Absolutely unacceptable experience. I have never been treated this poorly by a business in my life. An employee named Alexis yelled at and harassed my daughter with zero professionalism or respect. My eldest daughter and I called in our order carefully and clearly--I personally listened as she read everything slowly to make sure it was correct. Despite that, we got home and found multiple items missing. We picked up the food around 8:05, and by the time we realized the issue and came back, it was about 8:12. The lights were on and employees were clearly still there, so there was no reason to assume they were closed, especially given how unclear their hours are. My daughter went back calmly--CALMLY--just asking for a refund or for the order to be fixed. Instead of helping, Alexis came to the window aggressive from the start, yelling, blaming us, and refusing to take any responsibility. She even had the nerve to say we should have checked the order in the parking lot. That is NOT the customer's job. It got even worse when Alexis started accusing my daughter of recording, when she was simply taking a photo of her incorrect food. The entire situation was handled in the most hostile, defensive, and unprofessional way imaginable. Yes, restaurants make mistakes--that's not the issue. It's the disgusting attitude and treatment that followed. This kind of behavior should not be tolerated in any business. Completely inappropriate, completely unacceptable. 1/5. Haven't been here in years. Was the main place for a hamburger in fg pre McDonald's. Definitely reminded me of my childhood. The shakes are still legit. Tasted like dessert . We had a chocolate and a blackberry. Both super rich. The onion rings were perfect. Best in the area besides Helvatia. The fries were legit too. The super burger has three patties on it, all with cheese. I don't do tomatoes on mine, so they were held. Great burger. I'd probably add more mayo and mustard next time. Finally made it to Scottie's. A bit of a drive for us, but it was Valentine's Day. We got a booth inside, placed our order at the counter and our food arrived nice and quick. Hubby got a pizza burger. His favorite place in Missoula ( now long gone) had pizza burgers, so he had to try it. I just got a chess burger with onion rings, hubby got fries. Both were very good. The bill was $22 for lunch, which is really good these days. We will be back, it is just a Mom and Pop place serving basic good food. read more

I was running errands in the area and stopped in for a cheeseburger and chocolate milkshake. It's a small building with a walk up order window with classic letterboard menus. I got the regular cheeseburger, and the patty was very very thin but well cooked. The veggie toppings were fresh, and the sauce added some good flavor. The onions were a little overpowering on the aftertaste so I would maybe skip them, but overall I thought it was a quality burger. The chocolate milkshake was good but nothing special. It just tastes like mediocre soft serve with chocolate sauce, but even a mediocre milkshake is still quite satisfying. We decided to try this after reading reviews and so many raving about it. Guess I don't know what all the fuss is about regarding this place. Everything is just okay. The burgers are nothing special at all. Maybe if you are used to eating at McDonalds or another fast food burger joints might you think these are phenomenal, but I've had so many AMAZING burgers over the years that I can say that these are simply not among that list. This is exactly what I was hoping for. A good drive inn style hamburger. It hit the spot. The burger was tasty and the melty cheese and crispy bacon really did it for me. It's exactly what one would expect from a place like this. I feel like there are different types of burgers if that makes sense. For instance you can get a bacon cheeseburger from numerous places but a drive inn style just has its own unique way and I love it. They got everything right If you love fries, this is the place to go not only will you get some good fries but you will also get a big bang for your bucks! The fries bag was filled to the max! The staff however are the weirdest bunch of people I've ever come across, half of them are either stoned or just have no social skills whatsoever and they almost seem confused when you order food. This place is a hidden treasure for sure!! I ran 22 miles and ran the entire Wilson-River-Trail in the Tillamook State Forest, and got my "victory meal" or "Trail Trophy" here at Scottie's on the way back. I got a Chocolate Milkshake, that was perfect! Not too thick, not too thin- it was just right, and the the right amount of sweetness too. And, we had Cajun french fries that were cooked perfectly, I like mine on the softer end of the spectrum, and that is where these fries were at! And, they actually had Gardenburgers on the menu! So, that was nice to be able to order take away Veggieburgers as well! Overall, the service was great, and it was an approachable concept and easy to follow the order of the ordering window, and then wait at the the other menu. I also, believe you can call in your order, or order online as well. This was my first visit to Scottie's, so I don't know what it was like before the pandemic, but now it works really well as a walk up and wait outside! read more

It's an old school diner, walk up window drive in. This place has been here FOREVER. I went to elementary and middle school in Forest grove and this was always the place we'd stop by after school. The ice cream cone was no more than $1.50 or so. This has always been my favorite place for ice cream. It's the perfect texture and my favorite is their Swirl. I do enjoy their cheeseburgers, tater tots (try dipping a tot in your ice cream) it's extremely DELICIOUS! The have both in door and outdoor seating. It does get packed here at certain times. Most people are regulars! I always seem to run into an old face while hitting this old gem up. I may not be a milkshake lover- but everyone loves it here that I know. They have every flavor under the sun to satisfy your needs. Now the staff: they seem to truly not care what customer service is. It's like "what do you want, pay and let me close this sliding door on you in mid conversation." They are basically teenagers and may need some training on customer service. read more

I just go here for the vanilla cones. seems recently they changed their recipe on their vanilla cones. it taste like ice with some vanilla flavoring. It's not creamy anymore. It doesn't taste good. The food is..good enough. not great. First meal there was about 40 years ago. I once got a hauntingly horrible turkey sandwich there. To this day,( I still can't abide pressed sliced turkey -- no great loss) but that is ONLY bad order in a lifetime of burgers, fries, shakes, dipped cones, and banana splits! I was slowly making my way back from Forest Grove to Portland when I came upon Scottie's. I love old drive-ins, and it was just past lunchtime, so I dropped in. I truly enjoyed the blast from the past lunch. I enjoyed it so much, that I left my wallet containing all the important stuff usually found in one, plus about $150.00 cash, in the booth. The following morning while frantically searching for my wallet, I recalled stopping there. It was a long shot; but I was desperate. Sure enough, they had it! So, we hopped in the car, and drove 56 miles to Scottie's from our home in Clackamas County, and retrieved it. Nothing was missing. The manager who happily handed it to me would not accept any type of reward or gratuity. I was so very grateful that they found it, and to know that there are lots of honest people out there!
