Worst experience in a car wash ever. I've been going here since it opened, through all the owner changes and everything. Today I was stuck in the car wash for over 5 minutes, honking my horn, yelling out my window, and it took at least 5 minutes for someone to come out to tell me, "it should be on soon"...I said, shouldn't you have someone come explain to the customer what's going on, especially since I've been honking for 5 minutes. His response, "it takes a minute to walk down here"....umm it's not a 5 minute walk from one end of the car wash to the next. I will not be returning. read more

Take 5 Car Wash strongly pushes the membership with unlimited car washes for $29.99 per month. They say you can cancel at any time.....I have been trying to cancel my membership for over 2 months. They cannot "find my account" to cancel it yet they manage to charge the card every month. You cannot speak to a human. If you call the numbers all you get is recordings. You must fill out the "contact" form if you want to interact at all. I tried to cancel by calling my credit card company, but, because they bill through a 3rd party (Square) the credit card company cannot block the charge. I wouldn't care if this was the greatest product in the world - their process is very underhanded and I question the legality. read more

They have changed their business model so that the cheapest car wash ($10) no longer includes use of the vacuums. Literally the only reason I went here was bc I needed to vacuum my car and the wash comes w it. The next price level is $16. Almost double the price to vacuum my own car. He was pushing very expensive washes and I politely said I wanted the basic wash. He told me the $10 wash would not wash the front or back of my SUV! I asked if he was lying to me. He said no. Worst car wash ever. I'll admit my car had quite a bit more dirt on it than usual, however after spending $10 which is their lowest price point, way higher than other wash in town, I could barely notice a difference in the cleanliness of my vehicle. The wash didn't a clean off a single spot of bird poop off my car. It's almost as though all they did was run a high powered rinse and threw a little soap in there for looks. I do not recommend this car wash. I bought the $10 wash, and though I didn't expect any extras, I did expect the main body of my SUV to be clean. The back window and rear were filthy. I went back and asked them to clean it and was rudely told they don't brush the back for $10. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he was even more rude. I asked how I could voice a complaint and was told he didn't know. I don't like posting negative reviews but there are 2 other car washes in Rowlett that would be a better choice. I found Take 5 after I had pulled into Lakeview carwash and decided to find another place that I liked better. It was mostly the price at the Lakeview. At Take5 I was greeted by a young man who was polite and explained the price ($8.00!) which made me very happy. Also, the vacuum was free and I really needed that. When I drove to the entrance door there was someone who guided me in which I really appreciated then when I went through there was a great soapy wash with rubber type flaps to clean off the dirt. I went straight to the vacuums and cleaned out my SUV and left in a very happy frame of mind. I will definitely return to Take5 and will highly recommend it to others. Good job Take 5. read more

I'm going to parrot the other reviewer here. I tried for nearly 3 months to cancel my membership that originated from a "special sale". I called, emailed, and contacted them via their website. Never once received a response. I actually had to change my card on file with my bank (get a new card) just to stop getting charged. Go literally ANYWHERE ELSE. I will say about the actual wash (whatever the highest end was available is called), at first there were 2 people pre-soaking my front grille & windshield and my back window & bumper. They would then put a piece of plastic over my back window wiper. And before I even got to that point I had someone, AFTER noticing my member sticker, handing me dash cleaner wipes & offering terrible smelling "trees" for my rear view mirror. The dash cleaning wipes were OK - nothing like Meguiar's or anything. The tire clean at the end of the wash (at the start of the drying process) basically smears the dirt around on your rims then smears tire-shine all over your wheels & rims. I fortunately had about a 10 minute drive home to help dry the car. Then I'd get home & finish the dry job. But it never looked complete. Your side windows will be clean and that's about it. read more

The equipment is always broken and does not work well when in operation and the people working there don't seem to give a hoot about what they do. They do prep work half/assed and rush to get you into the wash that does not work properly. My truck and car always have soap on them when finished and the wheel cleaner leaves a heavy deposit of oily goop on the tires and wheels that has to be cleaned off. Tailgates are never clean! I have tried several times to cancel my monthly membership and it never gets done! Not happy at all with Take 5 Carwash! Fed up!!!! read more

