I just visited Eye Glass World and paid $110 for exam and $350 for 2 pair of glasses. Got anti scratch coating, anti glare, name brand frames which will be ready Monday. What prompted me to do review was that I spent $882 for exam and 1 pair of glasses. Also took 7 to 10 days to get. The doctor and staff were great and wait times were minimal but I don't recommend buying eye glasses there. read more

I absolutely love that this location is opened on Saturdays. Its a bonus for me to not have to take time off of work during the week for an eye examination. The location is newly remodeled, super cute and trendy inside. The staff is always friendly and I appreciate the time they take to explain all their tests and processes. They really go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and informed. As for Dr. Coan, she is awesome. She comes in a room with her big smile and her upbeat personality makes it go by fast and fun in its own way. It's always a good experience when I go and the prices they offer for contracts is right up my alley. read more

Well let's start at the beginning. I thought since I checked this place and it had decent reviews it would be good. We'll I had a bad experience. I had my exam and waited 2 weeks for my glasses. When I went in to pick them up I told them the trifocal just wasn't right. They said that I needed toget use to them because of the change. They also told me that I would have to wear my old glasses for the computer. Well I tried and gave it a few days. It didn't improve. Now mind you I paid over 300 dollars for them. I went back and they tried to say it was just me. Well I told them I paid that much for a pair of glasses I couldn't even wear. Well I managed to get them to fix their issue and they said that it would be 2 weeks and they would back in. Well it took them almost 4 weeks to get them to me. They still aren't that good but I was afraid to say anything. I didn't want to deal with the stress. I would NOT recommend them to anyone with the service I received. I definitely won't be going back. I paid that much for a pair of glasses that really I can't wear. I am so frustrated with them. Now I am going to have to go to another eye doctor and try and get another pair of glasses. read more

Disappointed. We've used Coan previously and had a good experience. Not this time. Scheduled appointments for wife and I earlier in the week for Saturday morning. Walked in and was referred to check in at kiosk in lobby. Couldn't find our names so it prompted us to check in by inputting our names, then wanted to scan DL and insurance card but didn't work. No one around to ask for assistance, just left to fend for yourself. Very flawed system. After we muddled through that 10 plus minutes we waited in line at front again to tell them our names were not in the check in for her to tell us we scheduled the appointments next Saturday. I told her there is no way our appointments were scheduled for the following week as we will be out of town. No apology, no attempts to get us in today, nothing. Just a blank stare. What has happened to customer service? They clearly made the mistake, own it. Had we not been flying out of town (had tickets since March), I would say "maybe we did". But in this instance, there is zero chance. read more

The staff is very accommodating, friendly, and thorough. I've been wearing contacts and glasses all my life. The least I can do is wear the most stylish ones I can find. They have lots of designer frames in the latest styles. They are closed on Mondays but are open on Saturdays - very convenient!! read more

Her thorough, caring, and scientific approach made an immediate improvement to my eye comfort and vision, and made me feel that I had the option of wearing contacts for years to come. If I could give this place a ZERO I would !! No one answers the phones. Long wait times , no customer service when you walk in just directed to a kiosk and getting blank stares as no one tries to help you. Couldn't look at glasses due to them being locked up. I was waiting for the doctor for over 2 hours !!! The doctors are horrible and only care about taking your money. Trying to sell me things I don't need. The employees lack customer service and clearly don't know how to charge patients correctly. I got a call a couple days later that I have a balance on my account due to the lady not taking my co pay correctly. No apologies just give me money. I would rather go to Florida eye clinic than this burn down place. read more

Normally this place is great, but my last experience was not very good. I had my exam and the doctor was great and the in office experience was good. I had the order new glasses on 7/5 and here it is a month later and still no glasses. I have called twice and gotten two different stories with any luck. Maybe they'll be in by the middle of next week. Apparently nobody has to work anymore and nobody needs their their glasses. read more

It is sad what this place has become. We have been coming here for years. We had to check ourselves in and scan our own docs and could never figure out the scanners. Watched other customers struggle as well. Completely impersonal experience. Zero customer service. Couldn't find our appt and turns out the girl scheduled for the wrong day (we've had a scheduled trip for months so I know we wouldn't have scheduled that date). The girl at desk would barely look at us and zero attempt to help keep us as patients. We just told her to cancel all of our family appts and we will go elsewhere - preferably where customer service exists. What a shame. A once great practice has become nothing more than a money making machine. read more

The most important part of seeing an eye doctor is the quality of care--and Coan absolutely has that. The assistant that did my initial assessment was friendly, thorough, and kind. The doctor I was was nice as well, and was eager to find the best and most practical fit for me. The woman who helped me find the right frames for my face seemed bored with her job, but she was pleasant. But there were a few things about Coan that I was put off by. Most notably, the extremely long wait that I had to see a doctor. My appointment was at 8:30, and I wasn't taken in back until 9:15. Then was waiting for the doctor, then waiting for someone who could assist me with trying on glasses (because they are all locked in place), then waiting to have someone check me out. All in all I didn't leave the office until past 11:00, for a very standard appointment, where I was only getting a new script for glasses and placing an order. Overall, good service, but given that this long wait time is a consistent theme in reviews, I'll be finding somewhere else to go for my eye care needs. read more

