I've been working out here for a year now: they recently "remodeled" but all they did was bring in 3 new machines and paint. The machines that were broken still are, nobody re racks weights here, we had a few employees that were helpful but they were fired. I had been a member since 2012. I had lost my job last November and had no income come April I finally called to cancel my membership as I could no longer afford it.The lady e explained there was A 10.00 fee to cancel. I find this very insulting I don't have the money to pay every month even though I've given them over $4,000 over the years to charge a fee to cancel after I've been a loyal customer. The lady never canceled my membership and his continuing to charge me since April which I did not know about now it's over $100 and they have me in collections. I called the gym and they would not help me at all they didn't even want to give me the phone number for corporate they told me I had to email them. This YouFit is keeping us safe during the Covid-19 issues still going on. The protocols are enforced and the staff is very friendly about communicating it with the clients. And it is everyone that works there contributing. they are a very organized team that is really rocking it! I love this gym! It's my home gym and you honestly can't get better for $10 a month! A lot of people confuse youfit with planet fitness but they're not the same gym. They do not serve pizza or bagels here and you're allowed to come here if you're a body builder- regardless, the vibe here is still pretty humble! This location is open 24hrs Mon-Fri! I only give it 4 stars because unlike other locations, this one doesn't have a smoothie bar or room for regular classes or a sauna. But it deff has all the equipment you need for a good workout. Note: I am surprised by other reviews that say it's dirty/smelly! One of the reasons I love this place is because I've never walked in and got hit in the face with the smell of ball sack or B.O! This place is cleaned thoroughly, daily! I am here sometime between 9am and 2pm at least 5 days a week and I know it's scrubbed down because the full time cleaning crew is also there between those hours and I witness it daily. There is an older couple as well as a few other maintenance people and they wipe down every inch of that place every day. They have legit wiped my sweat off of treadmills while I was still using them! Lol read more

Very disappointed with You Fit. The newer and larger gym located on Compass Way, Dania Pointe has new machines that differ from the ones I am used to. When I asked if someone could just show me how to use them, I I was told I could hire a personal trainer. To be fair, there was only one (1) young, harried-looking guy at the member check in desk so they are very understaffed,. Ok, then I wanted to ride the stationary bike and was told that the only room you could ride in is the movie room with a loud Marvel universe movie playing, impossible to read while cycling with that distraction. Needless to say, I will not return there. The original You Fit in Hollywood (Oakwood) was better but after they "renovated" meaning they removed three of the machines I used during every workout to give weight lifters more room, I lost part of my routine. In addition, the music is awful, loud rap and hip-hop with no variety. We boomers are paying to work out there too ! If I find another local gym, I will not return to You Fit !!! read more

I am a member of the UFit Gym located at Front & Olney in Philadelphia. I can say that I have been attending the gym since Dec 2021 and I am very pleased with the professional manner in-which all the staff work in the gym. The manager, Erin is very respectable and knowledgable of all the gym equipment. There front desk workers are always available to help you. I would also like to comment on how clean the gym is kept by the cleaning staff, Mary Bright and the part-time worker Lisa. I finally got my brother to join and have a few other family and friends that will be joining. My brother complained to me about the men's bathroom. What ever happened to the worker Carl Witherspoon? He always kept the men's bathroom clean. I never heard a complaint. Great worker!! Can we get Carl back? read more

The location is small and better used after 10p when it's more clear and less crowded. They do a great job of keeping the equipment and gym floors clean. I want to start by saying the pricing for memberships is extremely competitive and I enjoy that this location is 24 hours on most days. Recently though I've noticed a complete lack of care for cleanliness to the point where every single towel dispenser will be empty. Think about that... in a GYM that prides itself on cleanliness for the past 2 months has not been able to adequately buy paper towels.... If this was run correctly instead of being drowned in corporate webs and tangles someone would go to the nearest store and buy paper towels but instead machines are left soaked in sweat! I'm not sure if this place is going out of business soon but you can't help but notice the saddened look of the employees who I see at all hours obviously not making a living wage and inadequately staffed with help after normal business hours, and wonder something seems off here. read more

