I recently started going to the gym... I really like it.. I was concerned that it was going to be packed or convoluted but luckily at the times that I go around 5:00 a.m. it's not I can work out before my job starts.. and it great. I don't understand why I am reading so many negative reviews.. and I always see the gym clean.. I don't see it dirty. This gym is super hot, there is no air circulation. I get building a sweat but I don't even feel recovered for my next set.

I have been attending this gym for the past week and so far I think is a good option price/benefit. I used to go to CrossFit and to OT and those two gyms were in the pricey side. I wanted to try doing things on my own and with more liberty that just doing a guided class. The gym has a good amount of machines and a lot of weights. I have been using the grass area to do my workouts. I go in the afternoon to avoid the peak hours. The bathroom are clean and the staff is kind. read more

Youfit needs to go bankrupt. I started working out at youfit clubs in January with a private trainer. My trainer didn't tell me he was switching me and after developing a rapport with him for a month traded me off to somebody else. I was upset because my trainer didn't even bother to tell me. I transferred to this gym with the staff having known how upset I was at the last gym and promise to take care of me at this one. My trainer Mike, is absolutely wonderful I've been training with him for the last 2 months and now for whatever reason he's notifying me that he's transferring and there are no other male trainers in the gym. Mind you I'm 2 weeks already paid into the next month. I'm clearly agitated because in three months I've had two trainers in one gym I don't feel like they're taking me seriously or understand the commitment that I'm making to come here and that a trainer is a motivation piece that if you swap out on a whim That it may affect how I feel or if I even want to come back. I spoke with a regional manager by the name of Ty. She was so unsympathetic to my situation He said "well you are responsible for the next month, and the trainers being transferred wasn't his problem" obviously when asking I'd like to cancel my gym membership if I'm going to be 6 weeks with a total stranger. He was more adamant about fulfilling the company's policy than my satisfaction. The saddest part was that I was in the shower before I came to the gym today really excited about what I would look like in a year's time from now. those dreams were squandered here today and I want everyone to know that if you're looking for a lifestyle change do not go to youfit. They will get you started but it is not the place to continue. it's in the least bit surprising that I was the only person training at that gym. Sure there were some older ladies that would maybe do two days a week but I was the only committed male in that gym with a trainer four to five times a week and my trainer let me know of that as well. it's no surprise no one wants to give this company money for this program because this company has absolutely no consideration for its clientele. $600 isn't a problem so long as I can continue with the same trainer and not have someone new who doesn't know my strengths what exercises I'm good at or what things are 35-year-old can lift and what he cannot. Not only is it a risk to my health it's a waste of my time and money. Buyer beware. read more

I think it's great that you have an area reserved for personal training. What I don't understand is if it is not being used why you would not allow people to use it to do their planks or crunches. And then you send an employee to kick a guest out of the area. The "stretch zone" is in front of the janitors closet. The janitor (very sweet lady btw) has to come in and out so you can't actually do your routine without being constantly stopped or interrupted. read more

I like coming here because it's close to my home and it's clean. However, I do find it inconvenient that the same guest I bring every single day needs to show his ID. It's a time consuming process especially when you are in a rush and there are various people trying to check in. Not only does the guest have to show ID but give my phone number and his as well. I find this to be a little excessive when it's the same person everyday. Maybe IDs can be scanned into the system and the guest can be looked up by only his phone number. read more

I am upset that YouFit has lack of consideration for their members. During tough times like what we are going thru with COVID-19, it is nerve wrecking that they would still charge for a membership while the gyms have been closed. i have not received one email from the company letting me know or anyone know why they would still charge the membership fee or what plans are in mind. There are many people without a job and with limited income and shouldn't have to be paying for something they are not using. This is the cleanest gym with the most amazing staff ever!!! Squeeky clean and the friendliest staff, my FAVORITE gym by far!!!

I come to this gym almost every day and it works for me. The gym has several cardio machines such as treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, and more. The free weights range from 5 pounds to 90 pounds. They also do a great job of keeping the gym clean and organized. Every once in a while they offer a Boot Camp classes or challenges that you can participate in for an extra fee. I like you fit gyms, they are everywhere and are very cheap, only $10 a month. If you pay $20 you can go to any Youfit and bring someone free as many times as you want. They have showers and lockers. The only negative is that you never really see the staff ever picking up the weights or putting them back in place, you have to search for them and this location is quit small compared to the other ones. read more

Seriously. Everyone who complains needs to just visit their local la fitness and appreciate what you have here. I just left you fit to try out la fitness because of child care. I was surprised how everyone just left dumbells and plates everywhere. No one had respect for their gym. I was lucky enough to get a refund because I left within 3 days. You fit isn't like a Miami iron gym or golds gym in terms of serious bodybuilding gym culture but at least it's kept clean and organized. That's why I don't give it 4 stars. But to give it 2 or 3 stars. I'm just rolling my eyes at those comments. If you need a standard gym with decent prices. You can't beat it. Things I expect from a gym: 1. Cleanliness 2. Up to date equipment 3. Friendly service 4. Fun workout music 5. An array of different exercise classes Sadly, this YouFit lacks most of these. When I enrolled with them I did it because it was close to home and they had a great price $20.00 a month and I can bring a friend for free, and use of a tanning bed, although I don't use tanning beds at all. (By the way, you can also enroll for $10.00 a month, no enrollment fee). I just thought it was a pretty good deal regardless. However, every time I go, I cringe. The service is meh, it smells, the members hardly ever clean the machines after they use them and employees sure as hell don't reinforce the rule. Most days there is at least 1 or 2 machines that are broken or closed for repairs. Maybe I am spoiled. but the gyms I have been to employees make sure all the equipments are in working order and spotless. This gym hardly ever offers exercise classes, and when they do they're usually between 10-4 PM. Hi, welcome to the real world, YouFit on 16th street but most people have a 9-5 and can't attend your one miserable aerobics class. They don't offer anything on weekends that I know of. The one positive of this gym is that I don't feel judged. I have been to gyms where the members go there dressed in their finest workout clothes, girls in makeup, staring at each other, which is so ridiculous to me. YouFit isn't pretentious. This youfit tries hard to help its members, they hire women, have a more diverse staff, and overall had friendlier desk people...They do a good job, and compared to LA Fitness's weight room during the height of the pandemic, youfit was enforcing mask rules much more clearly which made it possible for me to do my workouts there. read more

