I called quite a few different moving companies to ask about a next day move. Most of them just laughed. I called Matt and he said sure. Asked how much I had and where to. I gave him all the information and he said the crew would be there. Sure enough they showed up promptly at 1230 and were ready to move. Since I told him it was quite a bit of stuff for an afternoon move, he even had a 3rd guy dropped off to make it go faster. The movers were courteous and took great care not to damage my things. Matt was a terrific guy! He came over to do an estimate at the home I was moving into AND the home I was moving out of. Only cause they were 5 minutes away. He gave us a flat rate estimate, that's always better for me so you don't get screwed if the guys take too long. But the three movers: David, Tim and Chevy were nothing short of spectacular. they were straight champions when it came to the three flights of stairs they had to bring everything up. we only had 1 broken picture frame and a broken leg on a coffee table (which had broken a few times before the move... obviously superglue isn't that strong). But I can't reiterate how great these guys were. I had to stop them to give em water, I was afraid they'd keel over. all in all, if you're deciding between YouMoveMe and any other company. Just moved using these guys, moved 1 week prior and due to unforeseen circumstances had to move again. ( used a diff company prior ) While speaking to the owner Matt he worked out a great price with me since I just had to move. Said he would send his best guys. I was able to schedule very last minute which I appreciated. He asked what I would like from Starbucks.. Very sweet :-). Come move day, Brandon, Geminsky and Chevy showed up. They were very courteous, and awesome sense of humors and were always making sure everything was satisfactory, and they worked they're butts off! They were hustling back and forth and I appreciated that. It did take longer than we hoped ( out of there control, took a long time to get on base) they ended up giving me an even better price. Best moving company experience yet. Had to move a piano from Pearl City to Niu Valley and Matt quoted us half what others were quoting us. Very professional upon arrival, came in uniforms (very clean). Not to mention brand new moving truck. Upon arrival at drop off destination, I asked if they could also pick up a fridge in Hawaii Kai and bring it back to Niu Valley. They had another appointment after mines but they squeezed me in for a little extra fee. All in all 5 stars and will be using them to move in the future. read more

They called me the day before and said two people would be coming and asked me what kind of coffee I would like, that as part of their customer service they provide Starbucks coffee, I told them what I wanted. They were two hours late because one of the two people who were supposed to move me called in sick at the last minute. And when one guy did show up, with no coffee, only one person was working and then another person showed up a half our later. They did a decent job moving me and when it came time to give me the bill it was over the phone, I was told that because they were late and because there was only one person there for a half hour they would not charge me for the time the other person was not working. I asked for a receipt with a break down of the charges but they only sent me a receipt for the amount. They told me the bill would amount to about $406 and charged my credit card for that amount, then three days later there was another charge for $523 on the same card. I called them and they said the first charge was a mistake that the person had read the bill incorrectly and that they would take the $406 off of my card, but the "real" charge of $523 would stay. So a $100+ mistake in their favor. I can not really recommend these people. Besides no coffee, they were late, I have no receipt that tells me what I was charged for and I had to spend time dealing with their mistake. Besides checking my credit card after I got the second notice of a charge I am going to have be checking my credit card to make sure they removed the incorrect charge. Look for someone else. read more

A move in general is stressful. My family & I aren't moving within the state...we're moving to the mainland. Called around to different moving companies and found You Move Me on yelp as everyone raged about their excellent service! Spoke with Matt for an accurate quote since the online tool only does quotes within the islands of Hawaii. Brandon came to our house one day to take a look at everything we're shipping. One of the biggest things, is a professional tool box. Easily over couple hundred pounds. Before Brandon left we asked him if the tool box had to be empty? He said "no, it should be fine if we leave everything in" and the other one was a Harley. At first You Move Me was going to build a crate for the Harley, but we decided to have Harley build it for peace of mind knowing it'll be done right, secured, and couple hundred less to build!! Moving day has arrived, and we actually weren't sure what time the movers were coming...Brandon called & said they'd be here in 5-10 mins (it was some time before 8am). Which is OK with us that it was early, we wanted it done as soon as possible. We were quoted for a 3 man crew, but only 2 came. Well, the crate that was built for our stuff wasn't strong enough to withhold the weight of our tool box (the base made cracking noises)!! Matt ended up having to come to assess the situation, because...the crate that they built, could not fit any of our other stuff (besides the tool box & our tv). We had the option to empty the tool box, or leave it as is & they reinforce the bottom of the crate with more wood they'll buy from home depot. We went that route. Next, it was trying to figure out our stuff...shrink wrap it or put it in a couch box? After Matt gave us quotes how much it'll cost us more, we just went with the couch box. They were nice to pick up our Harley from Harley Davidson and even call us to tell us when they were on their way to Aloha Freight. After that headache...next came the hugest nightmare we encountered in our life! Payment. We gave Matt our card info over the phone, but gave him the wrong billing zip (we forgot we changed our address with the bank already) so, the payments were declining. We gave him the right billing zip & Matt kept saying the payments were still declining on his end. I called the bank and found out, there were 8 attempts, 2 reversed, 4 declined, but....2 TRANSACTIONS WERE APPROVED. so, instead of our move costing less than $6500, ended up having about $13,000 being held from our account!! AND WE'RE LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AWAY FROM MOVING. With only $130 left in our account, we can't pay for anything else for our move, or food for ourselves, & we have a 2 year old daughter. Very upsetting, but Matts been very attentive & hopefully trying everything he can to get this resolved. **I will post an update with the result of our money** read more

