Update after new ownership! I was worried that the food or service was going to change after the new ownership was completed. I mean, I was expecting the worst. What did I get? The same great food, the same great service, better coffee and the convenience of being able to pay by card (wth a fee). Are the prices a little higher? Yes; but what isn't these days? For wonderful pancakes cooked in butter, I'd pay it gladly. All the recipes are the same and boy am I glad. And the specials are always fun. I'd like to put my request in for a Corn Dog omelette special, please. I had it about 7 years ago and I still can taste it. My hubs would like the Cowboy Filet Mignon. Jose is a breath of fresh air. we "experienced" breakfast over this past weekend at Woods Creek Cafe in Jamestown. it took a little while for the four of us to be seated because seating is somewhat limited. it is a smaller cafe the wait was worth it. the single server was busy on a Saturday morning, but she was pleasant and efficient. everyone was pleased with their breakfast and we left clean plates for our server once we were done. i particularly enjoyed the Breakfast Tostada that i had. if we were not "tourists" i would absolutely become a regular here for breakfast read more

We have stopped here many times thru the years for Breakfast. We were happy that they were open . A lot of restaurants are closed on Mondays . Woods Creek was Open ! Yahoo for us ! ( note they are closed Tuesday and Wednesday, open till 2pm ) Carol took wonderful care of us . Very friendly and attentive! We order breakfast. There are sandwiches and burgers if you prefer. Hubby ordered the Corned Beef Hash and Eggs a side order of short stack of fluffy pancakes. I ordered Linguisa and eggs w/ Hashbrowns and Sourdough toast . Very large portions and oh so delicious! Looking for a place to brunch before we head back home and this place was a great spot! So charming- when you walk in there's so many cow decor. It feels like you walked into a granny's living room and you're eating at someone's home. The hash browns - extra crispy were so goood! Another member in our party enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. Took a trip to Jamestown to try out this restaurant and they did not disappoint! I had thr stuffed French toast....OMG. my boyfriend had the chicken friend steak and he said it was great! The ambiance was fantastic...cows cows & more cows! Only down side was no soda machine ...cans only. But easily can overlook that for the awesome food. They didn't have good vegan options and what they had was really expensive. $13 for coffee, oatmeal and fruit just isn't that great. Us vegans really love cows too so you'd think a cow themed restaurant might have some Beyond Burger but what the hey. The server was kind but she initially didn't know anything on the menu was vegan and someone in my party stepped in to try and question what all the ingredients were etc. Wish they had better options! Also, the waiting area to be seated was freezing, I wish they had a heater outside and a sign asking people not to let the warm air out. This place feels like walking into your grandma's house! You instantly feel calm and at home when you enter here. Sounds and smells from the kitchen set the ambiance for this cozy little retreat. The cutest, quirkiest little diner we least expected had the BEST breakfast. Our table ordered the banana break French toast, biscuits and gravy, a cheese omelet, and a short stack of hot cakes. This diner is amazing! The service and food were over the top. We went the on Saturday and Sunday mornings. We didn't have to wait with time but we got lucky because both days right after we were seated and ordered, there was a wait list. Give it a try , you won't be disappointed. I am super late with the review of this spot we stopped at on our way to see fall foliage last year. The cow decor inside is just so much fun and the foliage from the nearby tree sitting outdoors is picturesque too. Our server could not have been friendlier despite how busy they were with a packed house indoors and out. The corn beef and hash came with an option to have pancakes as the side (yes, please) that makes it the perfect sweet and savory similar to fried chicken and waffles. I tried the breakfast tostada and the different textures and flavors just wow'd me. Crunch from the crispy tortilla and iceberg lettuce worked so well with the refried beans, over medium egg, creamy sour cream, and slight kick from the salsa. I love local cafes, they have a lot of character. My grandma lives in the area so we all went out for lunch. First time for us all. There's a sign that says cash only or takes checks. A lot of places in this area have notes posted like this. I had a French dip and salad and it was delicious. I had a nice Dr Pepper Float in a cute vintage glass, ice cream tasted so good! This is a nice cute little breakfast place. They only accept cash so beware! They have just basic standard breakfast items and they are not pricey at all. And they're decorations are so cute. Woods Creek Cafe is unique. It felt like an old style at home diner decorated with a cow theme. Cows were on the walls, ornament in every available spot, a cow sofa and pillows were by the door. Apparently they were left there from a previous owner. The waitress was very friendly and her service was excellent. She even made sure I went into the 2 bathrooms which were decorated in a Marilyn Monroe and Elvis theme. We just had a light breakfast, so I can't recommend anything, but what we had was good. read more

We used to love this place! We went every weekend. When the owners changed and all the great staff left it just hasn't been the same. We gave it a few try's and switched to a different spot in Columbia. The service was fine- it's the food that suffered. It used to be at least a 10 minute wait, now it's practically empty.
