As you would expect, this spot is a bit on the smaller side with jars of tea lining the wall to the back. A smaller selection of accessories are placed in spots where they can fit. They also serve tea, but this time I only bought a small sampling of an Ice Wine black tea in loose leaf form. So far I've had it several times and love it more and more each time. This is a nice quaint place. It's not a restaurant but a store where you can buy tea, some snacks , and items such as tea pots, cups etc. I bought a bone China tea cup which I love. This time I took my kids to get boba tea there. Since boba tea is something they love and we venture out to many places to get it I must say they didn't enjoy it here as much. Only because they are spoiled that way. I ended up buying the earl grey, blueberry and peach loose black teas which was very good. Always make sure to stop in here whenever I make the trip up to Port Jeff! While I'm not really into regular tea, I always make sure to get their bubble tea. While you may be able to find better bubble tea somewhere, this definitely is the best option in the area. They don't skimp on the bubbles and the size is definitely good for the price. Aside from the bubble tea, they also have regular loose tea and different adorable teapots to buy. As I said, I'm not really into regular tea, so I can't speak to that, but the smell of it is delicious, so I'm sure they have some great flavors/types. A small quaint little tea shop that's warm and inviting. Inside offers a wide variety of different flavored loose leaf teas. They also sell diffusers, fine bone China sets and standard tea pots. They have a small outdoor porch with a couple of chairs so you can enjoy the tea in the warmer months. I chose the apple pie tea. It's $4.89 cents an ounce so it's reasonably priced. They give you brewing instructions on the bag which was helpful. Brewed it when I got home for 4 minutes and I found I needed to add some milk to it for a touch of sweetness. What a cute little tea shop tucked away on the back side of Main Street, across from the Port Jeff Brewing Company. I've been on a mission to find a new mango black tea ever since Trader Joe's stopped carrying my favorite tea about a year ago. There are plenty of mango teas on the market but nothing compared, until now. I asked the store owner for help and was quickly steered toward their Mango Mist loose leaf tea. There are jars available so you can smell the tea before making a purchase. I didn't really get this concept until I tried it. It really helped me decide which tea to buy. I purchased an ounce of the Mango Mist tea. I was told it would make about 12 cups. I'm thinking it may make a bit more. I couldn't wait to get home and make a pot. It's DELICIOUS!!! We found this place a few weeks ago while wandering around Port. Being a huge tea fan, we stopped in. The first trip we purchased some Scottish tea and a beautiful glass infuser tea pot. I became addicted to the Scottish tea and knew when it was gone I had to go back for more. I wasn't sure I would use the tea pot on a regular basis because of the steps involved, but I began to enjoy the process each morning. The bonus was the handle of the teapot doesn't get hot in the microwave, making it easy to handle.Today I purchased two more ounces of the Scottish tea and tasted my first Boba tea. Lovely little place with a big selection of teas. The staff are friendly and helpful. All you need to do is walk in smell the teas and ask for a cup either iced or hot. The staff were more than happy to chat when our tea was brewing. They have a small patio seating area that will only seat a couple people, but there's normally not that many people around anyways. I was walking through the port Jeff marina and stumbled upon this quaint little gem. The ambiance is pretty formal it's not like teavana where you could just bother the sales associate while he's working with a customer. There's only one employee here and he's the owner. Wait your turn and sometimes it's a long wait so leave and come back after minutes if he's taking too long to help you. It's worth it to wait because once it's your turn he gives you his whole attention showcasing his amazing line of teas and letting you smell them. The entire store is shamefully dedicated to my favorite addiction. Loose tea. Bury your nose in the glass cylinders offering sample "sniffs of the tea" and pick your poison. The staff here is also knowledgeable and excellent. No lackadaisical high school kids working summer jobs here -- Just people who love tea as much as you do. Some of the BEST teas from You, Me and Tea: - Coconut Custard (It's rooibos so it's caffeine free) - Monk's tea (Black and deliciouso) - Anything Jasmine (especially the pearls/dragon tears) ALSO: - They have an entire website to browse if you don't want to head to the store. (PJ is pretty far from just about everything). - They'll make you tea in shop so it's perfect for a fall/spring day when you're wandering around the village. - The tea is largely INEXPENSIVE! That's right. This