One of my friends recommended these guys! We are moving from one house to another about 2 miles away, so we were going to have someone come do it for us. I called and made a reservation with them, and the guy that helped me was very friendly!! Helped me out with any questions I had, however, I just called to cancel that reservation because a uhaul is a lot cheaper and we decided to do it ourselves. He asked why we were canceling and offered a cheaper rate, and I said if you can do cheaper than $50 then I'll stay with you guys. He then proceeded to say that we would be paying way more than that due to the miles and gas used, plus we wouldn't have the equipment. That's okay! He proceeded to either put me on hold or take another call, but didn't say anything to let me know, so I almost hung up, then he comes back and was had a very rude attitude and said your reservation is cancelled and hung up on me. I'm sorry but I don't want to use a company that has a rude attitude with any of their customers. I called back to complain and wanted to speak with a manager and he paused, and then said (in a not so convincing different tone of voice) "okay you're speaking to a manager" so I told him it was rude to not let me know that he had put me on hold or taken another call, and that he hung up on me. He replied back with an attitude about how he did say he told me he was taking another call and that he didn't hang up on me. I said I'm not using you guys ever again and hung up. I've heard good things about them, but because of this I will not use them. read more

You Move Me Hawaii helped make my move so much easier. We used them as moving labor. I was in contact with Matt every time I called - I never once had to leave a message and wait for them to get back to me. We had some details change that were outside our control and Matt was so accommodating, friendly and offered great customer service. On the day of our move Thad was on site early to inspect the job and try to anticipate any possible issues. I was surprised that he was here early and actually before our relo-cube arrived. Then - he had his guys (Jeff & Brandon) here 2 hours early to accommodate my needs. I was so pleased - I didn't think it could get better but then I met Jeff & Brandon. These guys hustled to get all our stuff into our apartment - they were professional, friendly and clean. I really appreciated that they got done within the quoted time and they were mindful of the rules of our condo association so we didn't get cited. Of all the moving companies I called You Move Me Hawaii was by far the most professional and most responsive to my needs. Moving is stressful and they made my move a lot better! We used this company twice in two months during the busy summer moving season. Most recently our movers were Nikko and Chris. Both times I reserved online and got the specific morning start time I desired, and the movers were punctual, even when they had to travel to the North Shore. Both moves came in well under the estimate. Our movers were hustling, even jogging around the house, and I felt that they maximized their time and mine. Coming in the crew knew I wasn't a happy customer because of some scheduling issues I had to deal with so I don't know if that's why they were so polite or not, but overall the guys ended up doing a great job! I'm getting used to using Yelp for all my needs! Before, it was for only food places, but been having wonderful results in searching for Appliance Repairs, Moving Services, Car Repairs, Electronic Stores, Stores to find Gundam even! I used "You Move Me" based on the other Yelp reviews and was totally satisfied with their service. I had a refrigerator that I needed to move from one house to another. After contacting this company, they handled the work the same week! They even gave me a Yelp Discount for getting a quote through Yelp. All personnel were friendly and well-mannered. They took the time to do it right. They sent two individuals who worked great together. Their communications skills came in handy as they had to maneuver my refrigerator through narrow doorways. Once it was ready to load on the truck, they made sure it was wrapped up well to prevent any dents or scratches from happening during the drive to my other home. Great attention to detail. And when they got to my other home, it was just as nice to see them properly unload and install the unit and made sure all was working properly before they left. read more

