After moving to and living in the Bay Area for 2 and a half years now, I finally found a dentist that I am comfortable with. I have visited 4 dentists so far and disappointed with all of them all for various reasons from lack of expertise to hard-selling treatments I absolutely do not need, to outdated offices and equipment, unhygienic standards, rude staff or just a lack of listening skills of the dentists themselves. I generally hesitate to write a review after the first visit as generally speaking the first visits seems to be all very 'nicey-nice'. I have visited Trident four times now, three of those visits were with Dr Raja and one visit was with Dr Ned who did my teeth cleaning. Both are super friendly and knowledgable and gave a detailed step-by-step explanation of what they were doing. I was very pleased at the quality of the work of both dentists. I was also interested in the latest non- invasive or least invasive way of treatments and both dentists were happy to answer all my questions. There is a TV on the ceiling with Netflix so educated myself with a couple of documentaries on health during the treatments too. (The only other dentist that had this was my dentist in Dubai who was also a gem!) The clinic itself is brand spanking new with all the latest state-of-the art equipment, super clean, hygienic on all my 4 visits and reminds me of a beautiful spa. They also have probably the best massage chair I've sat in, so have tried to go a bit earlier to my appointments to have a little bit of a relaxing massage. The clinic has a selection of drinks and snacks and they also offer a free uber ride within a certain distance which I took advantage of on one of my appointments as it was raining and late and didn't have an umbrella in order to walk back home. The staff are also super nice and friendly and explain insurance and co-payments quickly and efficiently on the spot so I know precise costs then and there (unlike some of the other previous clinics that needed to get back to me so I never knew what the bill would ultimately be). They also give a nice little gift bag to all their new clients. Dr Raja has thought outside the typical dental clinic box and provided not only the expertise that I expect of all dentists (but don't always get) but the atmosphere, facilities and overall experience of the clinic were great. I am not your average customer/patient and have very high expectations in general and pleased that Dr Raja has set the bar high also, I have no hesitation in recommending them. read more

I believe that patients have the right to be informed of any extra charges that may arise during their visit, especially if the services are not covered by insurance. This lack of transparency left me feeling a bit taken aback and uneasy about future visits to Trident Smiles Dental. On the positive side, the dental staff was friendly and professional throughout the process. However, I couldn't help but feel a sense of discomfort, knowing that I was expected to pay for something I was not previously informed about. As a result, my overall experience was tarnished by this hidden charge. In conclusion, Trident Smiles Dental should improve its communication with patients regarding the costs of additional treatments or services. Being transparent about pricing not only builds trust but also allows patients to make informed decisions about their dental care. While the cleanliness and quality of their dental services were satisfactory, the hidden charges for topical fluoride application were an unfortunate and disappointing surprise. I had a great experience with dental hygienist Lee and Dr. Ta! I went in for a deep cleaning, some fillings, and an Invisalign consult, and the entire process was a positive experience. I even mixed up my appointment time and showed up an hour early, and they offered to accommodate for me! Dental hygienist Lee was amazing during the deep cleaning. Super thorough but still gentle, and he made sure I was comfortable the whole time. He explained everything he was doing and gave really helpful tips without making me feel bad for not going to the dentist in a long time. Dr. Ta handled my fillings and Invisalign consult, and I couldn't be happier. The fillings were quick and painless, and she really paid attention to the fine details in re-shaping my tooth and making sure my bite was correct. She walked me through the Invisalign process in a way that made everything easy to understand. I really appreciated how honest and knowledgeable she was when answering all my questions. The whole team was friendly, professional, and made what could have been a stressful visit feel easy and even enjoyable. The price transparency was excellent and the massage chair in the lobby is a nice touch. I left feeling confident about my dental choices and excited to start Invisalign. This place ROCKS! The most modern dentistry I have ever been to in my life. There is a lot to share about my experience in this COVID world so be patient. COVID Preparedness: This place is 100% prepared for it. At the door they check your temperature using a touch-less thermometer to make sure you are not sick. Everyone in the clinic is wearing masks and gloves and they change them frequently throughout. During the dental procedure they put a see-through structure around your face to prevent water splash from spreading around the work area. I definitely felt at ease during the whole process as I was 100% sure I was sitting on a clean surface. Doctor/Staff: Dr. Raj was very friendly throughout and she made me feel relaxed and at ease during my visit. She seemed to be very knowledgeable and I am certain I will be coming back in the future for my dental health. Equipment & Facility: This is the most modern dental clinic I have ever been. Modern equppment, clean looks, beautiful paintings and art, a TV for you to watch Netflix during your procedure, sparkling water and other drinks. I will highly recommend this place. Just finished my Invisalign treatment at Trident Smiles Dental with Dr. Rajadhyksha (Dr. Raja) and very happy with the results. I started in January 2020 and finished this week. The process went very quickly, was very easy and really appreciate being able to take out the trays when I was eating. Since COVID hit early in my treatment, I was concerned that my progress would come to a standstill, especially since dental offices were closing for a while. Dr. Raja was able to continue providing me the trays and support remotely so that my progress never slowed. When dental offices opened back up for in-person visits, I appreciated all the extra precautions put in place at the office to deal with the pandemic, giving increased peace of mind. For adults not wanting to sport the 'metal mouth' of traditional braces, I would highly recommend Invisalign, which is pretty discreet and with masks in place since March, I have a great smile in place when the masks come off. If you are thinking about improving your smile, I would say give it a try and last word of advice, just be diligent about wearing your trays and you will be surprised at how quickly this goes. read more