isn't Teavana in the Roosevelt field mall where you are coerced to buy multiple teas and walk out spending spending $15-20 at a minimum. You can try many of the teas for less than $4 an oz. For specialty loose tea, you can't beat the prices. - Good quality. Just don't let the tea sit in the little clear plastic bag that it comes in for 5 months. It will lose it's flavor. - They sell one time use disposable unbleached tea bags that I can't find anywhere except amazon. They're a little more pricey that what I usually but I'm not complaining, it's a specialty shop. - The tea pots and tea accessories are fairly matron-like so you're bound to find a decent gift for an older aunt/mom/grandmother who enjoys teaware. - Honey spoons and tea candy. It's a really basic shop, dedicated to the tea buyer, and that's what I really appreciate about it. I really have to give it to the owner(?) of this place. It's a really quaint shop in Port Jeff, but there is super hands-on care with every single customer. My girlfriend and I both ordered bubble tea from here, and even though the guy discovered that the blender was broken in the process, he took it upon himself to hand-shake and blend both bubble teas in order to fulfill our order. The end result wasn't anything spectacular, but compared to other bubble tea places I go to often, it wasn't lacking either. The tea is made with a powder mix like most places, so my bubble tea tasted about the same as what I get elsewhere. I use honeydew as my taste test flavor these days, and I can say the honeydew here was on the sweeter side. My girlfriend got mango, which was surprisingly accurate in taste, compared to real mangos. I'm not sure if I'd come back for bubble tea, but I thought the service and effort was something worth writing about. While I'm no tea expert, the teas for sale looked solid with fair prices. Really disappointed with this boba tea. I'm not sure any tea was actually even used in the making of it. Instead of using actual tea for flavoring, it's a powder that doesn't mix in completely with the milk, so you're left with a strange powdery drink, and slightly undercooked or just stale boba. The problem is that 75% of the time we drive there and go in all excited, and they say they're out of bubble tea. The owner is an extremely friendly and helpful guy. He could easily tell that it was my first time in Port Jefferson when I walked into his store, and he helped me overcome my indecisiveness by recommending a variety of teas based on my own preferences. I opted to skip the bubble tea and go straight for the real, unsweetened stuff. After a bit of deliberation, I settled on a black tea which I believe was called Sri Karma Sutra (or something along those lines). Although it was piping hot (scalded my tongue with the first sip and probably the next ten sips), the tea itself was excellent, with a rich aroma that you can practically taste in the back of your throat. The flavor of the tea was also something else, naturally spreading itself all over my tongue, and it lingers in your throat, but not in a bad way. The tea also came with complimentary honey biscuits, which were absolutely delicious for something that came in a wrapper. I would definitely come back for another cup, which was reasonably priced, by the way (getting a cup half that size in Flushing would run up 1.30 or so, and it would be more generic jasmine or green tea than the exotic blend I got). read more

Adele, one of the salesman, is easy to talk to and is well versed with all of the teas in stock. She had wrapped my teas in a nice bag filled with green tissue paper and ribbons since I had bought them as a gift. All of the teas can be served iced/warm with sweetner and milk added in for no extra charge. A cup to-go (of any kind of tea) costs $2.50. An ounce of loose leaf tea averages $5 and makes 10-13 cups. You're also welcome to smell any of the teas they have in stock. For those of you who are into fruity teas, I highly recommend the Carmen Miranda Pina Colada! For those of you who have a sweet tooth, the Winter White Marzipan with milk and two pumps of sweetner is delish!! I went here yesterday after going to Teavana at Smith Haven mall earlier in the day, and this experience was so much better. I watched the staff member answer questions asked by customers before me, and he was helpful and informative without any of the mildly aggressive hawking Teavana staff tends to do. The tea is better priced here too. I got mango bubble tea from here and I honestly wasn't expecting much since I've been to places that are famous for having good bubble tea, but it was actually pretty decent! The mango flavor was pretty strong, which I liked a lot. I also tried some of the honeydew bubble tea my boyfriend got and it tasted sweet and refreshing. On top of that, the blender was broken so the staff member had to manually shake the bubble tea in order to mix it, and it still turned out good! My only critique is that the tapioca bubbles were flavorless and didn't add to the drink (I really like chewing on sweet boba).