Passed by this YouFit to get a workout in because I was in the area. I have worked out before and overall I like the gym. This location is pretty big compared to other YouFits. It has plenty of cardio machines which is always a plus especially on those days where it gets super crowded. Everything seemed clean and the weights were placed where they were supposed to be. The only reason why I don't give it a full 5 stars is because there seemed to be a problem with the AC. Luckily there are huge fans that definitely help keeping the gym cool. Another downer that I experience in almost all the YouFits is when I bring a guest with me. The process of checking in the guest is a little inconvenient especially when it's the same guest everyday..... Sometimes it's a little consuming when you are in a rush and your guest needs give their ID, type my number, their number and sign a waiver then wait to be verified EVERY single time. read more

I thoroughly looked into several different gyms as well as a few home based programs before I finally settled on YouFit Hollywood. I've now been a member for about four years, so I feel I can now write a detailed and fair review. Cleanliness: this gym is TOP NOTCH in this area. The bathrooms are spotless and they keep the floor and machines very clean as well. The maintenance crew, who I've come to know personally over my several years at the gym are excellent, humble and sweet, always serving you up a slice of "good morning" and "how are you?" There is constantly a crew of at least two to three people who are going up and down this gym keeping it spic and span. Not only that, but often I see the trainers pitching in and ensuring that everything is out away, nice and neat. It is an absolute pleasure to work out at such an immaculate gym and kudos to the maintenance team at the Hollywood location. Front desk: they keep busy yet are always cordial and do their best to get you in the door as fast as possible. The faces of the management and personnel have changed over the years of my membership but they continue to hire well as all have been as equally professional, efficient, friendly and encouraging. Again, they have become friends as you see these faces everyday and it is another part of the pleasure of working out here. Trainers: I have made some great connections with the friendly and knowledgeable trainers that staff this location and have found them extremely willing to help me and offer advice. Over the years, it's taken me time to learn the gym, equipment, and proper form in various exercises. I've gotten much valuable advice from the various trainers that have worked at this gym, both male and female, and many times I've gotten special encouragement and compliments at just the right times as well. This only adds to the pleasure of working out at this location. Other gym goers: I have met SO many cool people at this gym. On top these countless acquaintances, I have truly made many special friends. I've gotten to connect with people who are very different than I am, but we all have common goals which unites us. The types of people here run the gamut in every kind of age and background but that only makes it all the more interesting. I've made friends with other moms like myself as well as several retired professional athletes, senior citizens, foreign transplants, and more. These people have encouraged me, made me laugh and inspired me every morning to pursue my goals as I see them strive for theirs. Price: $10 a month is unbeatable. Especially considering that this gym has all the equipment you need to get a complete workout. This was the deciding factor on why I joined the gym and it is by far a STEAL. I can't ever go to another gym and pay more knowing that I can pay $10 a month for everything I get access to at Youfit. Equipment: Squat Rack, Smith Machines, Bench Press Stations, all ranges in dumb bells, kettle bells, medicine balls, foam rollers, weight machines and cables, heavy duty leg press station, stair masters, cross fit style rowers, treadmills and more. All the basics and MORE are here and it's usually all in working order. I have enjoyed this gym more than I could have ever imagined and I look forward to coming here every morning. It's excellent and if you have fitness goals and the motivation to reach them, this is a great place to start. I've been amazed at how much I've bettered myself and I am grateful for such a great gym where I could work my goals and reach feats that I thought were not possible. It is a great personal satisfaction to be able to do things you couldn't do before and that is because of a great and well run establishment like Youfit Hollywood. I'm just so disgusted by this location. They are unprofessional and unorganized! The matter I experienced was at the fault of someone working there but the manager Elaina could care less and was not interested in helping! Raquel was sweet regardless of the situation at hand and did what she could but the end all was up to the manager. In addition, when I was about to leave the manager walks out screaming at someone on the phone! It was just a big unprofessional experience and the one professional guy should be the manager because he reiterated to others to control yourselves in front of the customers! This gym is very new . Very clean and boast some of the best technology and new machines in present time . Awesome movie room ! Battle ropes . Showers are clean and gym is well kept . The employees from my exp have been gregarious and more than helpful . The plaza that it's in has great stores for me to shop or even an Ulta where I can buy some primer and concealer .. The movie room shows some great movies and you can run a few miles just from the diversion of it . Instructors are very seasoned at what they do and will modify the exercise for you to catch on without injuring yourself . Now if you read this far what I said about Ulta and me shopping there was only a joke ..... but it is one there . This gym when it comes to nice and clean ...beats out 24 and LA any day . read more

