    Baby back ribs
    Maya H.

If I could give this 20 stars I would. I went to the truck in the xplore lot off of Bethany and Cornell. I wanted brisket but decided on baby back ribs. They had bbq sauce which I thought was a problem. No! They were lightly glazed with bbq sauce that gave the ribs a slight sweetness. That combined with the seasoning made those ribs the best ribs that I have ever tasted. I can't recommend this place enough. If you think that you have had great ribs before you need to try these. They are perfect!!!

I am picky when it comes to my BBQ and boy did Chins BBQ not disappoint! Chins BBQ is located at the Hillsboro downtown station food carts. You can see that they smoke all of their meats on premises as there is a large smoker right next to the cart. I especially enjoyed the sweet ribs and the beans. The meat was tender and flavorful. My husband said he will definitely be back! There is plenty of seating indoor and parking in the street and dedicated parking lot. The employees were extremely helpful and nice as well as reasonable prices for high quality BBQ. I wish they had chicken because I bet they could make some delicious chicken on that smoker.

Competition style ribs a must try:)

This is a re-visit. Went straight to Chins for the ribs but found out they only serve them on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. ‍ Oh well, made a quick decision, a winning decision, the best decision and ordered the brisket Mac and cheese. It came with slaw. What an excellent full meal. I mean all I needed was a beer...and you can find them here:)

Delicious BBQ in the heart of Hillsboro. we had the ribs with the sweet glaze, and the barbecue cold pork sandwich both were delicious. portions are quite large, so easy to share, or have leftovers for lunch tomorrow !

I've e been here and it's always been sold out of ribs so today I finally showed up and bought the last rack it was their competition style and for side dishes I got the beans and coleslaw the price was reasonable and the customer service was excellent well I got to tell you I'm very happy that we sat down to a very delicious juicy smoked ribs they were lightly seasoned most everywhere else is way too salty these ribs were excellent nothing left but shiny bones lol the beans were creamy with pieces of bbq meat very tasty indeed and coleslaw was crunchy and creamy they do indeed put the attention I'm everything that they serve this place is right on target "mashed potatoes chingon" indeed hope that I'm helping in your food search this place is numero uno thanks for taking the time to read this review

We ordered the Mac bowl. 1 with Brisket and 1 with pulled pork. The Mac and cheese was watery and bland. The cole slaw was fresh, not too sweet but the portion was very small - probably less than 5% of the dish. The brisket was okay. The pulled pork was also underwhelming. The meat was probably less than 10% of the plate. The service was fast about 5 minutes. The cashier was friendly. The cart was well positioned, right next to the seating / bar area. I'm sorry to say I wouldn't stop here again.

Chin's was giving out samples of their mac n cheese, beans, and ribs. I was in disbelief, I didn't expect to be completely blown away by a sample before. There was an amazing, complex smokiness to the mac and cheese and the brisket beans were the best beans I've ever had (I'm a gal that lived in San Diego with a Mexican boyfriend and his family). I ordered a brisket El Chingon since it had both the amazing beans and brisket in one dish. The salt+pepper ribs stood on its own, and the meat was fall apart tender. I'm sure the sauced ribs would've been amazing. In fact, I'm confident everything on their menu would've been. I wish Chin's was closer to me, but it's best that it's far for my bank account's sake.

Well, after finally getting a chance to browse all the pods, I found Dad's chicken, but nothing was grillin'. So I came back here to Pares PDX Express instead. Checked out the side menu, checked out the prices, and out comes a brutha from anotha mutha! Welcomes me, so I asked my pare "What's good?" He said, "Everything!" smh, "Damn!" A good sign :(but not a good sign for me healthwise:) haha! I asked how long he's been open, and he said, "Since September." Still fresh and new to me, so my yelpie duty was to support my locals. Here's what I ordered: Drawn to the Crispy Kare-Kare ($15), this caught my eyes! (Optional read) Typically, the Filipino kare-kare meat used is with cuts of chuck steak and boney beef neck. Some like using pork hocks. Sometimes kare-kare will have beef tripe added. But personally for me, I love my mom's version using oxtail. I don't like the neck, I don't need tripe, it's gotta be OXTAIL!!! Besides, it's all about the stew and the saucy peanut buttery flavor. About Pares PDX kare-kare version... I saw "Crispy" and knew this was referring to either crispy pata or lechon kawali (aka deep fried pork belly with skin). They serve their kare-kare with crispy pork belly, bok choy, long string beans, and eggplant. The stew of peanut sauce was drizzled on top. With the home-made shrimp bagoong (fried shrimp paste) in between. I would have stayed outside on the patio tables, but it was going to rain. So I rushed home, and mmm mmm mmm the pieces were still nice and crispy indeed! I haven't had pork belly in so long that I was in heaven, not worrying if I needed to go to the hospital afterwards lol. You can have the dish with plain rice or garlic rice. I chose the garlic rice, which is almost a given. A bit of more information: ~ They've got a QR code to view the menu and/or place an order. ~ Majority or nearly all of the dishes were $15 average. ~ To feed your eyes, there are pics of the dishes on the side of the truck. ~ Service was pleasant and fast. Can't say I'll ever order what I can make myself, like adobo, sisig, pinoy style spaghetti, or lumpia, but I will definitely be back to try their version of pansit palabok, laing, dinuguan, and turon. I'll even try their "halo halo" next time! The Filipino authenticity, kinda like mom's style is here! Come check them out!

Multiple times now, I have placed an order, watched the status change to "Confirmed" and even "Preparing," only for the restaurant or their system to cancel the order abruptly after the Dasher is already assigned or on their way. This is not just a minor inconvenience; it completely wastes time and effort planning a meal. A major contributing factor is that they frequently forget to close and update their DoorDash channel, showing they are available for online ordering when they are not. It gives the false hope that the food is on its way, only to be cancelled last minute, forcing a scramble to find dinner/lunch elsewhere. The management needs to seriously address their online order process, communication with delivery platforms, and their kitchen capacity. If you cannot fulfill an order, it should be rejected immediately, not 30-40 minutes after confirmation. Until this issue is fixed, I cannot recommend ordering from here, especially for delivery. It's too unreliable to depend on.