ahh! where to begin!?!! The only reason I signed up at this gym is because my friends go there and we workout together. At first I thought $10 a month is great, well they charged me $20 initiation fee (or whatever they call it) now if I decide along the line that I dont want to attend the gym anymore and cancel it, they will charge my credit card $25 cancellation fee, will I get charged if I smile too?!! Ohhh! And let's not forget the annual fee of $30 plus tax (which he never mentioned 'cause he knew I wouldn't have signed up) very clever on their part! 1. The place always smells horrible!!!!. 2. I think it's imperative to have paper in the ladies locker room (other than toilet paper). 3. The machines are outdated and innadequate. I'm barely 5'3" and 110lbs but I lift weights and these machines (none of them) were made for small people like me. 4. If I wanted to visit any other location (they just opened up one close by on 40st. and 112ave) I won't be allowed in. I'm sure I'll have to pay a lot more of a monthly fee plus God knows what other fee they can think of. 5. It's always full of teenagers, not all but most, are not there to seriously workout....waste of space!! Which is not much to begin with! (I know! Not much can be done about this issue). This gym is small compared to other Youfit's. Everything feels very cramped and classes are held in the middle of the gym instead of a separate room. This review should help determine whether you should join or not! Obviously, me giving it two stars is already a bad sign. Currently I commute between Boca Raton & Miami on a weekly bases, so I have access to Boca's 2 youfits and this one in Miami. Now focusing on specifically the one in Miami, as others have mentioned: it's old, small, does have a musty smell, lousy music, extremely outdated equipment, and not many machines to begin with. Now with any youfit, with the cheap price you can expect a small gym and less equipment. I would ONLY recommend this gym to someone who is self-motivated to go to a gym and is familiar with working out. With youfits cheap price it's very appealing for newbies to join this gym, but you will quickly be discouraged at this particular one because of its appearance and other shortcomings. Now on the other hand it's shocking what the same price for a membership will get you in Boca Raton. In a nutshell it's bigger, newer, nicer, etc. etc. Bottom-line youfit is a very good gym (very good), unfortunately this one on 107 ave is horrible and wouldn't suggest you wasting your time nor MONEY on this place. read more

Don't get me wrong I like this gym, it's around where I live and it's not pricey at all. But being in west palm beach these past few days I've seen that they have a very well maintained gym. Here in Miami it's not that welll maintained. sometimes you want to use a machine but you can't because a group of fives guys gather around and start talking inappropriate things so you have to wait till they are done which takes them like an hour or two to leave that machine. The staff isn't that great either, they are kind of Bi-Polar, they will greet you whenever they want. read more

I wanted to cancel my membership before the year ended and three employees told me the same thing that either I pay $100 or wait for my membership to end and i did but they renewed it and got away with charging me for four months and an annual fee! Never again!! I didn't get my money back and no one helped me out, the manager wasn't around those three times I went to talk to her and I had to end up paying them $25 to the membership I never authorized. Ok get this. I posted the review on Yelp and was contacted almost immediately by a manager who apologized and worked with me to resolve it. Bottom line is they refunded everything they should have refunded. My "contract" (ball and chain/ pound of flesh) was also rescinded. All's well that ends well, right? WRONG. After even getting a new AMEX card (a measure AMEX recommended to prevent any possibility of an illegitimate charge after cancelling my contract with YOUFIT), Youfit waited three months and -- VOILA-- started charging me again in September under a different name! AMEX failed to detect it (AMEX deserves a whole other scathing review). So since September 2015 through today, April 1, 2016, Youfit has been quietly fleecing me, with no small help from AMEX's crap procedures. This gym is like herpes. You can't get rid of it. I've had a personal trainer now for a few months. Josh works with my schedule and has helped me tremendously. He considers who his client is and what it is we need for improvement. The (now) manager, Christopher, is the best I've seen in the Glendale Az. location and I've been a member for over 2 years, He doesn't waltz through the place like he's king, rather, he reaches out to the members to make certain they are getting what they want from a gym. Worst Youfit I have ever been to. The machines are dirty and most of the padding there have rips in them. GROSS!!! Honestly I was excited to try this Youfit out since it was right across the street from FIU. I was hoping to go there right after studying at the library, but I would rather take the drive back to the one in my neighborhood. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS ONE. Furthermore, the employees are not helpful at all. The only job that the front desk girl has is to scan someone in, but she was too busy on her phone and didnt' bother even looking up at us.