Moving just plain sucks. It can throw even the most organized person into a tail-spin. Add the stress of selling a home and it can be a recipe for disaster. You Move Me has been the absolute best part of our current move thus far. From the day I made the appointment with Matt (owner), I knew we were in good hands. He was thorough in covering the entire process up-front and let me know of every possible charge that would or could happen. Nothing he told me differed from the information I found on their website. Their prices are completely reasonable and you are made a part of the planning process (number of guys, time, boxes, etc...) The morning of the move, Ty called me and let me know they were on their way. He even asked if I wanted anything from Starbucks (so thoughtful!). He gave me a projected ETA and arrived right on time. All three of their team walked through the house with me and asked questions and posed any possible concerns right away. Ty, Nick and Nicolai jumped right into action on our 4-bedroom house without any delay. This amazing team finished our entire move (packing, driving and unloading) in 3.5 hours. 3 HOURS! They were amazing to work with and I cannot say enough good things about this company! I was given everything I was promised and more. I was assigned Matt on the Honolulu side of the move and was not impressed from the beginning. His response time was terrible and took days to respond to emails and voicemails. Some he never did respond to. My client received someone else's package and had missing items. The items are still missing. He gave no explanation or reason and it was weeks between the time I reported the issue and by the time he gave the final answer that there was no way items could be recovered. The corporate office of YouMoveMe has been equally unresponsive and although I called to have a complaint filed and was told someone would get back to me in 48 business hours I received no call. Furthermore, when I called back there was no record of an open claim on file. Completely unacceptable for a "high-end" diamond certified business. Not sure how they received this rating. read more

Excellent moving company -- Matt was the contact and he was very helpful. We move often due to work -- across country on the mainland, and up and down the coast, and then from the mainland to the island of O'ahu and we've used many moving companies -- this one has been one of the very best for local moving. Organized, friendly, smart, great attitude -- plus Matt was very helpful with related information -- using Bungo Boxes, for instance; who to call to get rid of excess items and furniture (1800 got junk and Goodwill, or leaving it on the sidewalk for city pick up, etc. ) -- Pretty accurate quote and they took enough care but not overkill on our belongings, and worked right through the day. David, Kai and Jared were our three movers and they really did a wonderful job. Like I said -- organized, friendly, skilled and great attitude. Plus, instead of the usual chaotic loading and unloading, they worked in an efficient, effect and calm manner -- not slow, but very steady. Even dealing with the amount of animal hair that magically shows up when you start moving things around - they were still cheerful and conversational. They both looked very professional and were more than willing to take the extra items that we needed moved that were not discussed during the estimate. The estimate was accurate and still was under what we were quoted due to the guys moving quickly and efficiently. Was very happy with their service, care of our household items and their kind and happy presence. Would use again if moving locally. Some may say that the price is high for just moving locally but they are making sure your furniture is padded and handled properly. I was very worried about my piano being moved and they had a lift gate on the truck and padded it before moving. Everything was moved to our new house with ease and efficiency. Highly recommend. The whole experience was great. When I initially called, they actually answered the phone and sent me a written quote. Matt called me a couple days ahead to confirm....it was nice to get that follow up. I scheduled for a Sunday morning, but on Friday I called last minute and they were able to fit me in on Saturday. When I called, Juergen came out on the same day to provide us with an accurate estimate of the cost. It was so nice to get such quick service. You Move Me is first rate. First of all, when I called, the receptionist who answered the phone was extremely polite and helpful. She recommended that I secure a reservation since I was calling at such late notice and it was worry free because they did not have my credit card information. Matt actually called about an hour beforehand and said they could come EARLY! They arrived with 3 guys when I reserved 2 and they only charged me for 2. They wrapped up my stuff with plastic to protect it and keep drawers from falling out (they'll move your bureaus with stuff inside as long as it's not breakable or heavy), took good care of my things, were very efficient, friendly, and professional. They asked me if I'd like to purchase a mattress bag to protect the bed for $6, and I was pleased that they were up front about it and asked for permission instead of just assuming I wanted it and charging me for it at the end. They helped me move the few furniture items I had to a new place about 10 minutes away and were finished in under the 1 hour minimum (they had originally quoted 2-3 hours). All in all it was a great experience and I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again! read more

Great customer service! From initial contact to the end, You Move Me Honolulu was great. Dave, Corey, and Dominic were courteous, hard-working, and thorough. They brought coffee for me when they arrived in the morning. During the move, they frequently checked in with me to make sure they had everything that needed to be moved and volunteered to help pack a handful of miscellaneous items that I added last minute. They even helped with bringing some boxes/bags down for donation and trash. Even though I booked two guys, a third joined us an hour into the job but I was only charged the two-man rate. Since they weren't able to bring wardrobe boxes as I had requested, they took $25 off my bill, which made me happy. Thank you guys--you definitely made my moving day less stressful! read more
