0 star if I could. The General Manager, Max -- if he is the general manager -- is rude, unprofessional, and uncommunicative. They damaged the house while moving the furniture, holes on the walls, front door dent, carpet. Very unprofessional. I contacted Max and made him aware with the movers and filed a claim, and the day after he said that we are not responsible, the house was damaged and hanged up. I would not recommend anyone to choose this moving company(its not even a company) but a bunch of crap people. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I arranged for my things to be moved from New York to Florida to place them in a storage unit there. The General Manager, Max -- if he is the general manager -- is rude, unprofessional, and uncommunicative. He was very charming when he was trying to get my business, but once my things had been picked up and there were problems, he became unreachable and non-responsive. The movers arrived two hours later than scheduled, reeking of cannabis. Because the quote I received was based on my guesstimate of how many boxes I would have, I did not argue when the cost increased from $1400 to nearly $4000 (they're the moving experts and I trusted that they had packed the truck efficiently). Because they were in such a rush, they left several items. When I contacted Max to ask if there was anything that could be done, he rudely answered, "It's too late, the truck is gone". By his response, it was clear that he had no interest in helping. I sent an email asking for a revised invoice based on the actual number of boxes and the price. I received no reply. I flew down to Florida as planned expecting the truck to arrive as scheduled -- according to the mover who picked up my things, paying cash guaranteed a delivery date. Having still heard nothing from Max since the day of pick up (six days ago), I called him on the scheduled day of delivery to confirm the time only to be told that the truck would not be arriving. When I asked why I had not been contacted, he refused to answer, then hung up on me. I would never recommend Your Choice Van Lines! Buyer Beware! read more

Do not use this company unless you want to get ripped off. Workers were straight out of jail. Damaged everything..General manager Max Goldberg is a liar. Will not compensate you for damages and will make all sorts of promises. Quoted me $4,000 then charged me $12,000 and dropoff. Threatened to put everything into storage if I did not pay. DO NOT USE!!! read more

My recommendation is that if you have read all of these negative reviews believe them, they over charge you, I had a bed and 3 large boxes and it totalled over 2500 dollars, they picked my stuff up on a Wednesday and I was told it would be to me on that Sunday, I got it on that Tuesday and it was no one's fault... please anyone reading this if you want to save yourself some heartache and cash DO NOT use this company....f$!k them read more

Got a estimate from Max once truck was almost loaded the movers said that we had gone way over the estimate. Called Max who said we'll it was just an estimate. It was a estimate based pon him seeing everything we had to move. We had a couch t small desks boxes and bins bags of linens and other house hold things. Our estimate was for 2818.60 they then said after loading 80% of my stuff that it was going to be 6688. I questioned Max on how this could happen he got angry. Said it was what it was and we had to pay 3816 now and the rest on delivery. We gave personal check and expected a call for the delivery date agreed on 7/1. Got a call on 6/27 from Max who was mad that we paid with a personal check. He said we are going to deliver on Thursday 6/29 and the driver will bring you your check back and yo pay with a bank check or cash the full amount. I said I couldn't and he got mad and said fine I will deposit the check and you will get a call from someone in the office in 14 to 16 days to schedule you to get your stuff . Have a good day he said and hung up. read more

DONT USE. LIARS and THIEVES!!!!!! First I wish I could give negative stars. They say "Certified Professionals" The "movers" who showed up at our house reeked of marijuana, they took and drank alcoholic beverages out of our refrigerator and then tried to cut a side deal with my husband when the price quoted tripled. The way our property was handled was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. Boxes were crushed resulting in a lot of breakage even when boxes were clearly marked Fragile. Wardrobe boxes that are usually about 4 feet tall when delivered were about 1.5-2 feet tall - totally crushed. They damaged a deep freezer, broke glass on a glass top end table, completely lost the glass to our coffee table (I assume it shattered so they didn't bother delivering it), many pictures they packed had shattered glass (haven't opened those yet worried to see if the pictures were damaged), antique table damaged, hamper completely crushed and shattered, i could go on. Our property was held hostage unless we paid an additional $9000 on top of what was quoted to us. When we reached out to the main office the staff were completely rude and unprofessional, They overtalked you and wouldn't let you get a word in all they said is you paid and signed -- like you have a choice when all your possession are on a truck in Queens NY. They stole items as well that we have not received. The worst part is that they drove from NY to CT with two of the movers locked in the back of the truck because the cab could only fit three people -- both ways it was in the 80s that day so I assume that the trailer of a truck that is not temperature controlled was probably about 90ish. If this is how they treat their employees imagine how they treat your property. Supposedly in business for 20 years?? How that is possible is beyond me. Hopefully some agencies that have been alerted to their business dealings will take action. Especially the ones where they broke federal laws by crossing state lines. read more

They had seamlessly loaded the contents of my 650 square foot apartment including large/heavy fragile furniture with glass (8 foot tall dresser with mirror weighing 250 lbs, and 50 galloon reptile tank) in about 1 hour. We promptly left via car to meet them at our new address in Philly, and they arrived at exactly the same time as we did. They unloaded the truck in about an hour again, and helped partially unpack and put items in the proper places, especially the furniture that would have been hard for me to move on my own later. I will continue to use Piece of Cake, and have recommended to several friends over the years that I have been using them. It was quick working with the customer support team initially to quote the move, make payment, and on COIs and confirmation. When we move again in a couple years Piece of Cake will be the only mover I call. My recommendation to others considering the service, be transparent and honest about the contents of your move, especially items requiring extra protection even if there is an additional fee involved. There were no surprise add-ons in my move because we carefully selected every single item that would be included in our move early on in the process, and made sure to reply in detail to the follow up emails regarding insurance, access to the apartments (stairs vs elevator, reserved elevator, etc.), and so on move-in day everything went off without a hitch. Piece of Cake are professionals and we love the service.

They moved so quickly with care and accuracy. Most importantly, all my kitchen appliances were wrapped with care and delivered and arrived to my new apartment in the same condition. It took us about 2 hrs to settle in, and they once again unpacked most of the furnitures and reassembled them, making me feel settled in and relaxed. I cannot thank their team enough. Pure SCAMMERS...MY father was quoted a price for a specific amount of cubic feet that he measured BEFORE calling and loading truck. He gave them a credit card that took 100$ deposit. When they arrived they loaded the truck and claimed that we had 2500 CUBIC FEET!!!!! I demanded they unload the truck and they refused unless I paid them 2000. No one would help us we called and waited on customer service and managers for over 3 hours. In addition they demanded the payment for the false amount up front before leaving. The managers on the phone bullied us and said we better give a tip , or else....they handling yo' stuff...threat. I had to go to the back and withdraw all my money. ****UPDATE**** I told everyone here that I would do something to stop them from victimizing others and I was successful in getting Your Choice Van Lines shut down! My multiple complaints to the DOT and my lawsuit in Connecticut has done it. My wife and I hired these guys to move our stuff from Long Island to Northern VA. They showed up a little late on move day but reached out and let me know beforehand so i appreciated that. They did a good job wrapping up our furniture and were fairly good spirited throughout the process.