I had few system issues during trainers switch that were very efficiently correct by new Director of Fitness Felipe. Felipe is known at this gym as one of best trainers before he got promoted to well deserved management role. Aside this being his first Director role he doing amazing job balancing his obligations towards clients corporate and building and leading his team of trainers. Not to forget Master Coach Akeem. Trainings that Akeem provided to my son were unique and different than trainings from other trainers. Great job on originality. read more

Beware--not only is this place poorly managed, it is also poorly maintained. Given that it's so close to my house, I made the decision to join this club. However, I regret not reading the reviews before signing up for the membership. There is equipment scattered across the floor, and the area is rather filthy. Signs literally come tumbling down from the walls. The majority of the equipment is malfunctioning. I canceled my membership, but I was still billed for the subsequent three months. After speaking with the manager, she could not give me a refund. Not intending to disparage her, the manager also gave me a modified version of my cancellation form that had her name removed when I requested a copy of it. This was pretty shady, in my opinion. She might not have wanted me to report to corporate as a consequence. The good news is that I also received a copy via email, which was an original copy with all the information on it. My recommendation is that you would be better off visiting somewhere else. read more

Hi, I am writing this review to let others know to NOT use this gym! I signed up, all seemed fine, could be a little crowded with so many people using the free weights, but it was ok for the price...and they also keep the place really hot, it felt like they were trying to save money on the AC bill. The real problem I had is when i went to cancel my membership because I was moving out of state and there were no Youfit gyms by where I was moving. I went in, in June, and told the young lady at the desk that I was moving and she informed me that I would have to pay for an additional month of use and then that would be it! Seems easy enough, right? Well, I paid my month and then expected everything would be fine, because I had spoken to an employee, and they are trained to know what to do/say when someone decides to cancel! Boy was I wrong! They have my account info and they have charged me 35$ + 10.60 +52$ + 20.60$ = 118.00$ So, I called and asked why there were these charges and they said they are for the, year fee, and a bounce back payment fee, and the month membership fee, and a fee for the fee! I explained my situation to the asst. manager and she didn't care! She was rude, told me that there was no evidence that I came in, even though I moved on July 2nd and didn't visit the gym after June 28th, she said her employees are trained and they would never make that mistake so it must be that I didn't come in or tell them to cancel! she told me that they would just keep charging my account, and that if i don't pay "IT WILL GO TO COLLECTIONS!" she was extremely rude and dismissive of anything thing I said! She would talk over me, and dismiss any reasonable response I had to her questions. The most deplorable customer service I have experienced in a long, long time! I explained to her that I would be glad to pay for the last month (july) and the cancel fee(10.00$) but that's all i'm paying as I haven't lived in Florida for over TWO months! She said nope, and they were gonna keep charging my bank account. I now have a stop payment for Youfit. I now have to close my bank account and open a new one because they want all of the fees and all of the months even though I have not been to the gym since June! DO NOT JOIN YOUFIT! you will regret it, bad customer service, ignorant employees, and they take your bank account number instead of your CC so that they can charge you incessantly! Negative experience from the day I signed up. Three months ago I came in expecting the $10/month membership. The "salesguy" was poorly trained or well versed in lying and suffered from a double-digit IQ. After his pitch, I understood that the green machines were for lower body, the purple for upper (or vice-versa), there's plenty of treadmills, and the fees would go up to $15/month next year. OK. Got it. But when it came to signing the contract and charging my credit card, not only would they NOT show me the agreement I was signing ("It's going to be emailed to you, then you can read it. We don't have it here"), they wanted to charge me $51.00 to start! "What happned to $10 a month?" I asked. "Oh, there's a sign up fee, plus tax, plus we charge first and last month up front. And if you want to cancel you have to do it a month ahead of time, and there's also an annual fee due in 3 months" --which they naturally hope we forget about, which I did. Feeling dirty, I should have run out of there. But I signed up, albeit with a bad taste in my mouth. Since Florida is hot, I expected YouFit to be air conditioned. But they have a better strategy. Whenever the place fills up--usually after work--they turn DOWN the HVAC system and hope that those who need to breathe will leave, so the place doesn't look too crowded. I became faint twice while walking a mere 2mph, and only managed to go back 3 times in the past 2 months with similar results. I'm 37. Next came the $53 annual fee which I had forgotten about in my effort to block out the whole fainting thing. It was time to put this horse down. But of course there's a $10 cancellation fee! Surprise! Whatever corporate strategy they have, part of it includes charging people to leave, then making sure they do so. Becasue it's no good for the place to look packed whenever someone new comes in to sign up. I read another review where they charged the guy WAY more than $10 to cancel, claiming he never came in to cancel. So when I go and do it, I'll not only make sure to get all the printouts and signatures and everything they have on me, I'll cancel my credit card when I get home so they can't continue to charge me by claiming that I "never came in to cancel" or some other scheme (You can't cancel over the phone, by they way.) I only signed up to do some cardio out of the Florida heat. But I'll take my chances passing out for free out in the fresh air, than paying to do it at YouFit. read more

