The very polite woman who answered the phone told me that sometimes they don't have the appropriate equipment to do the work and suggested I run by so that they could check. I did and they promptly check my vehicle then told me they didn't have the equipment necessary. I love honesty! I took my 2500 duramax in here a few months ago to have new tires and rims placed on it. I asked if…read morethey were compatible to which they said yes. I get the tires replaced, they do an alignment and they pull my truck out, nearly an hour and a half longer than they told me it would be. Before I leave, I tell them that my TPMS isn't showing any readings. The guy tells me to drive it a few times and the sensors should restore. So I take his word and leave. Of course the sensors never restore and NOW I have an ABS error and a trailer break error as well as a shaking wheel when going above 50mph. So I call and make another appointment. They tell me that the ABS error and trailer brake error had nothing to do with them, but to bring it in and have it realigned. These errors have NEVER shown up until the moment they pulled it out of their garage for the first time. They look at it again and tell me that they reset the sensors and everything should be working fine, and that they've redone the alignment. Again, I leave the store without tire sensors working with the promise it will work after a few drives. Of course, the sensors never return but the alignment is better. I call once again and make another appointment. This time they tell me that the TPMS needs to be replaced, after I was told that everything was compatible on the first tire change. They tell me it's going to cost me another couple hundred to have the TPMs done. They did end up giving me a discount, so I had them install the TPMS anyway. As well as fixing the alignment for the THIRD time. Again, another 1.5 hours longer than they said. Finally, my TPMS works, my alignment is good, BUT my trailer brake system and ABS are still showing errors. I took it to another shop and it turns out they did break my sensors during install of the new tires and rims. WHICH THEY DENIED HAVING ANY PART OF. AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS. They don't respect your time, they charge more than any shop in the area, and they deny when things are caused by them. I went in for a tire and rim replacement and ended up going in 3-4 times to have things redone. Take it to someone else. If you're a woman who drives a truck they'll treat you like you're incompetent. I've been told by other shops that they've stopped recommending this place because of their frequent unnecessary repairs, overcharging, and damaging vehicles.

Reasonable prices and got me back on the road in a timely manner would highly recommendread more

Brought in my elderly Volvo which had 1 cylinder not firing. They took notes on what I had checked…read more They said they'd check it out and wouldn't do repairs over $250 (I knew the problem was bigger than that!). They gave a detailed diagnosis with photos on their website, giving me time to think through what to do and what to defer. Their prices for the individual repairs were in line with what I saw online. After the repairs, the car ran well but by the time I got home the check engine light was on (different code). They took it right back, diagnosed the issue, and fixed it no charge, pleasantly. Not a problem since. These guys are good, and if they mess up, give them a chance to make it right. I am glad I found them, and will be a repeat customer.

So I bought a 2012 chevy sonic lt from the carhop down the street from this shop. The cars been…read morenothing but a headache. Breaking down on me only 3 weeks of driving it off the lot. Bitterling's auto has been doing their best to figure out why my car will not start as there seems to be an unknown internal issue. Ik Bitterling's team has been communicating with carhop the difficulties n have been doing their part. I recommend this shop due to their efforts, and soon to be, hopefully a return on my vehicle with no more issues.

I DROVE my car into Bitterlings, approved $500 worth of work, then got 2 more calls about an additional $200, then $150 worth of work needed. $850 total. When I was told I'd be able to pick my car up, I got another call that a part had FALLEN OFF my engine and it is NO LONGER RUNNING, requiring an additional $1050 worth of work to get it running again, a total of $1900. The car was older and almost at 100k miles so the estimated necessary work total had exceeded the value of the car. They still REQUIRED THAT I PAID the $850, even though this work did nothing to fix the vehicle because it NOW WON'T START. I also, went by the shop on a Saturday (not realizing they were closed for the entire weekend) to find my car parked on their lot with the DOORS UNLOCKED and my personal belongings inside. I was lucky nothing was stolen because they have signs all over their office saying they are not responsible for stolen property - so had anything been stolen, it would have been my responsibility, not theirs for leaving my vehicle unlocked on their unfenced, not secure property while they were closed with no one on site for 63 hours. ---- I am upset with the service here because I feel like I was taken advantage of and price gouged instead of hearing from an experienced mechanic about the extent of the work needed to repair my car. I was never given a full picture of the damage my car had sustained, instead I was told small estimates at separate times totaling to a lot of money that never actually fixed the car. Keep in mind, this car was running when I brought it to them so I basically paid for them to break my car and ask for even more money to fix that. I got multiple calls and estimates throughout the day while they were working on my car: 1st call- I was told I was lucky that I only needed $500 worth of work,  2nd call - thermometer needed to be replaced $200, 3rd call - small repair for oil leak $150. After approving all of this work and the 3rd time I had talked to them, they mentioned that the timing chain was stretched but I was told that it DIDN'T NEED TO BE FIXED and I could pick my car up by the end of the day. As the end of the day approached, I called to ask about picking up my car. She called back to tell me that while THE MECHANIC WAS DRIVING MY CAR OUT FOR PICKUP, THE TIMING CHAIN HAD FALLEN OFF AND NOW THE CAR WILL NOT START! To fix this they estimated an additional $1050 of work ($1,900 total). I said no to the work because I wanted to do some research, as now the total of all the work already approved and required, exceeded the value of the vehicle. Moneeba called me multiple times the day after my car broke asking for a decision on doing the additional work but when I asked for the estimates in writing she could not provide anything in writing. Moneeba said THEY DON'T PROVIDE ESTIMATES IN WRITING therefore, I must write it down myself (which is actually against the law in Washington to not provide written estimates for work over $100). She said she would try to put an invoice together with the work I had approved but it took 2 days to finally get the repairs they had done in writing. Still no written estimate for the work required to get the car running again. When I came in to speak to Moneeba and discuss options, she was defensive and demanding that they had done nothing wrong. The only thing that she did to right the wrongs of her shop (and I doubt she would have had I not requested it) was due to the fact that I could no longer drive my car off the property -  was she didn't charge me to store my car on the lot past the week mark while I tried to sell it. I'd also like to point out that the old owner, Don, no longer owns this auto shop and most of these reviews are for the business he ran. Bitterling's is not accredited by the BBB. Save yourself the hassle and stress I went through and go somewhere else!