The staff of Trident Smiles Dental are all amazing specially Nicole, she helped us a lot in explaining all the questions and concerns we had every time we visit at the clinic for our appointments. Nicole also helped me in setting up an appointment with Orthodontist even though that's beyond her duty and she carry a positive attitude all the time. Maan also did an awesome job in getting my xray done and she told the dentist right away my concern and been addressed accordingly, and Maan is very polite and approachable. I just had my first visit to Trident Smile Dental and it was fantastic! The staff at the front desk were super welcoming and I felt right at home. The visit with the doctor was informative and everything was explained. Never was any shaming done about how and when flossing should be done. Dr. Bhayani was amazing with my cleaning! She was gentle and very careful, especially around sensitive areas that normally send me jumping out of the chair. I'm pleased to report that Dr. Bhayani avoided hitting all sensitive spots during my cleaning. That alone deserves an A+++++. I also needed to get a couple of fillings replaced, so I stayed for a second appointment and was rewarded nicely for that. The doctor and her assistant were so considerate, making sure I was comfortable during the whole procedure. They have a mini fridge stocked with beverages, and a massage chair too! I recently had my first visit at Trident Dental in Sunnyvale and had a really great experience. The office was extremely clean, modern, and welcoming. They even had massage chairs in the waiting room, which was a really cool and made the visit feel much more relaxing. During my checkup, they found a few cracked fillings and were able to get me scheduled quickly to have them redone just a few days later. The staff was friendly, professional, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand throughout the process. The whole experience was smooth from start to finish. One thing I really appreciated was that each room had its own TV for patients to watch while getting dental work done, which helped make the appointment a lot more comfortable and less stressful. Came to Trident Smiles Dental to get an initial consult for Invisalign. They replied almost immediately to my email and I was able to set an appointment later that week. The first consult was great, Dr Raja explained the process very well and we did the iTuro scan on the same day to come up with an initial plan. The quote was reasonable as well and lower than the other orthodontists I had seen for the same treatment plan. So far we have completed the x-rays and decided to work on one my tooth before proceeding with the Invisalign treatment. This additional treatment matches with what my previous dentist has recommended as well. Overall the office is great to work with. You can watch Netflix while undergoing the treatment but I don't really care about that. Only annoying thing is the number of text messages they send to confirm your appointment but I can deal with that. read more

This is the best dental place I have ever visited. Not only the people working there are awesome, but the office interior, equipments, and service is extremely clean, hygienic, and modern. I would describe it as a whole another experience to come for an appointment here. I have had more than 10 appointments for dental cleaning, crowning, and fillings and each time was a seamless experience. Dr. Bhayani is the best. She is super calm, nice, and understanding while being professional. All the receptionists, dental assistants and dental hygienists are also super nice, welcoming, and caring.