First of all allow me to make a disclaimer: YouFit is not my primary gym. Fortunately, my employer provides a large gym with full amenities and a variety of classes. I go to my employer's gym during the week and YouFit on the weekends only. YouFit has everything I need for quick weekend workouts. All I really need are free weights, weight machines, treadmills, and ellipticals. They have just that plus an area specifically designated for stretching. The gym is very small however and can become crowded very easily. Although I do not use them, they have personal trainers available if desired. I pay $10 a month for my membership, which I think is a good bargain considering how often I use it and how well of a workout I get. Beware of their big fees in addition however! The only reason why I wouldn't make this my primary gym is because it is, like I stated above, very small, and they do not offer a variety of fitness classes. read more

Please be advised, this review and rating affects only the YouFit at Hollywood. As a company, I will commend YouFit for being able to hold gym memberships at $10-$20 a month. That is an impressive price compared to the other gyms. Having said that, it's true when they also say "you get what you pay for". At this specific YouFit, most of the workout machines, handles, and other items are in poor condition. The grips on the handles are either ripped or non existent, and the leather in seats are damaged as well. Unlike the YouFit in Davie, the items here are not very well managed. Another con is that I see almost no employees walking around the gym to check on weights and other misplaced items. Nobody is cleaning up or managing the floor at all. All the employees are either standing behind the counter not doing much or sitting behind their desk. Speaking of the employees behind the counter, they're not as welcoming as the other gyms. They don't greet the members as they enter or exit, and when they scan our membership card they barely look at us. However, my biggest issue with this is gym is the lack of workout machines for calves and the placement of their ceiling fan and AC vent. The ceiling fan and AC vent is positioned so that it's absolutely freezing amongst 9+ workout machines - so when u sit there to do any workout, make sure you wear a jacket or put on a sweater. With these two issues combined, it's as if the gym is discouraging you to do leg day. There are way too many ellipticals and treadmills, and half of them are almost never used. Additionally, the workout stands and machines and not parallel with the mirrors on the wall. So when you look straight, you're actually staring at the person next to you. Oh, and the opened floor area for floor mats and weighted balls smell like crap. Advice: If you do enjoy having a YouFit membership, go to the one in Davie. There are employees that check on all the items, greet you, and everything is in great condition. Someone is always cleaning and managing the gym 24/7 - pretty much the exact opposite of the one here. Oh, some of the cable weights have the wrong weight labels on them (lbs/kg). I did the lime card zero down membership but ended up paying 42 dollars. Once I got home I realized the gave me the regular membership. I called right away and said come back in and we will make the adjustment. I went back in, I received the lime card but after 2 months my account wasnt adjusted I was still charged full price of 23.00 dollars for both December January and February. I signed up in December and only went 5 times. The said the gym will be 24 hours the one in oakwood plaza or the new one up the street are not 24 hours ... Its always over crowded from 5 p.m to close. It's hard to get a good work out in.... I may have to look for another gym. read more
