He ask that we send him the license plate number and VIN number. we sent to him then crickets!(No response). We called him several times to get the estimate on fixing it and I got no answer from phone calls or voice mails. We don't have $160 to throw away but I guess lesson learned. We are people of color and I truly believe once he saw us he didn't want to do business. Bad customer service If something malfunctions/breaks due to faulty work, they will give you such a hard time. No accountability. Expect badgering phone calls. Don't use them because they have to take your wheel off to work underneath the car. They have to use a jack to lift up your car, and take a wheel off. You might as well pay for a TOW. Because guess what... you're going to have to anyways because your car will start smoking and breaking down just 2 miles away from the house. Or your wheel will come off the freeway like mine did. My 3 girls were in the car with me and I'm pregnant. It was so scary. They are giving me such a hard time about accountability. It's been almost a month of this back and forth between my insurance company and them. For the love of all that's holy, just pay for a tow and do your research on reviews. Car shops have lifts, so they don't need to take wheels off. Always pay for roadside assistance. It's a hassle sometimes, but it's so worth the time it takes to set it up and get it done. read more

The level of customer service is a big fat 0! The repair they made failed, all due to the non tightening of a bolt. With a car not runnable, I called so they could make good. They said the warranty Dept would have to call me back. I canceled my Dr appt for the next day, it took two days for them to call. They then said it would be 5 days for an appointment. Which would then cause me to miss another Dr appointment. 8 days for a 15 minute fix. So not acceptable. Will never use this company again, they have no concern for the mistakes they make. read more

My wife and I almost got into a crash after having our front brakes replaced by Your Mobile Mechanic. Not only were we not informed that new brakes need to be bedded, but the mechanic didn't even know what that meant. We were going downhill to a stoplight, and when we pressed the brake, the car kept going and drifted into the intersection. I had to just gas it and run the light because our car wouldn't stop in time. I called and texted him to see what was wrong, and he said he would stop by. He never came by. We had looked it up on the Internet, and the issue was bedding new brakes. I asked him, and he was unsure about it. He altogether stopped replying and NEVER came to check on us after saying he would. On top of that, he constantly reschedules and HIS PRICES ARE NOT AS CHEAP AS EVERYONE IS SAYING! We have moved on to YourMechanic to service our vehicle, and their quote for the same brake service was $140.00 CHEAPER. YourMechanic services come with a 12month warranty, and they travel to you as well. THEY KEEP THEIR APPOINTMENTS, and they are competent! I do not recommend Your Mobile Mechanic. I would have to agree with a complaint from another customer from a different review website: "I feel that the vendor's poor communication made for a misrepresentation of the cost of the service, and time to complete." Originally I had written a positive review for Bryan. Well, unfortunately I jumped the gun. Bryan ended up being poor in communication, having a lack of prompt customer service and was a slight scammer. Initially Bryan didn't communicate with me that he ended up having a change of plans and couldn't service my car the day he agreed to. I had to find that out by taking initiative. Furthermore, I informed Bryan I needed a prompt response/service as a pending transaction was on its way with another party. Bryan's constant "I'll get to that today when I'm back in the office" with no follow through made me look bad in my own business transaction. Lastly, Bryan had promised on several occasions to reimburse me for my positive reviews (5) that I took the time to draft. After a week plus of nagging him to follow through on his word I gave up. My VW Vanagon would not start and it was clearly more than a battery or starter issue. I called Bryan on a Sunday expecting a call back Monday. He returned my call within an hour and offered to come and get it running that evening. I did not expect that! And at no extra weekend hours charge. He arrived a few hours later, looked it over, and got it running well enough to drive home from work that night. He came back a few days later with the parts he needed to get it running like a top. My van had several issues that other mechanics had overlooked- vacuum leaks, a faulty PCV valve, etc. It also needed new plugs and a few other things at that point. I've had the van for 8 years and Bryan is one of two mechanics I've found that cared enough to get it diagnosed and repaired correctly and at a fair price. Not to mention the convenience of coming to me. He ran behind schedule a bit; but when you think about it, when you take your vehicle to a shop, they keep it for 1, 2, or more days. A mechanic has no idea what he's going to run into when he dives in on some cars so it's worth being a little patient. He's at the mercy of the car he's working on before he can get to yours. I called Brian today to see about getting a full diagnostics done on my vehicle after spending over $2000 to fix an issue I told the PCM module needed to be replaced and the pedal accelerator. Brian kindly asked me what the issues were and after going over the extent amount of replacements that I've done on my vehicle he asked me if I had reset the codes because that's what you're supposed to do after you replace parts which I had no idea. Bryan is amazing. We've been in the process of looking for used cars and we've had him do 3 buyer's inspections so far. He's been incredibly thorough on each one ("This car appears to be from California or somewhere with a warm climate and low humidity because the bushings are drier than I would expect and will need to be replaced soon") and has gone out of his way to educate us not only about what's wrong with the car currently, but also what to look for and how to know what's *actually* going on under the hood rather than just how it appears. We have two kids and it's often hard to get to these dealerships in different towns; it has been incredibly convenient to send him out to do a buyer's inspection before we have to haul our whole family to another county to look at a car that appears to be in good shape, but has deep issues that are impossible to diagnose by someone who's not a car expert. His office assistant, Destiny, is also very professional, reliable, and organized. We've found our longterm mechanic. Our