I typically bathe my own dogs but Rush's size makes it quite a task! Thankfully Danielle's staff can handle my mini rhino. He came back squeaky clean and super shiny! His paws and tear stains are the most stubborn parts to clean but they look cleaner than I could've gotten them! Prices are also very reasonable!

It's a great place! After I picked him up, he was not only beautiful, but also really happy :) Update: after a second visit my doggy is looking great again.

The best groomer we've ever been to! Welcoming and super clean atmosphere, and the area where the dogs are held is nice and spacious. Everyone who works here is so friendly and genuinely cares about the animals. After some awful experiences I'm always nervous going to the groomer, but my little shih tzu looks perfect! I was very specific about what I wanted (and also probably very annoying lol) but they listened and gave us exactly that! I could not be happier, and we will definitely be loyal customers from here on out :). Thanks to all!!

    Birthday treats!

You lucky dog has been my ultimate go to store for dog treats especially birthday cakes. We always get them day of however for custom cakes it's best to call in your order a week or two before. The dogs love it and usually have more than enough to save for dessert for the rest of the week. Reese is now 9 and has been receiving enjoying treats from lucky dog you for 5 years! Many more celebrations to come :) They also service in grooming and walk-in customers can view the servicing of dogs, which has always won me over!

Wow! Wow! WOW! Is all I can say! This puppy grooming salon is beyond amazing! It surpassed my expectations and the woman who work there are so welcoming and friendly. My boyfriend and I searched yelp to find the purrrefect puppy grooming facility to groom our 6month old labradoodle named Porsha. It was sort of last minute when we decided to get her groomed and You Lucky Dig was able to accommodate us for such short notice. We called Saturday and was able to get an appointment with 24 hours for Sunday. I was so happy as was my boyfriend. Porsha needed it. We have been so busy and we don't like to go without each other so Sunday was perfect. That was already a good sign. Our appointment was at 2:30pm on Sunday August 27th, 2018. We arrived at 2pm and Danielle and Gina were so warm, welcoming and friendly. Two other ladies greeted us first when we arrived but I didn't get there names. Danielle asked us what we wanted and we told her the full spa package. We emphasized we wanted her nails cut and her eyelashes left because they are so long an beautiful. She told us she'll take care of Porsha and we can come get her in about 2.5-3hours. We asked a price she told us and we kissed Porsha goodbye and left. We called at 4:54 and was told we can come in because Porsha was finished. We arrived 4 minutes later and we were so happy. Porsha looked beautiful and she smelled marvelous! Our first grooming experience somewhere else was horrible. So we didn't have high hopes. But You Lucky Dog is now our 1 and only pet grooming spa that Porsha will be going to. Thank you so much Danielle and Gina. Gina was our groomer. I will upload/attach pictures of Porshas before and after. Can't wait to go back and neither can Porsha ! I recommend 10000000%!

I didnt know they moved until i went yesterday,i actually like there new location because it is more convenient for me :), i love how friendly they always are..new spot is kind of small but that does not stop there superb work they do...thanks my dog loves the doggy treats great priced as well

    so clean and happy

You Lucky Dog is fantastic. I called one evening, in the middle of a heat wave, and asked for the next available appointment - because our pup was just too hot with all that fur! They were able to fit us in the very next morning. I was so thankful! Their facilities are inside a brand new, beautiful apartment building. Inside YLD, everything was spotless. They brought me and my pup inside, showed us the facilities and let me put him in the little holding pen and say goodbye. That was a nice feeling - compared to saying goodbye to him in the lobby and watching him disappear behind a solid door like other places. 2 hours later, right on time, I picked him up and he looked so much more comfortable. His cut was cute, his nails were trim, his coat smelled so clean. He was a really happy boy. Thanks again to the staff of You Lucky Dog for taking care of our little guy. We'll definitely be back!

After trying several places out in the area, we finally found You Lucky Dog and have been so pleased! The prices are reasonable, the staff are friendly and the services are the best! Gina does an awesome job and listens to exactly what we want. This has been Coopers 3rd visit and we will certainly be back!!

