At check in we got a goody bag for our pup, and though our big breed didn't have much gallop space…read morein the K9 park, he had a good walk on the trail along the Lumberton River, which was easy to find off the campground loop. A pet-friendly journey for sure. The store looks well-stocked with cold drinks for all ages, local brews, some souvenirs and RV supplies, and a few groceries. This is a passing-through kind of KOA as it's right on the highway, but the sound wasn't the worst. We didn't peek at the facilities as we were too busy hiding in the AC of our RV, but the WiFi was strong, and it was a perfect spot between Savannah and DC, with yummy eats nearby. We'd come back.

The reservation and check-in was easy and our site was ready upon our early afternoon arrival. The staff in the office was very friendly and explained all the ammenties and drew the directions to our site on the map provided there was no escort to our site but it was very easy to find and get set up. The site was very level and all the utilities were in excellent condition, we were at site 41 which is one of the premium sites which included a large concrete patio with a few chairs around a sunken fire pit and another high top table with four chairs which all looked fairly new. This site was very clean and there was plenty of room between all the sites unlike a lot of KOA Campgrounds. This KOA worked out perfect for us and one I will gladly recommend to others and one I will definitely stay at again if traveling to or through the area...

The office crew was great! Even met a woman from our home state. Dogs were all CUTE!…read more But, the landscape crew mows, blows, etc while your RV is in its rented spot. You park on the concrete pad, that is where they blow. They mow, etc your spots grass that is inches away. Actually they have to go under the slide-outs, to mow. No warning/permission was given, they just invade your privacy. As we packed up on the last day to exit the park, 2 male's continually passed by, like vultures, time & time, again. What is this the Mafia? To much pressure! With the cost of RV's these days & possible damage, extra training should be involved.

It was super easy to book online and they called right after to confirm and share details before we arrived. Since it was December I only booked a few weeks before but I'm sure during peak season you'll have to book earlier. There are 100+ sites that have a concrete pad with a picnic table and fire pit. Check-in was simple but know there are two entrances and one is locked until you get a code. Devon at the front desk was very friendly. She shared some area activities and restaurants. The park was clean, well organized and there was a lot of large RV's. It has a beautiful view of the intracoastal with decks, a trail around a small pond, kayak rentals, dog park and activities hall. We missed all their Christmas events but enjoyed walking around and hanging out at our site. We used the fire pit every night for dinner. They also have a bathhouse with separate bathrooms which was nice but could use a little refreshing. The staff was awesome cleaning the grounds and they even had daily trash pickup from your site. We will definitely come back to this park.
