We had a wonderful time with YCI! Bill was very accommodating and took care of us throughout the trip. Although rain was expected each day of our trip that week, Bill ensured to check the weather and was able to navigate us each day away from the rain. We did not miss a day of riding which was fantastic! We did plenty of climbing and the views were remarkable. We would stop occasionally for some coffee and pastries which made the rides even more enjoyable. After riding, Bill took us into several different towns to allow us to explore. Your Cycling Italia was a cycling dream come true! This was my first time cycling in Italy and I cannot wait to return. Bill was the perfect host and guide. He took us on the most beautiful rides through old cities and up into the mountains. His knowledge of the local back roads and restaurants made every day a unique experience. The hotel, Garden Relais, is set at the base of the pre Dolomite mountains with stunning views, outdoor balconies and patios, and a fabulous spa (I enjoyed a fantastic massage!). The food and the staff were amazing - just say "Bill" and they take care of you - he is part of "the family" having operated his tour from Garden Relais since its beginning. Upon our arrival, Bill had us set up on Colnago bikes which were perfect. I wanted to climb and challenge myself and Bill helped make my goals a reality. After morning rides, we returned for an Italian gourmet experience with many options, and of course, wine and prosecco! In the afternoon, Bill offered us many options to explore the local region, shop at the local cycling outlets, or just relax. The non-cyclists in our group had many opportunities to explore the local area and were always treated to separate excursions when the rest of us explored by bike. Dinners were full of the best authentic Italian food and wine, new friends, and lots of laughter! I traveled with a small group of friends (4 cyclists, 2 non-cyclists) in May of 2024. The cycling was fantastic! Bill guided us on beautifully scenic, low-traffic routes, tailoring each day's distance and elevation gain to the needs of the group, adjusting as needed to accommodate weather. We climbed Monte Grappa, rode by castles (always a climb!), toured the Prosecco wine country, and more, with each ride including at least one cafe stop in ancient towns like Asolo, Marostica, Luciana. Our non-cyclists thoroughly enjoyed the trips to local towns and attractions that Bill arranged for them each day. He even organized a trip to the Montegrappa Pen factory for an artist in our group. We all enjoyed watching her design her custom pen! The Colgnago bikes that Bill provided (on the spur of the moment when other arrangements fell through) were in top condition, with gearing that was quite adequate for the riding we did. The hotel accommodations at the Garden Relais were quite comfortable and the food was amazing! We also enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the paragliders landing behind the hotel. I spent 2 weeks at Your Cycling Italia in June '23 and could not be more pleased. I rode every day with the owner, Bill, and at my request we went into the mountains almost every day. The scenery is spectacular and Bill knows all the small roads with very little traffic. You can not experience this type of riding in the USA. Besides the riding, the hotel and food were great and there were plenty of things to do later in the day when we were not riding. Most importantly, Bill is very personable and easy to get along with. He speaks perfect Italian (& English) and was able to tell me things about Italian life that I would never have picked up on my own. I plan to return in the near future. read more

This was the cycling trip of a lifetime. The arrangements were made for the entire group. The lodging was very comfortable and the countryside was amazing. Some of the best cycling in the world! Bill's expertise and his knowledge was incredible and extremely helpful. His staff and ride leaders were knowledgeable and extremely skilled. I learned more about cycling in 1 week with Bill's group than I have learned in the past 10 years. The Peace de resistance was the trip the the Bittaglin custom bike factory where we met the legend Giovanni Battaglin and learned how he makes incredible custom bikes. These were the best and most beautiful bikes rides through the greatest bicycle countryside in the world. It is a must for anyone of all levels of skill who ride bikes. I write from a different perspective however; the spouse of a cyclist who is not a cyclist herself. I had stopped joining my husband on his "bike trips" because, understandably so, it is all about the bike. He convinced me to join him in Italy where he would do just one race. We would commit the first 3 days of our 12-day trip to his race. The first three days were the best part of the trip! My experience with YCI was top-notch. I had already been on cycling trips to the Italian Alps and Dolomites, but this was my first trip to the pre-Dolomites. Thanks to Bill's excellent service and knowledge of the area, I will definitely be back for more. Bill is a seasoned road cyclist and skilled tour operator. He had a Colnago rental bike ready for me at the hotel upon my arrival, he tailored the rides to meet my interests and riding level, and he incorporated bike shop and beautiful local town visits into the evenings. With regard to the hotel, the rooms are modern and comfortable, there is a spa (which I cannot comment on because I didn't make time to use it), and the restaurant serves three delicious meals a day. The hotel is also ideally located next to the start of the Semonzo climb to Cima Grappa. Whether you are interested in long, grueling rides or scenic cycling tours, Bill can provide it all and his team can cater to multiple interests within a group. I simply came to YCI to cycle, so I was pleasantly surprised by the lovely, historic towns that we visited (Asolo, Bassano del Grappa, Marostica...) which can be reached by bike or car. In addition to offering great cycling terrain, the Veneto region has more reliable weather than the neighboring Dolomites and Alps. A cycling tour that exceeded my expectations. Daily rides took us through historic cities and wine regions, up mountain passes and along the Brenta River. Each ride offered spectacular views of either the Dolomites or the Veneto Region. Our guide, Bill, offered a wide selection of routes that proved challenging yet provided an enjoyable experience. The pace was perfect and Bill always new when to stop, whether to take a picture, partake in a cappuccino, or just to take a needed rest. Bill is very knowledgeable of the area and regularly pointed out historic or significant landmarks and features of the region during our rides. Lodging was clean and comfortable with plenty of amenities on site. Watching the paragliders soar off Mt. Grappa was a great way to relax after a long ride. Along with wonderful meals and friendly staff that made you feel welcome it was was difficult to see our trip come to an end.