I had a great experience with the shop, but after my dog Jake died, I bought another dog of the same breed, though he is a little smaller. I took him to the shop a few times, and I was okay with his grooming However, a day before Easter, I took him in for a haircut, and I was shocked by what happened to my new dog, Mylo. I had specifically asked the groomer to cut the hair short from the waist down and just trim the ears and top to maintain the style I wanted. Instead, they cut him as if they only knew one basic trimming technique and skimmed his body from top to bottom. I know his hair will grow back, so that's not what upset me the most. When the groomer brought Mylo to me, he looked scared and nervous. The groomer mentioned that he accidentally nipped him and that he had applied medicine and a bandage sealer. At first, I thought the cut didn't look too bad, but when I got home, I discovered a deep gash on his skin. I took some pictures of the injury and tried to call the owner of the shop, but I haven't received a response.

WARNING: My Experience Working at Palisades Pups -- A Message for Pet Owners…read more I worked at Palisades Pups beginning in January 2025, when I was just 16 years old. I stayed for around five-six months and returned briefly later in the year. I'm writing this because I believe pet owners, parents, and other young workers deserve to know what goes on behind the scenes. What I experienced was not just unprofessional -- it was unsafe, exploitative, and in many cases likely illegal. On my very first day, I was told to come in work clothes -- even though I hadn't technically been hired yet. I filled out a paper application, had a quick basement interview, and then was immediately put to work. I was never truly trained. I was simply told when the dogs get fed and cleaned, and then left alone to handle everything myself. The person who was supposed to train me -- an adult employee -- offered me a beer just minutes after asking my name. I was 16. He drank on the job in front of me. During my time there, I saw other employees regularly drinking alcohol and smoking weed or cigarettes while on duty, sometimes in the grooming room or yard. There was no real supervision. I worked illegal hours for a minor -- sometimes seven days in a row and shifts as long as 10 hours, especially on weekends. I was told to clean using bleach and other chemicals with no gloves, no mask, and dogs in the same space, inhaling those fumes. Things got worse when I was told to help "clean up" and "renovate" the basement by the owner -- where dogs are kept overnight. I was forced to do construction work that is completely illegal for a 16-year-old: I mixed concrete, used a jigsaw to cut wood, removed rusted nails from beams, and laid flooring in a moldy basement full of rat traps, dust, fur, and dirty cages. I was scared to say no, even when I got sick -- and had to beg to be allowed to take one day off to recover from a high fever, nausea, and headaches. After I left, I referred a friend to work there, and was eventually asked to return. I came back but was given only one 4-hour shift per week, which barely covered any of my costs. They kept me listed as "in training" for months, even though no one was training me anymore. I was suspended for 2 weeks when I missed a shift due to school detention -- despite showing them proof. Later, when I asked to switch shifts to take my cat to a free rabies vaccine event, they refused, citing a "90-day probation," even though I had already been back for over 90 days. Perhaps the most concerning issue of all: I witnessed dogs being physically hit by caretakers. Dogs left overnight were kept in a moldy, unsanitary basement, locked in cages from 8 p.m. until 8 a.m. with no overnight staff, despite the business advertising "overnight care." The area had yellowed tubs, mold on the walls, sink water used for drinking and bathing, and fur everywhere. It was not a safe or healthy place for animals. Before I finally left for good, management told me they wanted me to begin grooming dogs once I finished 11th grade -- when I turned 17. However, you need a license in New Jersey to work as a groomer, and I had received zero formal training. They were planning to have me handle clippers, scissors, and other dangerous tools without any proper certification, putting both me and the animals at risk. I want to be clear: I love animals, and I took the job because I thought I'd be helping care for them. But what I saw was the opposite of care. Palisades Pups is not a safe place for pets or teen workers. I hope this helps others make informed choices -- whether you're thinking of working here or trusting them with your pet.