Acura MDX needed new brake pads and was having a hard time cold-starting. Brian came out and diagnosed several issues. Normally I'm skeptical of factory suggestions, but Brian took the time to actually show and explain the issues. We ended up replacing pads, front rotors, the serpentine belt, and the alternator. It was nice that he doesn't mark up OEM parts! He worked late into the night and the next day on this project. I hate to be the person to give a negative review. Late to every appointment, unprepared, unprofessional. Brian Received 2 stars instead of 1 because in the end he did fulfill his obligation. Long Story... Monday-called told Brian I needed a new starter, I would be happy to have him diagnose and tell me any other problems I may have. Car had broke down in store parking lot, I could have it towed anywhere he said he could work on it where it was to save on a tow but I have AAA so the tow was free so I towed it home. We made an appointment for Tuesday @ 2pm. Tuesday-2pm No call, No Show! called at 3pm left message, called @ 4pm, called at 5pm left message. Brian called back at 6:30pm explained that he made a mistake and scheduled me for 2pm on Wednesday. He then asked if he could work on it in the morning. I explained I would be at work but I'd make sure someone was home to give him keys. He'd be over between 9-10am. Wednesday-10am No Call, No Show! 2pm No Call No Show! (While my kid waits around for him to show up missing another entire day of spring break, because I promised someone would be home) 2:30pm I called Brian he said he had an appointment run late in Duvall and was on his way to my house. 6pm I called Brian again and he said he was exiting 405 and would be at my place shortly. 8pm Brian and associate show up spend an hour diagnosing the problems. It was my starter like I said but he did not come prepared with the part. Pointed out some other issues and said I could really use a transmission flush and oil change. I said great do that stuff when you come back with starter. Vehicle has over 200k miles I don't need a new starter, he didn't have price so he would have to re quote plus take 10% off his quote since he was late. Cost $120 + Tax. Made appointment for Saturday. I explained we would be out of town he said that was fine. I locked up my dog, left keys in vehicle, plus I left half of the estimate in cash in vehicle. Saturday-No Call, No Show! but I didn't know I was out of town. Sunday-No Call, No Show! I got home shortly before 5pm nothing had been done to vehicle. I called Brian and once again something came up and he couldn't make it but he was on his way. 8pm He and a different associate showed up did all the work they said car started up fine. It was about 11:30pm. Large amount of Cat Liter under my vehicle from where they leaked fluids on my drive way. I paid full amount, No discount, No rebuilt starter, in fact he said the starter had a lifetime warranty which is usually $30-$40 extra but he didn't charge me (Thanks for not charging me for something I didn't ask for!) Monday-7am backed vehicle down driveway and hear a clank. I could not drive anywhere, No Drive No reverse nasty smell. Turned on and off car shifted through gears nothing. Car would not engage. I checked transmission fluid, nothing! wiped it off checked again, Nothing. Turned car on checked it again, Nothing! And by nothing I don't mean I didn't see it. I mean nothing on the rag I was wiping the dip stick off on each time. I tried calling Brian and his number said that I had reached the wrong number and try again. I called again same thing. I looked up his number on the internet and same message. I called from my daughters phone same message, called from house phone, same message. First thought was this must be a scam and I canceled my check. (cost me $25) Then I had my daughter help me push vehicle back into my driveway. I only have a quart of transmission fluid at my house and was sure that wouldn't be enough so I called a Cab and went to work. (cost me $25 plus missed an hour and a half of work). Around 11:30 I decided to try calling Brian from my work and he answered. I explained what happened and there was no transmission fluid showing up on the dipstick. He said that's not possible he put fluid in and topped it off. He wanted to stop by and check it out but I was at work. I didn't text him what time I'd be home because I no longer wanted him working on my vehicle. He stopped by the house before I got home and my wife gave him the keys to work on my vehicle. He was done by the time I got home. He said he had to less than 2 quarts in it. My wife said she had watched him the entire time and he had used a container that was larger than a gallon of milk to fill vehicle then had to leave and get more. I wrote him out a new check again for the full amount because I'm a man of my word and that's the amount we agreed upon. Brian was genuinely shocked his phone was giving that message and that someone canceled a check on him. After he had left I pulled vehicle out of driveway and there was a shaking every time I turned to the left or the right. I have no idea how he didn't feel it when he was driving and when he backed it into the driveway. I bled out the air replaced less than a half quart of power steering fluid and now its back to norm. I have been meaning to write this review for a while now, as I am STILL suffering from the predicament that Bryan put me in. I had my radiator and fan replaced, both of which I come to find out I was overcharged for which totally broke me. He advertises that you can pay by either card or cash but was dead set on getting cash as he claimed his payment would be delayed and additional taxes would be avoided. I found myself running to the bank several times throughout the course of getting the car completed, which left me sucked dry toward the end. Eventually, I was left with a check engine light on which was NOT there prior to the work being done and a fan that runs after my car shuts off. As a result, my car dies after I shut it off and I am having to get jump starts all the time. The most crushing aspect of this whole experience is after having paid the con artist the full amount for the work I contacted him numerous times in a two week span afterward trying to get him to keep his word on fixing the previously mentioned issue to get the response of "I was only going to fix the check engine light as a favor to you" I was and am still in shock. I never thought in a million years a customer would experience treatment like that, but never again that's for damn sure! Steer clear of this fraud unless you feel like burning a whole in your wallet. Forgot to mention trying to get a hold of him is like next to impossible especially after you pay him. read more
