So you may ask, why am I still giving Toppino five stars? This rating is for Dr. Burry. When I finally got my dad seen by Dr. Burry, he took my elderly dad's injury very seriously. He dedicated the next consecutive five days to seeing him and taking care of the injury. At first he said there was a chance that his vision was gone for good, but after multiple visits and lots of home care instructions followed, little by little my dad's vision came back. I can't recommend Dr. Burry enough if you find yourself or a loved one with an unexpected eye emergency.

The lady was so nice, her name is Miss Cohen she is one of the optometrist here at the eye place. I had my eyes checked and my eyes actually went from an eight to a six; which I guess is an improvement from my current standards. I picked out three pairs of glasses. One for work, one for play, and a new pair of sunglasses. I've never heard of the Costa brand of sunglasses - what I really liked is one of the male eye employees told me that the nose pads get sticky when you sweat so they don't slip off your face which I loved because I work outside currently. We took him to Southwest Orlando Eye Care and Dr. Marx and Dr. Nevada, along with their team, were awesome. They prescribed several eye drops, eye shield, and suggested some preventative care. We had to make 4 different visits (all worth the trips) while in Orlando so they could monitor the eye and ensure it did not get worse and was healing properly. They were very thorough and communicated with our player's eye doctor back in KY. If you you are in Orlando, and have an eye issue (which I hope you don't), I would highly recommend Dr. Marx and Dr. Nevada and their team at Southwest Orlando Eye Care! 5 !

Yet when I arrived, they couldn't find my insurance in their system. After unnecessary back-and-forth, they eventually located it -- something that should have been handled before I walked in the door. It only got worse from there. Once they realized I needed a full eye evaluation and assessment of my scleral lenses, they informed me I had been scheduled with the wrong doctor. My options were to either wait another hour or reschedule entirely. Since I had already driven an hour each way, I agreed to wait. Then I was told the doctor only spends 20 minutes per patient -- and that if I actually needed scleral lens fitting or proper evaluation, I would have to come back on another day. At that point it became very clear: their priority was protecting the doctor's schedule, not providing patient-centered care. There was zero ownership of the scheduling mistake, zero attempt to accommodate the situation meaningfully, and no concern for the fact that I had invested two hours of driving time. Healthcare is supposed to be about patients. Instead, I felt like an inconvenience to their calendar. This was a complete waste of my time. If you value efficiency, professionalism, and being treated like a patient rather than a scheduling problem, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