Why have an automated payment machine when you plan to pay someone to harass you while customers select a wash? The worker wouldn't take no for an answer when I didn't want their subscription and watched me struggle as I tried to put my card into the machine and select my wash. I mentioned I'd had the subscription before, and it was so hard to cancel I had to do a stop payment on their ACH. He was rude and said, "Have fun paying more for your car washes." If you see a lanky, thin man with medium-length blonde hair by the payment portal, just leave unless you want this to be your experience. I went in for a wash, I was greeted by a rude red headed kid at the kiosk. I only wanted the ten dollar wash, he proceeded to tell me that I would wasting my money and aggressively tried up selling more expensive services, to the point of being rude. I said twice that I wanted the 10 dollar wash, he just ranted on about how it would be a waste of money.I ended up backing up and headed to another car wash. I am very disappointed with their customer service. On first visit got the $19.99 lowest service, unlimited wash. Never did a thorough cleaning, but location convenient. After 18 mos, I went thru 2 days in a row and suddenly they wanted me to upgrade to $22. Seemed like a better wash. But they never cancelled the $19.99 charge and billed me twice a month for both services. Told me to go online to cancel. Went online, never got a reply. Just went for wash, and was told I didn't have an account! Online people must have cancelled me they said. Wanted to see my credit card bills-like I carry that around??? Two attendants were quite rude and did not resolve the issue. I'm being billed for 2 services and they won't allow me to use the service now--What's up with that!!?? Attendant started pushing their special as I drove up - I said not interested. He continued to push the special in a very obnoxious way - I told him 6 times not interested and he just kept pushing the special. I paid for the wash - he continued to keep pushing the speciall inferring I was a stupid idiot for not taking advantage of their great special (11 washes). I kept telling him no, not interested. I finally got mad, and yelled at him after the seventh sales pitch with profanity as I drove to the car wash entrance. He ran over to the entry and told me I could not use the car wash - that he was get a refund. The refund was given and I left. I and my extended family have been using this car wash for years - literally since it opened. We've washed personal and business vehicles here - about 60 visits a month - we've been very satisfied in the past, but after today, we will never use this car wash again.!!!!!!! Paid for the upgraded wash and towel dry. My car was still dirty all on the back and front. Then for the "towel dry", they just give you handful of paper towels that are a little nicer and thicker than normal paper towels. Ended up using the paper towels to try and get the rest of the dirt off my car. Don't pay for more than the $4 wash here read more

I cannot say enough. This is does not have to do with the car wash itself has to do with their management. My daughters car would not start battery was dead. And two of the employees jumped in to help. I don't have one other names, but the one I do have is Tyrone the manager. He helped us get the car into neutral move it to where we could actually get the jumper cables on and he just took care of us and then he did it with a smile and stayed until we were on our way. Very appreciative of the employees very professional great customer service. The car washes are great and you have free vacuums. read more

I guess I should've written a review before they changed their services. They used to have a selection of 4 maybe 5 different washes of various prices starting at $4. Then they changed now the wash I used to get for $14 is now $24 and they constantly have employees out there hounding you about signing up for their monthly subscription. It just become a place I no longer enjoy going and I'll be looking for a different place that offers more options. I really just want a wash and wax. Nothing else. Today I bought their most expensive wash and went to get groceries right after. As I come back from putting back the groceries I didn't even recognize my own car. The trunk had a variety of dents and the paint had been removed from several spots. I am kind of obsessed with my car, and I notice any little changes on it. This one was hard to miss. I am sure this had just happened at " Your Car Wash". So I drove back to report this problem. I knew that there was 0% chance of them admitting their fault, but I thought I would try anyways. Frankie ( the manager) was quick to brush me off as something that " was already there". He goes to say " nobody else complained" so you must be wrong. Needless to say I have a severely damaged trunk on my Nissan Armada. Car wash is average . I have the $19.99 a month membership since December. So far it helps gets the dirt off but at times I feel like I need to run it through again. I have auto draft and unfortunately they have been taking out an extra $19.99 out of my account. Of course I call the place but they give me a 888 number which 3tines I've called to get refunded I get Indian people from India. They can't help but send an email. Am still waiting for a reply. No one Can help and still can not get a hold of a manger go give my $80!. I reported to fraud department at my bank and now on here.. let's see when I will get my $80 they stole from me.. So keep an eye on your account. They drafted in the 16th then the 19th of each month. I used to be a member here but I stopped the membership bc I was going to get a new car and I am also out of town a lot recently so I didn't want to pay monthly but not using any. Today, I stopped by and paid for a $7 car wash. I just got back in town, went to the store parked under a tree ended up with dirty bird poops. After the wash my car is still very dirty (I posted only some pictures here). I did not leave the place yet, I drove around to the gate again & showed the guy my car, he said he needs to get his manager, I guess for the code to re-enter to wash 1more time since it's clearly NOT clean. The manager came out (short light skin guy spoke with an accent, I didn't get his name), asked me to show him. First, I pointed at the window, he said, "oh this side that part of the window can never be clean bc the brush can not reach." Ohhhh okkkk..... then I said what about the front and the hood? And the back and both sides? He looked at those then asked me which price did I paid for the car wash? I said $7. Then he said, "oh yeah $7 car wash will not be clean." I said, "what?". LOL then he said again $7 car wash can not wash the car clean, if you want, pull up in front ask the service guy to spray the spots with the water hose but nothing else I WILL do. WTH??? Spraying with the water hose without blow dry will leave the car water spots, and there are dust/bird poop splashing everywhere still on my car. When a customer paid $ to get their car clean and it's not clean, it is your responsibility to make sure it's clean and he said nothing that he will do for my car??? I did not ask for perfectly clean, all I want is to wash off the bird poops, that's it. He said he is one of the manager and he said nothing he will do for me, a long time customer. I was going to pay for 2 new car wash memberships very soon, 1 for my new car, and another one for my husband car in November. Because of this bad service, I am going to the one across the street. AND I will cancel the memberships of my dad's car & my sister's car as soon as it end by next month because I m the one who paying for them each month. Car wash is average its the attendant that is the problem, every time I stop by to get it washed the same attendant uses the hard sale on membership every time I go through the same process of telling him I'm not interested in a membership he talks over you with the hard sale until the conversation gets heated.
