I've had a fantastic experience with Dr. Raja and the team at Trident Smiles. A crown on one of my upper molars unexpectedly came off after about a year, and instead of simply replacing it, Dr. Raja took the time to investigate why it had failed. She showed me the digital bite analysis and explained how my bite, limited clearance around the tooth, and wear on my canine could be contributing to excessive forces on my teeth. She referred me to an endodontist to evaluate the tooth, which ultimately allowed me to save it through root canal retreatment. I really appreciated that she didn't just treat the immediate problem but looked at the underlying factors that could potentially cause similar problems in the future. Dr. Raja also took the time to walk me through Invisalign using an actual digital before-and-after simulation. She explained how improving my bite could create additional clearance around the molar, potentially allow for a porcelain crown instead of metal, and at the same time address spacing and crowding that I've personally been unhappy with for years. What I appreciate most is how thoroughly she explains the why behind her recommendations. I never felt like I was simply being told what treatment to get. She showed me the information, answered all my questions, and gave me options so I could make an informed decision. The office has also been incredibly accommodating regarding the crown, and I really appreciate how they worked with me after the original crown failed. I'm now moving forward with Invisalign, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the treatment improves both my bite and my smile. I'll have to come back and update this review once the treatment is complete! Dr. Raja is knowledgeable, caring, thorough, and clearly invested in the long-term health of her patients. This place is like the spa of dentist offices. So thrilled they're in network with Aetna now, Dr. Raja and Dr. Ta took great care of me for my fillings, and I'm very happy with the results. Dr. Ta was extra gentle with the anesthesia, which I appreciated. Their office and equipment are super clean and top notch, state of the art. Upon arrival, the front office staff are friendly and welcoming. There's even a mini bar and nice massage chairs. The rooms are also beautifully decorated with a relaxing beach theme and streaming tv on the ceilings. They even offer you a lavendar scented hot towel at the end. My son recently went to another appointment here, and it's funny how prices continually are different in between his appointments they told him that his private insurance hasn't paid for the exams but then he called his insurance and they confirmed they were already paid. Hmmm They take excessive X-rays billing his insurance and him over and over. And the dentist started grinding a tooth with a cavity in it after already doing multiple X-rays should of seen how deep the cavity is but says after grinding in to it causing more pain she says it's deeper than I thought? My son asked her well can you fix it ? She says well I can try ??? She is a so called dentist what do you mean you can try? This is unbelievable experience for him and I do not recommend anyone go here, it's all about money not patient care. They say they give cash discounts, well that is not good to pay cash when everyone at the front tells you an untrue and different amount owed while looking straight at computer screen! I also love the efficiency of the dental staff, quick and precise but never felt rushed. Dental X-rays are always one of the least fun parts of a visit, the process still feels antiquated, but what are you going to do.
