But what I am surprised about is Dr. Esther Lee's apparent lack of knowledge or willingness to talk about anything other than the very basic stuff around cleanings/fillings. For example, I had a question about a front tooth moving out of place. I wanted to know if it was anything serious/do I need to do anything about it in the near future. She appeared to be surprised at the question (I guess she wanted to start the cleaning as soon as possible). She mumbed .... "uh, I dunno .... maybe see an orthodontist?". This is not the only time. Many times in the past her way of responding would be .... "uh, ... vague answer" One would think that after 4-6 years of dental school/residency, a dentist would be willing to offer better service/advice rather than suggesting a referral to a specialist for every small thing. So, if you only need basic stuff done (apparently these "dentists" love making their money only through cleanings & fillings), then this place is ok .... but don't expect anything else.

His kind and calm demeanor makes teeth cleaning visits more comfortable and he takes time to answer all my questions. He never pushes for treatments like teeth filling or other but is very through with annual checkups. We do the gum depth check and X-rays annually. He suggested easing my way into flossing using floss picks or trying once a week. This kind of gentle encouragement has turned me into a daily flosser. The front desk staff are also kind.

They were pretty focused on their routine and didn't talk much, but they got through the information clearly. When the doctor came in, they asked detailed questions about what brought me in. They seemed to want to get a full picture of what was going on and weren't just jumping to conclusions. I liked that they took time checking the physical signs and followed up with questions during the process. They gave me a few suggestions to try and explained what to look out for moving forward. It was a decent visit overall. Nothing too surprising, but I left feeling like they covered what needed to be covered.
