#12 Smocked Burger with a Lamb Burger pattie ($12.99)
Ron R.

As the popularity of Foodlandia grows, I'm surprised no one has Yelped these guys yet. It's not often that I'm in a burger mood, but when I hear about a new burger joint opening up then I'm willing to give them a try. I've gone to about three other food trucks before trying these guys. But what hooked me was seeing "Chili Cheese Fries" on their Special white board. So for only $13.99, I went with the Smash Burger Deal with Chili Cheese Fries. Picked it up and stupidly did not take a pic. The carton was fully filled with the burger and fries. I brought it home, and the fries were still crispy! So that's a plus in my book! As for the smash burger itself, it was juicy. The bun was soft and was just cheesy meaty goodness! So good that I told myself, next time I'm trying the Lamb Burger. Second trip, I only ordered the #12 Smocked Burger with a lamb pattie for $13.99. No fries, but not a big deal. The burger was topped with cheese, turkey bacon, grilled onions, and special sauce. Now this I ate fresh on the spot, and enjoyed very much. My main goal was to try the lamb meat, and I gotta say it smelled lovely, not heavy, and it tasted fantastic! As for service, I didn't have much interaction from the guy at the register, but also no issue while ordering. I'll likely be back as I'm curious to try their mushroom swiss burger, breakfast burger, or their fried chicken burger. Give them a try, and let me know what you think!

bomb burger!! came here for lunch on a tuesday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised! not much of a wait. meat was cooked to perfection and the caramelized onions harmonized with the cheese perfectly. didn't know it came with a grilled jalapeño, but it was gooood. fries were airy but crunchy, I couldn't stop eating them! not sure whether the burger or the fries stole the show, but this is definitely one of the best burger spots in hillsboro!

Burger was nothing special. The sauce they put on the burger and as dipping for the fries is terrible. I'll go elsewhere next time.

A great time to grab a gyro and enjoy the pleasant outside atmosphere during the spring and summer. Not much interaction while ordering as I knew what I wanted. No issues with service. Ordered the Lamb Gyro ($10.99) which has lamb slices, lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles, feta, and tzatziki sauce on top. The gyro slices were cut fairly thin. Plus I recall only two small bites of pickle lacking any cruch. The pita bread held up well, but it ended a bit wet near the end. To me this was just an average gyro at best. Nothing stood out because the slices needed more flavor. I'll be back to try their shawarma or falafel, but probably not any time soon. The search for the best gyro in Hillsboro continues...

The menu isn't too expansive, but definitely has something for everyone. I LOVE their pho, it's currently #1 on my list. The broth is delicious, and the steak is very yummy. I will eventually try something else I'm sure but don't sleep on the pho! Service is always polite and swift. We've already been back twice since our first visit.

We arrived just before the dinner rush and were promptly seated. The menu is quite varied and includes some non-Vietnamese choices. Unfortunately, they did not serve my favorite, banh xeo. We ordered the lobster wontons, but quite honestly, I could not tell there was lobster in them because the cream cheese dominated. The broken rice pork chop plate was delicious, especially with the crispy fried egg on top of the rice. The combo bun was substantial with pork, chicken, char siu and shrimp and was quickly polished off by the man in our party. The $3 Asahi and Obsidian stout beers were a bonus. The dragon mural is compelling as you walk in to the restaurant. I did find some of the lighting rather garish, particularly around the front counter, but otherwise it was pleasant. Service was friendly and attentive. One of my companions really enjoyed the pho broth so I will have to go back to try that. Overall, a solid edition to the Hillsboro/Aloha neighborhood.
