This grocery store has the friendliest staff! I try to get a deli sandwich every week and they always do a great job! I like how they have cute, thoughtful gifts and greeting cards too. This is literally the only store with food in this tiny little town. So you don't really have a choice unless you want to drive to Sonora a half hour away. It is a very small grocery store. They have a mini deli and bakery area with the basics. The fruit/veggies is also pretty tiny. So if you need basic stuff you should be good to go. read more

Big disappointment! Very expensive, even sale items are not bargains. Cashier was so rude I was speechless. Then a so called mgr. I think his name I Jason, comes into the register area and interrupts my transaction while the checker is trying to ring me out and creates havoc on the register, I ended up so frustrated I went to the dollar store next door, got the essentials I needed and paid half as much. Very bad business there, go elsewhere there's plenty of stores more interested in you as a customer besides $$$$$$ terrible gouging. Jason was a jerk and could have cared less if he screwed up the transaction. Waisted at least 15 minutes of my time not to mention I went elsewhere to get where I needed be that day. Yuck! Never Never. IGA. If mr young knew about Jason's character he wouldn't even be working there! By the way what happened to sensitivity to customers who help pay his wages!! Phew!!! Thank you Payless on being so CONVENIENTLY located within a mile from our house rental at Conner Estates. My family rented a house in an estate and of course we forgot to pack eggs.. We stayed in the area for about 4 days. Went to the store every morning! Employees were friendly and helpful :) This small shopping center satisfied our needs. These guys doa great job keeping a nice store with a great assortment considering the rural location. Staff is friendly. Bakery-Deli serves up some great stuff. The breakfast burrito is good as well as the muffins. I like to call ahead on my way to the office and have a breakfast burrito and hot cup of coffee waiting for me as I pass through town. read more

Not sure why some so grumpy on here with reviews. This place is great, has a great meat department and a terrific deli. Copperopolis is lucky to have such a great grocery store local. Of course things might not be as cheap as a larger town/larger grocery is, but these guys are not getting rich off providing great fresh groceries to folks that dont have to drive 30 minutes further. Went in for bread and found $35 of things I wasn't planning on buying. The clerk asked me if I wanted to buy a bag. I said: no I'll take it to my car and bring the basket back. Whenever I shop I always bring back a cart from the parking lot too (was a bag boy when I was a kid). They said "no, the manager says you can't take them out of the store. So.....I left everything and went to the Dollar Store next door. They had no problem with me taking the basket. And yes, I brought it back inside the store. Is this how a local family run business is supposed to treat their customers. Chase them away. read more

This is a small market in the in a small town, with no other market for 30 miles or so. Hence the prices are a little on the higher side. However when we rolled through, we just got lucky. Almost every item we were looking for was on sale this week!!! Which made the prices the same as my home town. I did notice the regular prices on said items and WOW!! Very expensive. Which i understand being the only market for miles!!! The market is on the older side, but is well maintained! The checker that helped us out was very nice and helpful. The store seemed clean to the naked eye, but upon further inspection I notice the top of canned goods were a little dusty. For the most part it was clean and tidy.. The beer was cold, A+ for that. Other than that, its a small town market and if u need something, u have to come here when ur in the area!!! read more

Well, I can't complain much here. I've lived in Copperopolis for over half of my life now. It's really the only place to go when you need something around the house! The next place would be 25 minutes up the hill! My parents have always gotten birthday cakes from their, and they always do a good job. There are always good deals on things from meats, to sodas, to energy drinks. The staff are very friendly, and will stand and talk with you if you want. read more

Clean store that is well stocked with quality products, employs friendly staff, offers a community notices board and there's plenty of parking. Oh... I've lived here BEFORE Payless IGA (Servidio's) Market came into being. This grocery store has competitive prices and specials. It is local and has great hours. The employees are friendly, professional, and very helpful. One more thing that many people do not know is that IGA gives back to the three communities in which they are located.