I've been a customer since 2011, i wear contacts as well as frame glasses with pretty heavy prescription. I am very happy with my experience here, had 2 pairs of glasses done here, the second time with new frame, which caused some dizziness due to the way it sits on my face. After I talked with their staff, Victor made an adjustment, ordered me new lens, and made a huge difference. They have the best customer service in my experience. I can only give Coan Eye Care a three star rating at the moment because the experience I had on my first visit was not the best.... but not the worst either. My regular eye doctor had detected a higher pressure in my eyes an wanted me to come see this Doctor since he has equipment that can see if I am having trouble with Glaucoma or not. My doctor made the appointment for me and they just told me when to show up. My first appointment was on a day I could not be there on time because I already had an appointment after work with another doctor so they called me back again and told me it would be the following week at the same time. That was fine... until the first appointment day arrived... and they texted me saying they would see me for my appointment on the day I said I could not come. I called and they said they did not have any 2nd appointment for me and could I still come today? I had to talk with my boss about leaving early from work to get there on time. Once I arrived, the staff was all very nice. I only waited about 3 or 4 min before they called me in the back I believe a nice man named Alex took care of me. He explained the tests they were going to do and gave them to me in a nice professional way. About 45 min had passed and Alex put me into the exam room where I was to meet the doctor for my exam with him. Then I sat there waiting... in this hot stuffy room... for almost an hour. I finally had to leave to be at my next doctor in time and walked out of the back area and spoke to the front desk girl . I said I had to leave and when she asked about my paperwork, I explained to her that I never saw that doctor after an hour and 45 min of tests and waiting. One other girl ran in the back and came out saying the doctor would be with me in less than 5 min. I said to her that my time is just as valuable as his time and I had to leave for my next appointment. I asked what I had to pay for this visit and they said that the doctor waved the co pay. I left in a upset mood. What started out as a good visit turned into being ignored. A few days later, I got an email asking for my feedback of my visit as well as a link to their web site to schedule another visit. I did go in and give feed back AND requested another visit. After almost 3 weeks, I did not hear from them. When I finally went back to my regular eye doctor, she asked if I had gone since she has not seen any reports from them about me. I explained what happened... she was totally upset for me... and by the next day, Victor from Coan called to apologize about everything and asked for me to call back and arrange a new appointment to finish my exam. That was 2 weeks ago and I am still not sure I want to go back. I guess I should let them finish but I just don't know.... So I want to give them a better review but can't just now. Maybe if I do go back and see how it goes, I will edit this review and/or add to it. Again, the staff was super friendly about everything but I just have never been told why the doctor never made it to my room after waiting an hour.... read more

My husband and I recently tried this location since we had a horrible experience at our last eye doctor. This place is just ok. I think the prices for eye exams are a little overpriced, even with insurance. The staff is very friendly as are the doctors, but I'm now on my third pair of trial contacts because they couldn't figure out my prescription- and this third pair was my former prescription which I gave to them in the first place! Also, I have had to send my glasses back to be fixed because they were the wrong prescription as well. I originally ordered them in July, still waiting. It's not the worst place I've been, but certainly not the best either. (This is solely based on the optometry side, I have NO CLUE about the Lasik surgery side!) read more

Everything was good in the beginning as a new pt at Coan Eye. Great facility and the staff at the time was helpful and attentive. Two years later they went 180 as far a the customer service. I have waited over a hour and a half for my appt. which was clearly triple booked. I've made an appt. with one doctor who has seen me before and knows my history (LASIK was done) and got another with no explain to why. It's seems like they could be a good office but the few bad apples have brought them down. I'm excited to find a new provider like what this office used to be. read more

This place comes off as polished at first, with their designer frames, designer advertisements and clean cut staff. However, I would not recommend it to a friend. The staff is pushy and for someone who does not know the lingo they will not even touch on affordable options as far as eye glasses go. Everyone sounds so confident and assertive but a closer look reveals they are more like sleezy salesmen. Frankie who answers the phone and does the insurance verifications is excellent though! He is the reason I chose this location after having called around. In my 3 hour! appointment I saw three different disgruntled customers come by, not including myself. Anything from the wrong eye glass prescription, to not having a contact lens ready, to not being able to talk to the doctor. I've been getting eyeglass prescriptions and contact prescriptions for over 10 years so I've been in an optical or two. If you're looking for a good optician see Dr. Lili Lam at the Target in Orlando she will spend the time to get your prescription right. Coan eye care not the worst place I've been seen at but, but there is a lot of room for improvement. Would not recommend to a friend. read more

The staff at this place is lazy and not willing to help. They advertise that they will repair glasses purchased from them, however, this is false. I took my glasses to them for repair and the representative said I can't repair it but I can patch it up with super glue. I agreed to this and left the glasses with the understanding they would call me when the repair was completed. They never called me so I went back to them the next day to pick up my glasses. They never repaired or "patched" it up and didn't bother to call me to inform me of this. If I had not went back to pick up my glasses the next day I'm not sure I would've heard from them. I need my glasses to see when working on the computer so it was important for them to be upfront about what they could do vs. holding on to my glasses and deceiving me into thinking they could do the repairs. read more
