I popped in here last weekend because I was riding through Fanwood and I used Yelp to find the nearest nail salon. I liked that they had an available appointment within ten minutes, so I swung right on by and took a chance. I was impressed with the way Kelly took her time buffing my nails, making sure they were even, and cleaning my cuticles. Her attention to detail did not go unnoticed. My plan was to get a gel manicure and a regular pedicure, but after she started on my nails, I looked up at the price list and decided to forego the pedicure. This place is the most expensive I've seen locally and it's *not* luxury, so no--. $40 for a gel manicure and $30 for a regular pedicure. $70 altogether. I normally get my nails done every 3 weeks so that's a hefty price tag considering I was paying $40-45 pre-pandemic and $55 after nail salons reopened last summer. $70? plus tip? too much. I would still recommend this place for the clean environment, attention to detail, timely appointments, etc. But as for me, I'm on the hunt for more reasonable prices. read more

Perfect spot for nails after dropping off kids for day care! I had no appointment but they take me right away, they have many tech working there in the morning, so i think its pretty easy experience. Only had regular manicure $16(yes price increased, so else where), but they do take time to take care of my hands and nails, not like some places if you only doing regular manicure, they rush your services! initially I gave them A great Rating thought I'd found a New Nail Home since moving here but can I say ZERO..... The service is rushed which to me is very unacceptable and unwelcoming you go to a salon to relax. I gave them a chance but after several visits and now my nails look as if I scale walls for a living. I've been going to YNC for about 3 to 4 months now and I cannot recommend them enough. It's a small nail salon but the staff is really nice and professional, the owner is super friendly and welcoming. The salon itself is very clean and relaxing. As for the work, I've had my nails done by three nail tech's and they've all done a really great job. I especially love Sara's work, she is very detailed and takes her time to make sure the nails look gorgeous. 10/10 for me! read more

I'm giving this nail salon 1 star. The pedicure I received was done horribly. The nail tech did not remove cuticles and the the service was done fast,. She also seemed inexperienced. The owner young did my next service of removing my gel polish. The experience was extremely painful, she over used the files on my nails to the point she left them sore and almost peeling. Once I began to complain she was dismissive and told me to shoosh. The worst client treatment I have experienced at a nail salon. Extremely rude and unprofessional staff. Went here because my normal place was booked. There isn't a mask requirement - some of the staff had them on but a few didn't. There is glass shield at manicure chairs only - none for pedicures. I Had a 430 appointment and at 445 after my service not having started I decided to leave. A woman stopped me and said they would start me now. I went for a gel manicure (all my nails except 3 that were tips) and one of my nails needed repair. The guy "James" used the electric file to the point of one nail having a dent in it - his response "I fix it". I asked for almond shape which is not what I got. The nail design I wanted they did not have materials to do and instead suggested glitter polish (which I declined). My 8yr old daughter got her nails polished. I decided against having them paint her feet). The total cost for my nails and daughter was $74! My gel manicure and 1 nail repair was $63! $63 for a gel manicure and fix one nail? I had a great experience getting a pedicure at Young's yesterday (8/14/21)! The salon was clean, they were able to take me right away (I was a walk in), there were dividers between stations, and everyone was courteous and respectful! As an added bonus everyone was masked, staff and clients alike. I didn't feel rushed and Ana did a nice long scrub on my gross heels. ETA: The polish on one of my toenails is already smudged. Most expensive pedicure I've ever had, and it didn't even last 3 hours. Changing my review from 2 to 1 star. What a ripoff! I have to say, I wasn't impressed. My gel mani came out alright, but they weren't able to match the color for my pedicure. When the woman who had been doing my toes was unable to match my manicure polish color, she moved onto another customer with no explanation. A few minutes later, a man came and did a rush job on my toes with a hideous orange that wasn't even close to the coral on my fingers. Worst of all they charged $75 for a gel mani and regular pedi which is so overpriced it's absolutely offensive. Also, for that incredibly inflated price, they don't even do hot stones with their pedicure which is a dealbreaker for me even when the service is reasonably priced. Never, ever again! read more

I recommend getting a manicure and pedicure if you are not in a rush because the staff was friendly, the results were beautiful and reasonably priced but our appointments began late. We scheduled two manicures and pedicures at 10 am on Friday. We arrived early but the pedicure chairs were occupied. So we had to wait 10 minutes. Each service was about 30 minutes so we were done by 11 am. A manicure costs $12 and a pedicure costs $25. You can pay for services with a credit card but tip needs to be paid in cash. read more

After researching numerous nail salons within my area, I came across Young Nail Café. I'm so happy that I decided to bring my mom there for her 75th Bday. We LOVED it! Very warm and friendly. We were greeted with smiles. WE even met a native Brooklyn'nite, small world. The owner Young was the sweetest ever. So humble and genuinely concerned about making us comfortable and happy. The pedicure was simply Amazing and it was so relaxing. The longest pedicure I've ever had. I will definately be returning with my daughter for a Mother and Daughter day out! I will not be coming. I came in on a friday around 4:30, and it was packed, but because i made an appointment they were able to take me right away. When i first sat down i had a women doing my nails, but right after she took my polish off James sat down. He started filing my nails without asking me/saying anything to me completely altering the shape. I had a tip on one of my nails and he completely filed it all the way off. When i corrected him he looked agitated. Every time he was done with my hand he would toss it. I showed him a picture of what i wanted (matte orange nails) and he proceeded to put a glossy top coat on them. Again i corrected him and again he was agitated. Not even a week later and I am dying to go to another nail salon and get them re-done. James painted my nails so unevenly. The Matte top coat looks terrible- which by the way i was charged an extra $5 for! Also was charged around $6 to replace the tip that James filed off- and it's not on properly! Had really high hopes for this place, but James ruined my experience and i will NOT be coming back. read more

