to do both. Got a full body massage by the husband, Teo. It was a good massage, very relaxing. Teo knows what he is doing and is very skillful. Just be aware they count your changing time as part of your massage, so it's better to get there earlier so you can have a complete hour. I went in at 11:40am for my 11:45am massage but ended up chatting with Teo and taking my time getting changed. When the massage ended promptly at 12:45pm, it seemed shorter than normal, probably because it hadn't started till closer to 12:55pm. So note to self: go earlier for your appointment. Also, bring cash. You'll get a $5 discount. And bringing in friends gets you a discount too. :) read more

Worst massage!! I've had hundreds of massages. Several at this location It seems it is under new management. Horrible massage. Yes the massage itself was awful but all the interruptions made it even worse. She answered the phone in the room while she was massaging me. Left to go to the front, was talking to someone that came to the curtain a few times while giving me a massage. I had a tablecloth like cover that didn't even cover my feet. I had to ask her to stop a technique she kept doing over and over again. Not relaxing at all. Wish I had gotten up in the first 10" when I knew things didn't seem right. Cannot recommend this place. I went in about 5 minutes prior to my prepaid and scheduled appointment only to find out that the masseuse had just taken a random walk-in customer in my place and was in a room working already. A different man who was there, presumably her boyfriend, said that she may have mistaken that person as her appointment. The masseuse asked the "walk-in" if he had an appointment and if his wife had prepaid for it. He replied with a simple yes to her simple questions. These are simple open ended unsecured questions that were answered dishonestly. This guy basically stole my appointment. So, she came out and placed me in a room. I assumed then she was asking this other client to vacate due to the mistake. No, that didn't happen until I came back out around 7 minutes later complaining about how unpleasant this was, and how very warm and uncomfortable it was inside the building, she turned on the A/C. At 5:20 pm, I had enough of this poor handling and asked for my money back which was granted. The other client knew he had created a fiasco and left immediately upon hearing my complaints. This review has been a long time coming but I am absolutely obsessed with this place! The owners are both so fantastic and friendly. I've been coming to this hidden gem in Rocklin for over a year now and even after moving out to downtown Sac I make time to come see Teo. He is delightful! Always smiling and very professional and respectful. He is very attentive and an incredible masseuse. I've been to quite a few massage therapists and he is by far my favorite. I haven't had a massage done by his wife, Tina but my boyfriend has and he raved about her. If I could I'd come see Teo every week! Just One word. I love this place !!! I have tried a lot of other places, but Tina is the best! Now I do not want to go other places any more. She is very thorough and professional in what she does during entire 2 hr massage session. I am an acupuncturist and my body needs professional touch to recover. I have been suffering from left shoulder pain for months which was not relieved entirely with chiropractic adjustment. After I saw Tina twice, it was gone. I do appreciate her hard work. Hands down (pun intended) the best massage I have ever had! I went in today after completing a 50 hour fitness teacher training program this week and my muscles were on fire! I was desperate for relief from the pain of over exercising my body day after day, and thanks to TEO I got the relief I was looking for. I was pleasantly surprised by his level of knowledge and understanding of the spine and muscular system. As he went through each aspect of my body he utilized trigger points and active release therapy, it was amazing! The 90 minute massage was only $75 (you will definitely want to leave Teo a tip as well) which is a steal for a massage that was twice as good as ones that I've paid double for in the past. The staff is friendly, however the massage experience was not good. I came because of the great reviews I saw on yelp. Unfortunately I had a terrible experience and will not be coming back. To start the massage bed was hard and not comfortable, I have a cheap massage table from amazon and it is much better than this.. Second, the pillow to put you face on was covered with two small pieces of rough cheap paper towels instead of actual massage covers. Imagine your face rubbing against that for 90 minutes! It hurt and irritated my face. I marked I had pain on my neck and upper shoulder area upon check in but told the guy at the front that it hurt all over I wanted a full body 90 minute massage. The lady spent more than half the time just sliding her elbow on my upper back between my shoulder blades, not on my actual shoulders or neck! I wanted to get up and leave because that is not a massage, anyone can do that. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt and see if it would get better. But it didn't, it was a mediocre massage to say the least. She skipped my lower back, I had to bring that up. She just kinda gently massaged my legs (I asked for deep tissue and thai). I asked no oil on my hair since I had just washed it, she ended up getting lotion on it and scratching my scalp roughly not massaging! At the end of the massage you get a super tiny cup of water.. no tea no bottle water not even a regular cup lol. I was pissed I wasted 90 minutes on such a subpar massage. If they want to do low quality massages and offer low quality basic things for their customers, they should really consider lowering their prices to match what they offer at the very least. Paper towels.. really? Expect the tiny paper towels to move around and leave your face exposed to the uncovered face pillow. So unsanitary... read more

My daughter and I will be coming back. We had a wonderful foot reflexology massage by Teo. It also i cluded a scalp, arm and neck massage. I'm not sure the lady's name that massaged my daughter. We both left feeling so relaxed. The room was very relaxing. The towels smelled fresh, not lime bleach. Next time I'll ask for a pillow to go inder my back. Great massage! My husband and I booked a couple's massage (the Thai one that incorporates stretches) and afterward felt SO relaxed and loose! This owner husband and wife duo really know what they're doing- they listened to what areas we said were bothering us and worked on those specific areas in a methodical and pain-free manner for an entire hour. I have nothing to say but great things about the owners! I was having terrible back pains from WFH and was really in need for a massage. This was during early covid times and I called multiple places and they were closed. At first I didn't get a respond either from here but the owner texted me back! They were actually temporarily closed as well but because she saw how much I needed one, her and her husband decided to come in just for me and my partner (he decided to join). And wow the massage was great!! We felt soooo much better after. But their customer service was stellar! I wanted to cry when she said she would see us that's how badly I needed one lol. Oh and did I mention their price are affordable as well?? I feel like other massage places charge an arm or a leg for a measly 1 hour massage with nothing special. If it wasnt because I live in socal I would have seen them biweekly. If you live up here go to them!! Trust me. My partner and I went in for a couples massage for his birthday . I had some criteria for the massage place that I was going to choose (on our way home from our weekend away trip, step up from a foot massage parlor, good reviews, and decent pricing). That's when I ran across Yotsuba Massage. I made an appointment for a 90 min Asian massage. We were running about 8 mins late so I gave them a call and they said it was ok and to come as soon as we could. When we got there the 2 masseurs were waiting for us at the front desk, they greeted us and had us fill out a form which we marked which areas they would like for us to concentrate on. Overall, the missing 3 stars are because we were left unsatisfied with the massage. My partner did not feel relaxed after his massage (we've been to several massage places for comparison). I was more defensive, and told my partner that I felt great in the moment. However, waking up today (next day after the massage) my neck muscles are hurting and I'm in more pain than I started with. I want to add that the 2 stars are for the customer service, kindness, and cleanliness (they wore masks the for the entire massage). **Update: changed my 2 star review to a 1 (0 if I could). As you can see the owner is accusing my husband of asking the masseuse to massage his Anus(??????) I was shocked to hear what he had to say for writing that reply to my comment so I called him an he was extremely disrespectful and continued to stand his ground. I have had some excellent masseuses in the past. One of my favorite all time knew where to find every single knot and was very versed the the anatomy. I never thought anyone would even come close to providing as professional and thorough massage as I would received from her. Well I have to say that Tina is as good as it gets too! Teo has an uncanny ability to read the body, sense where trouble spots are, and deliver the perfect therapy. He applies just the right amount of pressure.
