Really disappointed with my experience here. The woman working the counter was rude and didn't seem knowledgeable about the products at all. I had a few basic questions about Pokémon and other card items, and instead of helping, she came across annoyed and uninterested the entire time. When you walk into a card and game shop, you expect at least some level of enthusiasm or willingness to help--especially with games like Pokémon, Magic, or Warhammer. Unfortunately, that just wasn't the case here. Customer service makes a big difference, and this experience completely turned me off from coming back. read more

Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The selection for models (train, planes, automobiles, etc) was a little limited and is more on the warhammer/D&D side of things. Price is fair and what you'd expect. The actual paints, glues, general equipment there seem carefully picked and well stocked. Will be back! read more

I love going here. The shop has a positive and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are great and more then willing to help you find a new game or locate that missing piece for your hobby project. Recently got back into Pokemon TCG (terrible timing, I know) and this store is an absolute godsend in the current market!! They don't always have product, but when they do its plentiful and at great prices. On top of that the vibes are great here; staff are always super helpful and friendly! I'm not much of a TCG player myself but there's also almost always people playing games on the left side of the store for anyone looking for spots to compete. My wife and I were driving home and saw this place had opened just five blocks from where we live. Super stoked to check it out since we love hobby games but hated driving an hour to other stores in the area. We stopped by once to check it out and buy some Warhammer 40k supplies (books and paints) and were greeted by friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. We decided to come back for Friday Night Magic and once again had a great time, with a super welcoming community and the staff, as usual, being great. If I had any feedback, I'd ask that they have more snacks to buy, especially coffee or energy drinks for game nights, and maybe adjusting the interior lighting. The bright white glare that they have in there currently does strain the eyes after a while, and there are some sections which are darkly lit, namely their 40k section. Their supplies were a little scant at the time (out of some primers and was hoping for more 40k minis) but I write this off to them having just opened and simply having a successful launch and a loyal customer base. Don't get me wrong - they have plenty of minis, but more singles would be great. I would also like to see them include nights for other MTG formats on the weekend, like Modern. Other than that, can't recommend them enough. I can definitely see myself becoming a regular here and I will 100% be back. read more

They carry a full range of D&D, Warhammer 40K, Age of Sigmar, X-Wing, Saga, Magic, Pokémon, Flames of War, Team Yankee, Bolt Action, other Warlord games, terrain, paints, and many other miniature and board games. This spacious store provides numerous tables to play games, and offers online table reservations and free WiFi. The staff are friendly and helpful, but will also let you shop quietly if you choose. They even special order upon request, and for a 10% discount if you pay in advance. Sure, you may get a slightly lower price on Amazon, but why not support a friendly neighborhood store that creates local jobs, lets you look before you buy, and provides a place to socialize and play? read more

Ample play-space and welcoming regulars willing to teach you how to play. Snacks and drinks available for purchase. The staff are friendly, attentive, and chill. They seem dedicated to community engagement (basically a requirement for running a successful game store) and was lively with adults and youth playing on the lefthand side of the space. They have a calendar of events and the day we went held a raffle in celebration of the store's anniversary or something. Product selection isn't great, but holy crap if they don't throw the biggest joke of a tournament I've ever been to. Players were taking byes because of an uneven number of entrants. This wouldn't normally be an issue, but the TOURNAMENT ORGANIZER was playing games in the tournament while those players, who paid to be in the event sat around watching. It's bad form for the TO to enter to begin with, but to enter and then take games from the other players is just gross. I'll never pay to play in a tournament here again. I paid for 3 games of 40K and got 2 games and 3 hours of sitting in a chair finding different places to leave this review. read more

A fledgling business at the time of my writing this, Your Hobby Place is an active welcoming and helpful location for hobby and gaming needs. I visited with multiple people and it felt like every one myself included found something they wanted, even my "gaming freshmen" partner found some dice they liked. The staff there are helpful and attentive and make conversation easily they also did not push anything on us we didn't want. The store was spacious and well stocked, and in the coming months will only gain more items (check the Facebook regularly for updates as they listen to requests) Over all I highly recommend their place of business for hardcore table top/card game and softcore board game needs, or even if you just want to start the hobby. read more

After hearing I had to visit the new gaming store in the neighborhood, I went in on a Thursday morning to see what was available. What was available was undesirable. The staff were preoccupied with one another for the most part, which I normally don't mind, but feeling like I didn't exist in their store was not at all what I expected. As for cleanliness, I was impressed at first, but on using the bathroom I noticed it smelled worse than a port-o-john. Overall, I missed my LGS because I visited this place. read more
