My little hometown was once a thriving little community that has lost its charm and its bloom; its downtown lined with locally owned small business and restaurants are no more. There are, however, a few of those locally owned still in business after 30-40+ years which I find important to support. You-Be's U-Bake Pizza is one of those businesses and has been operating in its same small location since the mid-1980s. In a nutshell, You-Be's is a takeout pizza shop that builds pizza restaurant quality pizza, loaded with fresh toppings, and freshly made dough which you then take home and bake yourself. These are great for planning ahead for a get together at half of the price of delivery. There were several of these you-bake-it pizza shops in town, but You-Be's was the first and it is still going strong. Sandwiches and salads are also available for order. The salads are massive and can easily feed 2 or eaters. We ordered their large combination pizza which came out to $13.99. You cannot go wrong with their combination. My only critique is that the interior of the shop is a bit run down and looks the same as it did in 1985. Perhaps, it is how they keep their costs down. So the pizza is always delicious. Fresh veggies. The only problem i have withe place is watching the worker make pizza with no gloves and constantly answering the phone. The worker made about 6 pizzas before he made my order. I asked him to wash his hand and put gloves on. He didn't take offense but I think he was a little embarrassed. I recommend you go in and watch them make your pizza and for your own sake speak up if the worker is not sanitary. read more

I love this pizza! This parlor is located downtown, across the street from a church on the corner. The pizza is so so delicious!! The crust was amazing and crunchy and they are definitely not stingy about covering the WHOLE pie with toppings *cough* ( Papa Murphy's)..blah. Can't wait to return to try the sandwiches. read more

I've been coming to this place for many many years and after today I will not return . I ordered a chicken , pineapple, bacon pizza with bbq sauce . There was absolutely no sauce in the pizza , and I have ordered this pizza before and it was much better in the past and had sauce , but this time it had no flavor of bbq sauce at all period and the chicken did not taste right and did not cook well on the pizza . The pizza itself was unappetizing and flavorless so I called thinking no biggy, maybe they can fix this issue for me and instead I was told over the phone that there is nothing they can do since I cooked the pizza already. Um hello , how was I supposed to know it wasn't going to have sauce until I actually tried the pizza itself? What am I supposed to do try it raw? I then explained how I'm a long time customer and the girl on the phone was rude and said they couldn't fix it for me and " I promise you there is sauce " with a smart little laugh ! Wow ... what poor customer service . It was only a medium pizza it wasn't like I was asking them for the world ! How hard is it to apologize and fix the issue ? I've been coming to this place for years I've even referred a lot of people from my work to this place because the salads are really good never had a problem in many years. I always get the same salad never change it up but today I wanted to try something different so we ordered the 6 inch sandwiches 2 hot and 1 cold and for $30!!we got sandwiches and no sides, it stated on the menu it also states it's under $10 bucks. I didn't want to pay that much for a sandwich because normally you can get a combo anywhere else. I left and I called the girl and she told me to come back when I came back a pregnant lady said no you only paid for the sandwich and it was hot and it's 1099+ tax and it doesn't come with no sides I didn't bother to look at the menu inside their store, however the yelp menu that was posted a the year ago states otherwise. I'm sad and that I won't be returning due to their service and they're overly expensive 6 inch sandwich of $10. Also I ordered for my neighbor a XL pizza and a salad another $30. The little girl on the phone was very rude and I could hear the other girls saying it's her on the phone it's sad that employees can ruin a business and at that I'm done. Bravo farms salad it is!! I really enjoyed this place but the over priced menu is not worth it for the place. I called and asked the pregnant girl for the owners name and she said Frank and hung up on me. I love this place, my second favorite Pizza in town. I am a fan of take-and-bakes in general and this place is in the upper echelon in regards to the pizza. Prices are low and the service is fast. I usually cook a few minutes longer than what it says to on the instructions for a darker/more done pizza and always let it rise for 30 minutes before putting in the oven. This is the best pizza in the area. I'm surprised that the place is still open because you can find pizza (already made) half the price just around the corner. Despite the price ($10) for an XXL (their XXL is like a large for most other pizza places), and you have to make it at home, I think it's a fair price.