YAY! I found my new nail shop! I'm in town visiting from Cali and needed my nails done badly. I went to another shop last Thursday and they did a terrible job. Lost a nail by Saturday night...Really?! I walked into Young Nail Café today and was immediately welcomed by the owner. The shop was bright, clean and relaxing. Young is so friendly and did such an amazing job repairing the broken nail and fixing the others. I'm giving 5 stars and the highest recommendation to Young Nail Café. This place is not good for your nails, it was very small to accomodate everyone, and the owner was rushing almost every customer, the last and the first time I was here was last year, they didnt gave me a good service at least, I want regular pedi and mani and my pedicure wasn't good since one latina woman did it but then no knowing she was assigned to some other loyal customer so i left hanging and then the owner who looked rude to me did it and it was ended up devastated,!! Too bad so the next say I went to other salons which I felt good and they've treated my pedicure as what I want it to be, Overall, I would not recommend this place, the waiting time is forever and its not a cozy and comfy place to relax. No wonder this salon gets impeccable reviews! The overall decor of the salon is very welcome and very clean as others have noted. I got a regular pedicure done by Theresa for $25. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is based off of my pedicure experience. Though it turned out pretty nicely, there is still a bit of polish that should have been cleaned up and attention to perfection in terms of even polish wasn't given - but I am looking at my nails very closely. The gel manicure which is $35 was done by Young and I give that 5 stars. She paid such close attention to every detail of manicure and I could tell she cared about the quality. I will definitely be returning here for the gel manicure for sure. They are also currently running a special for $49 - gel mani and pedicure. read more

I was recommended this salon so I went to just get a simple gel fill first she asked me to trim my nails so I said yes just a little she cut them way down. My nails were a coffin shape but she made them square and short. Then she proceed with the gel fill nothing special. When I asked for nail art on two fingers she could not do it she said her customers don't get nail art. How can you be in this business and not do nail art. So someone else did and it was a simple flower nothing special. At the end the cost was 91.00 for what a gel fill and two fingers with kindergarten nail art never again. To top it off my nail broke 3 days later. This business just cares about the money never again. Save your money and go anywhere else but this nail salon. read more

And instead of properly cutting my cuticles he went and filed one of them down with the drill and I started bleeding. Who uses a drill, meant for filing down acrylics, on a delicate cuticle??? Came across Young Nail Cafe via Yelp. Called in and made an appointment with Young for a gel mani and she quickly sat me down to remove my previous set of gels. Although quite gentle, I was apprehensive with what I would see on my nails as she rushed through the overall process of filing/shaping (great at shaping), cuticle trimming (it wasn't as clean it could be), and gel application. I was nervous to look down because how quick she moved through it but was utterly surprised when it came out absolutely clean. Though she moves quick, she was very meticulous and couldn't have been happier! Two and a half later, my gels are still holding strong. As a powerlifter who deals with chalk almost daily, I was happy to see that the gel has not shown an actual cracked affect as it does when I go to Nail Studio in Colonia. The edges are still in tact with some chipping/peeling, but overall I'm impressed with how much they've held up! The PEDI was OK. Hopefully I'lll be able to find someone there who I am comfortable with that does a great job. All the employees wore name tags and unfortunately I can't remember who did my pedicure but she was rough, snarled at me and acted like she didn't want to be there. As I paid, Young explained their discount program to me I believe you receive 5-10% back every time you spend $49 (a gel mani & pedi is $49) which you can use at any time which is a great plus! The only CON that I noticed was that the employee/manager connection was a little off. While I did see a lot of employees sitting around just waiting, Young, as the manager had to dictate their every task to them and even complained "I shouldn't have to tell you everything." The employees spoke back to Young, but she would respond back "Don't talk back" making it a bit awkward on the client end. Any type of issues like that should be handled in the back of the house and not in front of other clients. Other than, would definitely go back! read more

The best nail salon in my area as far as I'm concerned. The staff is personable and accommodating. I make my appointment the day before and they happily greet me by name when I arrive. Walk-ins are welcomed, too. I'm not interested in fancy or seasonal decorations, just a professional, gel polish manicure in a quiet, relaxed setting. Since they are open until 7:30 PM during the week, I know I can stop in after work. I picked up the Membership Card and save up points for a discount. Great place! read more

I have always had a positive experience at Young's Nail Cafe, except today. The service was horrendous. A new tech, older Korean lady named "Kelly" was very rude. If I asked her a question she got a serious attitude. For example, I asked for more aloe since my skin was red and burning, she replied "oh my god." Eventually, Young was called in dissolved the situation. However, she dismissed what I was saying. No one should ever let "Kelly" wax their eyebrows. Overall, I felt disrespected, by both women. This is my first time visiting Young Nail Café, however it definitely wont be my last. Young was very pleasant and knowledgeable. My gel manicure came out very nice. I liked how I was able to get in and out for the most part. What took time was getting a powder soaked off, from when I was at a different nail salon previously.
